What a shocker. I never expected this game to end like this. If I was given 10 chances to predict the Liverpool vs Manchester United game I would not have gotten close to this outcome. Funny enough I met someone who placed a bet that there would not be up to 2 goals in this game. I didn't take him seriously because I was sure there were going to be at least 3 goals in this match.
Especially with the way the first half went, it was impossible to predict the game would end in a goalless draw at Anfield.

Onana is not a quality goalkeeper to protect this team, I think his performance is very inadequate. This is one of the biggest reasons why Manchester has difficulty in European matches.
Altay Bayındır is a good goalkeeper, but like Onana, I have doubts about how successful he can be in this team. Still, if he was given a chance, it would be good to see him on the field a little, at least Manchester would have tried something different

You people just like to pick on certain players when the whole team is an ass. Onana made about 6 great saves today but it's the mistake he made that made the headline. How long will it take you all to see that when a team is poor, the goalkeeper suffers the most? Liverpool had over 30 goal attempts, and 8 shots on target. What kind of a team would allow that to happen if not a shit team.
Ten Hag and his boys need to sit up and stop putting all the blame on Onana every time.

Man Utd proving to be a hard nut to crack. I expected it btw because more often than not Big teams will often lose to smaller teams but deliver world class performance against teams in the top 4. This is becoming a norm especially this season with Chelsea deliver big performances against City, Liverpool and Arsenal but lost at home to Brentford some weeks back.
Anyway, second half is underway. I have my fingers crossed for this half and hope Liverpool finds the net on more than one occasion + 3 points.

Manchester United are playing a completely defensive strategy against Liverpool today. The United Ten Hag is well aware that Manchester United have no chance of winning against Liverpool. That is why he is keen to draw the match 0-0 by playing a defensive strategy.

Liverpool actually played like a home team, they where constantly trying to maintain the pressure on Manchester United. However the game ending goalless draw, was a fair share for both teams.

We don't usually see such poor defensive gameplay in the Premier League. And so I was very disappointed with Manchester United's performance in today's match. The players of Manchester United did not make any attempt to score. Manchester United is not a weak team. Despite having a strong squad, Manchester United's performance has been poor. But I would have been happy if Liverpool had won. Because in today's match, we are only dominated by Liverpool. I saw 69% possession of the ball by Liverpool players. At the same time, Liverpool players made a total of 34 shots. Even then he could not score a single goal.
However, Liverpool dropped 1 point behind Arsenal due to the loss of points in this match. Liverpool lost the top spot in the points table.

You shouldn't be disappointed by Manchester United performance, they've been inconsistent lately, remember they lost their last match, so draw against Liverpool isn't a bad idea. Manchester United showed an incredible performance over their opponent side Liverpool, and finally picked up a point after they suffered their last week home defeat to Bournamouth, while Liverpool stepped down on the league table by locking horns with the Red Devils.
Both teams played good football and a point share was well deserved as it was an entertaining goalless draw. Onana had some fantastic saves in today's game and he performed ahead expectation. And in the end Arsenal has returned back to the top of the table with 39 points and 1 point ahead of Liverpool 38 points as Liverpool drew their game.

Manchester United seems to be getting used to playing well against top teams but has failed to achieve similar performance in relatively winnable matches. Manchester United's current defense is relatively good at dealing with pressure, but they also managed to overwhelm Liverpool's defense, especially before Antony was substituted.

Liverpool repeatedly failed to take advantage of their goal opportunities until the end of the match and all of this made the players very frustrated. Ten Hag may have paid dearly for his team's good performance today, but unfortunately Dalot, who was agitated by emotion, had to get a red card due to excessive protests. The draw against Liverpool was a good result for Manchester United considering their less consistent performance, but it was also beneficial for Manchester City, Aston Villa and Arsenal.

Liverpool had many scoring opportunities but could not capitalize. I am beginning to see the Haaland effect and most importantly KDB absence because I'm sure that if those two were to have started that match, they would have done a lot of fatality to Crystal Palace but it is weird to me how Palace came back with 2 goals against the city under 38 minutes left for the game.

Guardiola might have his reason better than what most people are assuming but technically, this doesn't make sense why he didn't used him but maybe he think they are at home and they will dominate and it does almost happen but in the end, it turn the other way. There is Champions League break for now, it's better he make full use and potential of those players now that the league is not yet half, if they reach middle it will become more competitive and tough and to catch up will be hard by then.

Manchester United could not show any presence in the match. They shot only once on target at Liverpool's goal throughout the match. Although Liverpool was the superior and oppressive side, they could not score until the end of the match. The match ended in a draw and there was no winner. I think it's a good point for Manchester United. There were many teams that returned from this away game without any points.

Manchester United this season do always have good performance against big teams, that is why I expected them to get at least a point in this match just as they did against Chelsea and luckily it worked because as an Arsenal fan I am happy with the outcome of the result because Arsenal has now gone back to the top of the Premier League table with one point difference. Now only match between Arsenal and Liverpool at Anfield will determine their respective position but I will also expect a draw in the match since Arsenal and Liverpool will not always wants to lose.

Manchester united did had an average performance today probably because they have left the champion's league and were also unable to make it to the Europa so they are giving their very best to at least finish top four so they can get an appearance in next seasons UCL. Onana did made some good saves today that did appear a bit impressive.

I agree with you that Manchester united have most often showed this level of resistance with bigger teams trying to make sure they steal a point from them but if they meet average teams they tend to just be complacent and loose in some cases. Arsenal getting back to the top of the table is a good one for them but they must not lay down their guards as they are just one point away from the team at second position which means with a win Liverpool could be back at the top of the table again but I think Arsenal is beginning to have a better chance at the league title than with others on the table.

Jurgen Klopp dissapointed and Erik Ten Hag prosper, his defensive strategy do actually works and they have the best defendlines that could label them to be infront against Liverpool. André Onana deserves his flowers, he made brilliant saves and gave hope for the Red Devils when everyone thought they could end up not having a relevant results. The match was entertaining, and there's presence of high pressures measured by both sides. The match, Liverpool vs Manchester united ended 0-0 with both sides giving everything to record good scores.

I agree with your line of thought, the defensive patterns Ten hag played actually paid of at some point, because i feel he set the formation with a defensive mindset,  even when he introduced rashford to the game it wasn't effective because of the pattern of play he came in to meet, they where all falling back to defend and also running to the front for counter attack, Antony was making good runs from his wing, but had poor passes and crosses to strikers especially whenever he gets close to the goal mouth.

Imo, Man Utd showed some class today against Liverpool compared to their 0-3 defeat at home to Bournemouth last week. Coming into this match, Ten Hag knew that his team has a shortage of quality compared to Liverpool. As a matter of fact, Bookies thought Liverpool will run this over with a strong win (1.3+ odds) while draw at 6+ odds and man utd to win at 8+ odds. What this means is that Liverpool was supposed to win effortlessly.

Recall that Man Utd has 12+ players either on suspension or injured yet they were able to hold off a Liverpool team that has looked unstoppable in recent games.

This was a fine performance from Man Utd and they did have some good chances here and there like that Hojlund encounter with Alisson Becker.

I think a lot of bad luck was on Liverpool tonight and more specifically on Alexander Arnold which had at least 3 goals opportunities in the second half which he should have at least converted once.Manchester United has done what they needed to do to get at least one point from this game considering that they come after so much bad results recently and this for them can be considered a good result.

Of course the bookies have gone somewhat wrong with the odds,despite Liverpool being the favorite in this game you cannot give to any team 1.30 odds when playing against Manchester United at home no matter who they are just for the history that Manchester United has.

LOL... your expectations was actually the expectation of many people and especially the media as they have made the story trend by reminding us the matter at Which Jose Mou was sacked after he lost to Liverpool. Your mentioning of Jürgen Klopp made me remember his statement before the match with Manchester United. He made it known to the media that he is not confident of winning the match. He said he loves to play Manchester United when the club is in good form and not the period when the club is not strong and everyone is seeing them as the weak side. He said it is when Manchester United tends to being out their best.

I'd love it if you can go read his recent comments about his form, he remains and good goalkeeper and non of you who lash out on him c an change the fact. Manchester United have issues and it has really affected the entire team performance. Even Bruno Fernandez dropped form and haven't been playing like he did last season. Andrea Onana is not the problem you fail to understand that and it's clear you have some level of difficulty understanding football. Knock it off!!

Good game from the lads, this is a game Liverpool should tear Manchester United apart but they couldn't. You must give praise to the players. Love the biased support from Arsenal fans lol so they could sit at the top of the league. Anyways, I also want em to win the Premier League.

There were doubts about winning because Arsenal were unable to score a single goal in the first half, but in the second half a glimmer of hope began to emerge and the opening goal was scored by Gabriel Jesus in the 55th minute and closed with a goal scored by Kai Havertz at the end of the match. Aston Villa is an important team and I think their biggest chance is Unai Emery. He is a very experienced coach and one of the coaches who knows best what to do where and how to play which players. They are currently pushing for the top of the league with this squad and they are also in this race. Aston Villa is a team with a championship possibility and if they make it to the end of the league, they can even become champions. I think we should not be unfair to them.

It was a disappointing game. It's not good football for these two teams.  Or rather, it didn't suit Liverpool, which is expected of United. Ten Hag won a bit more time by not losing, that's all. 34 shots, 0 goals. Shots on Onana, so many missed chances. I haven't seen a more inept team than Liverpool for a long time. Liverpool showed their worst finishing of the year today. Also in a week when Aston and Arsenal took points. Liverpool urgently need to buy a striker and a left wing. Nunez is already bad, Diaz is inconsistent. If these places aren't filled, they won't be champion.

I was thinking about the game between Manchester United vs Liverpool, I can't see anything exciting in that game and I was expecting a massive demolition on Man UTD but it was as if the Liverpool side wasn't up to the task to get the job done.
With the way Liverpool played today I don't see them as title contenders but a team that's just playing to make the top 4.
I would give a thumbs up to Manchester United because despite the injuries and shortage of players they still got a point in that fixture, and I just wish this would give them a morela booster to get all 3 point in their next game.

It was a great match defensively by Manchester United, The red devils didn't give away many big chances. They had some opportunities to counter-attack in the second half. A good stratigy allowed them share the point with liverpool.Contrats to the united for the draw and be the first team to come away with a point from Anfield this season in the Premier League.

Anytime Crystal Palace has a match against Crystal Palace at home, they struggle to win even if they lead with a goal, Palace is always good at rebounding at their neck and making sure City concede a goal. I stopped watching the match when Manchester City led with 2 goals to nill against Palace only to see that the table was the same. I am beginning to see the Haaland effect and most importantly KDB absence because I'm sure that if those two were to have started that match, they would have done a lot of fatality to Crystal Palace but it is weird to me how Palace came back with 2 goals against the city under 38 minutes left for the game.

Guardiola might have his reason better than what most people are assuming but technically, this doesn't make sense why he didn't used him but maybe he think they are at home and they will dominate and it does almost happen but in the end, it turn the other way. There is Champions League break for now, it's better he make full use and potential of those players now that the league is not yet half, if they reach middle it will become more competitive and tough and to catch up will be hard by then.

Basically, Manchester City appeared very dominant in the match against Crystal Palace, but they were very unlucky in securing their lead. A mistake late in the second half destroyed Manchester City's hopes of victory, especially as Crystal Palace were awarded a penalty. Manchester City continued to perform well in many matches even without De Bruyne, but failed to maintain their lead due to defense.

Pep Guardiola must be able to solve this problem of inconsistency quickly if he still wants to maintain his title dominance for four consecutive seasons, but honestly I don't expect Manchester City to continue doing this every season. With the way I saw Liverpool play against Manchester United today, I doubt they would be much of a threat to the top title contender of which Arsenal and Manchester city rank top.
