I don't know why people feel PSG is a strong team, is it because they are the best in Ligue 1. I don't see their performance improving, to me they're stagnant because there's no prove that they're improving like what people always say. PSG always win their league either with a weak coach or an average coach, but they cannot win UCL. This makes no difference, it's until they have won UCL, is when I will believe that they have improved.

Several years ago it was Olympic Lyon that was the best in the French Ligue1 until the Qatari investors bought PSG and made it what it is today and ever since PSG was transformed no other French side has been able to challenge them, not because they are not good enough but because PSG is far more stronger than them  in all ramifications, in terms of quality of players, coaches, and also in terms of financial power which is most important to be able to bring in the best players from any part of the world but most interestingly, seeing PSG defeat the likes of Olympic Marseille, Monaco and some of the strong sides in the French Ligue1 goes further to show that they still have their sway in the Ligue1 and only need to focus more in the Champions League and may be one day they might win it just as Manchester city did.

The problems both teams have in their defenses from time to time increase the chances of mutual goals in this match. For this reason, I think that both teams will score goals and it will be a competitive match. Considering the playing styles of both teams, Lille is one step ahead, but it is difficult to choose a favorite in such matches.

It makes sense, indeed so far, PSG's dominance this month is not as tight and big as previous seasons. At least if we look at the number of points, Monaco can compete with it. and if we look at the goals, the players from Marseille can also compete with it. This season it's been quite competitive in the ligue 1 even though the dominance has still remained with PSG but the dominance has not changed as they still retain a very good position around the tops of the table which can be considered as a quiet impressive performance so far, Marseille also been of a good performance which has earned them the level of popularity they have got recently, when we compare their last season performance, there's a clear difference even if they have been unable to really match up with PSG, but they don't have to in other to really stand out enough in their league performance this season.

He prefers the short way when it comes to the club’s success in winning trophies but he is less concerned about how they need to shape young players to develop and integrate with the club. He has a lot of money to bring in the players he wants but is there a guarantee for PSG to be able to win the Champions League in particular and this is still a big problem for any coach even though for Ligue 1 they are still strong enough as a title contender that is difficult for other teams to match.

PSG's difficulties in the Champions League are real even though in the past they had three world star players in the team. There is no shorter success in football and maybe PSG should change their habits a little if they want to achieve success in the future.

Indeed, in the last two matches Lyon experienced bad things, losing and drawing while Lille was quite good, but if we look back they have a very profitable Lyon h2h and the results are almost always a draw and in my opinion this match is quite difficult if you bet on 1x2 and in my opinion this match will end, it is better to avoid the risk of losing.

When you see them in the Champions League, they are just an ordinary team, they cannot compete closely with other teams from other leagues that also have the status of big teams. 1 win, 1 draw and 1 defeat are their records in 3 matches in the Champions League. Marseille would have had a chance to draw the game if they didn't receive that red card very early in the game. You can't be 1 man down against PSG and still expect to win by attacking man to man against PSG. Marseille are 3rd on the table and have been very good this season but alot still need to be done to challenge for the title. They could have drawn that game but I won't say they would have been able the win it. PSG are still stronger than them and even with 11 players on the field, they still won't have won. Look at the statistics from the game, Marseille couldn't even hold possession as everything was controlled by PSG and I'm surprised that more goals weren't scored.

I disagree with you who said both teams have problems in defense, of these two teams, only Lyon has problems in defense, we can see it from the total goals conceded by both teams. Lille has 8, the same number as Paris Saint-Germain. Lyon has more, so far they have conceded 14 goals. So, there's no shadow that Lille will concede many goals in their upcoming match. My prediction is Lille will win by 2 goals in this match & also BTTS.

PSG are dominating the league due to their financial status which enables them get the best players from any part of the world and the best coaches because they can afford them, yet that cannot be said about teams like Rennes, Lens, Lille, and the rest of them who could barely afford a player that is valued at 80 million Euros and above and in a situation where any good player emerges in any of these smaller teams in France then it is PSG who are still going to be the prospective buyers and that's why they keep dominating the league continually.

This season PSG's transition is actually happening especially with the overhaul in recent seasons after Enrique tried to eliminate the Ligue 1 version of galacticos this could actually be worrying, but until now PSG is still quite good for Ligue 1.

But recently i have checked about squad update for both teams that i have seen apparently Lille is in the unfavorable situation because they lost at least 7 players who got the injury or suspension so these conditions makes me doubt Lille will be able to win this match because losing those players certainly will have an effect to Lille performance today so that's why after seeing these factor probably Lyon can being an the winner of this match and Lyon win has odds @3.10

PSG has been facing big challenges in the UCL every season, but I think with the change in the format of the UCL this season precisly PSG performance is much worse than the previous seasons, so far PSG has continued to bring many stars to its squad but they has forgotten that mentality is an important factor that a team must have if they want to compete and win the UCL so far,  and it's something that PSG hasn't had so far so it's quite natural if it's hard for them to win the UCL trophy, I think for now they need to improve their consistency, mentality and performance to cmpete with  strong other teams in the UCL , to be able to get a chance to qualify for the next round of course inevitably they have to win 3 points from the rest of the teams they will face later.
I don't want to talk about their chances and abilities in ligue 1 , because it is undeniable that they are the only team that dominates in Ligue 1 and it is difficult for other teams to can break their dominance.

Of course Lille are the favourites to face Lyon, aside from the fact that they are playing in front of their own fans, they are unbeaten in their last five Ligue 1 games, having won three and drawn two since losing to Saint-Etienne. In their last two UCL matches they also managed to achieve consecutive wins after defeating Spanish capital teams Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid. Lyon could only manage a draw when hosting Auxerre in Ligue 1 and previously they lost to Besiktas in the UEL. Lille will try to secure three points in this game to keep the gap with Marseille as both have 17 points.

I agree with you that Lille is not a weak team at the moment and this team has a better defense than Lyon. But even so, it does not mean that Lyon cannot provide resistance because Lyon is actually one of the teams that can score a lot in 9 matches. So at least Lyon can still provide resistance of at least 1 score.




BTW, I also bet on the Monaco vs Angers match and I chose the BTTS option because I believe that even though Angers is only a promoted team this season, this team can always provide resistance to every popular team.
