PSG only gat a very impressive performance in the Ligue 1 but lesser performance in the champions league, after their encounter with Newcastle in their last UCL game, I came to the conclusion that they are quite inconsistent especially in the champions league.

I doubt if PSG meets Dortmund they will be able to get complete three points from them because their inconsistency again may play out and I Also have some form of doubts as it concerns how well they will do in the round of sixteen because if they are finishing the group stage in the second spot then, they should be sure to meet tough teams and their form in the champions league is such that gives me some doubts if they will be able to make it pass that stages, except if they will be able to make good use of the transfer windows by January to strengthen their team further, after all they have got the financial capacity.

I think that's true, PSG has two different performances between Ligue 1 and the European Champions League. On paper they should be able to progress smoothly, considering that Enrique has quite good squad depth. However, it is quite difficult to explain what they really need apart from luck, even now Enrique squad is having difficulty getting through the group phase, so they are required to try in the life and death match against Dortmund on matchday 6. PSG failed, to get their revenge against Newcastle yesterday.

I have said before that Nice and Psg are teams that so far are strong candidates in the competition at the top of the standing because they are close on points to each other at the top of the standing. I don't think anyone is going to be able to beat PSG for the lake title. They should be able to win and the other teams will probably not be able to cause too much trouble for them. Nice is still in the chase. But I wonder for how long they are going to be. Because let's be honest, no other club is actually at the same level of competition as PSG. But on the other hand, Nice is definitely a team that will face a lot of competition. So it is easier for PSG to continue performing well and keep winning compared to Nice. They are a very rich club that have enough money to sign any player they would like indeed. However they will need to make extra effort for keeping their best players in the squad for long years as well.

For now they aren't very good at that. First Messi and Neymar have left the team. And now there is a high risk for losing Mbappe by next summer as well. Losing Mbappe means losing most of their strength. Because Mbappe equals PSG at the moment. They are too dependent on him. I wonder what Luis Enrique is planning against this possibility. In the match we only saw the dominance of Montpellier players. Montpellier players have 63% of the ball possession. And they were able to make 32 shots in the entire match. On the other hand, Clermont Foot had a total of 5 shots, one of which was on target. Clermont Foot was very lucky so they managed to get 1 point in this match. On the other hand, even after performing well, Montpellier could not get 3 points. Clermont Foot are still in the relegation zone. The chances of the team getting out of the relegation zone are very low.

Having only been Lyon coach for about a month, it is reported that Fabio Grosso has been fired as of today. This is very surprising news and I think this is a difficult decision because Lyon is still stuck in the relegation zone until week 12. Management seems less than happy with the results given by Fabio Grosso and they feel they have to end this partnership sooner than targeted in beginning.

I don't know whether this is the right decision or not for Lyon, but as one of the big teams in Ligue 1 they should prioritize more important things because there is no way they want to be relegated this season. On the other hand, for Fabio Grosso it seems that this is quite a regret to hit him and if he were still at Frosinone he would definitely still be the coach of a team.

In fact, there is nothing that forbids you from being disappointed with PSG. If we talk about Bangkit, PSG has done a good job in Ligue 1. Now, they are at the top of the standings even though they are only separated by a narrow point difference from the teams below them. even if Ligue 1 doesn't interest you, you don't actually need to watch the matches presented by this competition every week. so, it's that simple. and in fact, only PSG is the most elite team in this competition. they have abundant finances, they can even bring in the players they want. but even then, if there is a contract with the player they want.

But wouldn't it be fair to say that PSG can't change how Ligue 1 is perceived in public unless they do win the Champions League? It is the only result that would receive massive public recognition from outside. If PSG wins Ligue 1 with more than 100 points, who really cares when they get knocked out in the quarterfinals of the Champions League? Yes, I also agree with this. The Ligue 1 trophy should be the default win for PSG. The main target should be the Champions League trophy. I will not be disappointed with PSG performance because even though it ended in draw, it is much better than losing without getting points, but I regret seeing Lens performance, which was beaten big team from EPL with big score.

I'm already dissapointed with PSG performance, they really have to  belt up because that's the only solid path to grow this season. There are leagues that are weigh below the standards of EPL and such leagues only require audience to boost the performance of the playes. Ligue One seems to be very unserious to me because there's absolutely nothing so interesting abut the league, only PSG becomes the only elite clubs there. Paris Saint Germain have top targets this season and winning the Ligue One is among despite their hunger tastes for the UEFA Champions League trophy this season.

I share your PSG dissatisfaction. Though they lead Ligue 1, they seem to be on autopilot. You'd expect more fire from a team with their financial clout and talent, especially in a league less competitive than EPL. Ligue 1 isnt interesting due of the absence of competition and PSG's lack of challenge.

They may be constructing a team from scratch under Enrique, but the results are disappointing. Their present form makes Champions League dreams appear unlikely. Im not expecting them to advance past the quarterfinals or win the trophy. They should step up and show some serious ambition in Ligue 1 and Europe.
