At home Arsenal football club have been quite good and maintained a level and of balance still, they did well to dump six goals against Lens one of the best from the French league last season who had a great season all together. It seems like that nice will not be able to compete with PSG to get the trophy. Im feeling that PSG is likely winning the competition again. At the end, league is just another bundesliga which has been dominated by bayern for 11 years. I thought that nice and monaco would be strong competitors for PSG but it's likely we will have same result as last season.

Im not hoping to those clubs anymore. League 1 is just another farmer league for PSG. There must be billionaires who will be able to invest their money on the french league. Otherwise, PSG will keep dominate it.

Yearly, the Ligue 1 always have quite some surprises for we the fans. Since they’ve got some nice investments in 2019, they’ve been doing very well, After about 12 match weeks they sit 2nd in the Ligue 1, a point behind PSG and they hold the best defense in Europe’s top 5 league with about 9 clean sheets, and with the way they're going they could give PSG a very tough competition in winning the tournament.

 The way they build up from the back is really creative. But the fear is will they remain consistent because PSG are a team that knows the do and don’ts of this league and that’s one thing needed for winners. Psg have dominated the league because of it’s investment and that’s one thing that’s needed else they’ll still keep dominating this league and that will make the league a farmer’s league.

Paris Saint Germain are the strongest club here, they have everything that is superior to other clubs. It would be very strange if they couldn't defend their title, however I don't think there is a club that can match Paris Siant Germain in LIgue 1, because they have a lot of money. They need expensive players even though they will be able to buy them, as happened last season, where they are inhabited by star players, such as Messi, Neymar and their young star Mbappe. This is something that other clubs can't do, so it makes a huge difference in quality.

The club is rich and they are ready to spend so much than other clubs in the league to get any available player they want this alone shows how superior they are to other clubs who does not spend so much of buying players like the PSG team. Regardless of the PSG team not getting the results they have been looking for wieh the squad in the team but they have achieved so much in the league as they have dominated in the league with highest number of league trophies and club achievement so they remain the best till further notice.

To be able to match them, then the other clubs in Ligue 1 must have a lot of money too, it is possible that they can do without money, but it cannot last long. Now we have seen it, many clubs are good this season, but in the next season they do not show the same and even they are bad. Anyone who watched Paris Saint Germaine match against Newcastle on Tuesday night will surely agree with the fact the English Premier League club was a better team in the 90 minutes. Newcastle was denied a win after Kylian Mbappe scored a stoppage time penalty to help draw his club to level with Newcastle. PSG has been very impressive in the French Ligue 1 but they've not been replicating same form in the European Cup. Borussia Dortmund who I thought were gonna struggle in the group F has turned out to be the first team in the group to reach the knockout stages of the competition.

Another French Ligue 1 club, Lens were humiliated yesterday in a game I thought they were gonna give their hosts Arsenal a difficult game but unfortunately for Lens, the game was already won after the first 45 minutes of the game with Arsenal leading by 5 goals to nil. I don't think it's going to be good season for French teams in the UEFA Champions League competition

The financial strength of PSG is what distinguishes them from other clubs in Ligue 1. With their strong financial base, they could buy more than enough good players. But other clubs in the French League are becoming competitive like we saw last season when they won the league with just one point. PSG is obviously a top team and it’s very normal if they’re dominating in Ligue 1, where the fans needed changes and the main reason why Luis Enrique was hired was to get this team success in European tournaments and that’s one thing that he’s already failing. Newcastle being in top form pose a threat to PSG but the hosting team PSG was probably great enough to get at least one point from this Newcastle side so as to get their spot in Round of 16 of the tournament

 I think they don’t really have the squad depth to grant them success so far and I think the Round of 16 might be the closing stage for this PSG side except they do some quick and critical shopping in the January market, to bluster their team and strengthen all the weak areas that needs to be strengthened.

There are a number of teams in Ligue 1 who have the ability to break the dominance of PSG but not too strong to hold PSG until the end of the season. On the other hand, Clermont Foot had a total of 5 shots, one of which was on target. Clermont Foot was very lucky so they managed to get 1 point in this match. On the other hand, even after performing well, Montpellier could not get 3 points. Clermont Foot are still in the relegation zone. The chances of the team getting out of the relegation zone are very low.

I think this defeat will not have any effect on Lens' performance in Ligue 1 and they will still focus on maintaining their existing winning trend. Maybe they lost to Arsenal in the Champions League but they also did the same thing in the first round by beating Arsenal. Even though there is only a slot left in the European league, at least it is still better than not continuing the competition at all in Europe.

Lyon is not an obstacle that will stop Lens and I don't think Lyon is still able to make it difficult for Lens to keep getting 3 points. Lens must win if they want to overtake Reims and then they will be closer to the top 4. The current Lens is different from the Lens we previously knew at the start of the season and I'm happy to see them back on the right track.

Even though PSG couldn't make the best start in the league first they still managed to get to the lead easily and opened a quite wide gap with the others - except Nice. This just shows the quality of the Ligue 1 clearly I'm afraid. PSG even made big changes in their lineup this season. Probably this season is going to be another one in which PSG win the league title no matter how difficult it becomes.

Maybe Nice can make things more difficult but I don't know. We need to see at least the same performance which Lens had in the previous season.

But I will say that there is still a chance. I cannot even say that for the other team in this league. They have fallen off so far that there is almost no chance for them to be able to catch PSG. If any team can actually catch PSG now it is going to be Nice. For every other team, the point difference is just too much to be able to close. I really believe that Nice's present shape is a trick. Yes, they haven't lost yet, but those five draws show something else. It doesn't look good for their long-term chances that they've had trouble against teams like Lille and Lyon. They beat PSG, Monaco, and Marseille, which is great, but in a long season, stability is very important. There needs to be more wins instead of draws if they want to be seen as a real threat to PSG

I think PSG's attention might shift based on how they do in Europe, but that doesn't mean Nice will be able to play in Ligue 1. PSG is a tough team to beat in any game because they have a lot of depth and experience under Enrique's direction. I was surprised, even though this match was played without spectators, but it seemed the tension in this match was very high. The proof is that there are lots of cards in this match, especially red cards. I wonder if these two teams are rivals that have been going on a long time or maybe there is something else going on . The reason is, for a match that brings together a lower team in the standings, but the match should go fine, but in reality that's not the case at all. Even though their position in the standings is also quite wide, Montpellier is in 13th position and Clermont is in 17th position and is in the relegation zone. But even so, they only have a gap of 3 points but ya, many incidents occurred in this match and it was a match that had very high tension of course.

On paper they should be able to progress smoothly, considering that Enrique has quite good squad depth.
