It is a little difficult to predict this match, Manchester United and WestHam are with a point difference, it would be very reasonable to say Westham is inconsistent because this team is more often in the mid-table while in contrast to Manchester United, which should be able to compete with other top teams, this team has always experienced setbacks and Erik Ten Hag still cannot do anything this season.

Seeing how Manchester United can beat Chelsea, I think they will able to win against West Ham since Manchester United has good stats in terms head to head, Manchester United win 19 times from 33 matches. West Ham was suffer a bad result in their last match, so they're not really that strong anymore.

Bruno will playing and I don't see Rashford on the lineup, so this will give a chance for Antony, Garnacho and Hojlund to play without ego.

Am just glad I didn’t get to take that game for a live bet because I nearly did. Just how did these guys after about 85 minutes of game play came with no goals on the score sheet came ip with 2 goals in less than 5 minutes. The goal market was something I was looking at for a bet but, I’m glad to have kept my cool though.

Something I liked about the game though, how the referee came to the right conclusion in his decision making. Especially in the Aston Villa first disallowed goal from Bailey. It would have been yet another VAR flaw should the goal had been allowed to say d as the goalkeeper was clearly withheld.
Sheffield had a good game I must say, coming up get a draw out of this dull.

I took a bet in this game because I knew Aston Villa would win easily and it would not be difficult to get goals but it was beyond prediction Sheffield was able to hold a draw and certainly a little disappointed with this result. Damn it 

I don't know what to make of the referee's decision, maybe it was right or a VAR error? What is clear is that this goal has been disallowed by the referee.

Sheffield can only defend and that's good enough until the end, well bored is quite clear especially without a goal until the 85th minute.

Most of the time while a team is performing good for the specific time peoples not dare to check history and goes against them which is terrible same happen in today match now I watch many complaining about this but if they are able to check history then surely things can be understandable in last ten games now we have four draws four wins for the Sheffield United and two wins for the Aston Villa which is clearly indicating this is going to be not easy game for the host club so happen as well.

Even we have mostly Aston Villa in strong position, and they were completely controlling this match as well but still not able to have a goal in 90 minutes and concede one in 88th minute with having equalizer into 98th minute which give them one priceless point.

Manchester City performed much better as they managed to score 4 goals without Haaland.  Julian Alvarez managed to score a pair of goals with the magic of his feet alone. Manchester City's attack was very difficult as the opposing Fluminense team was very weak. The players of Fluminense team could not make a hard attack and the goalkeeper of Manchester City was able to prevent it easily. Manchester City's defense and goalkeepers in particular are so strong that they perform well against other clubs. Those who bet on Manchester City easily won the bet as Manchester City performed well here in the main.

Manchester City was already given the bigger odds in this match because with all indications Fluminense will not have an edge over them. From the goalkeeper, to the defenders, to the midfielders and finally the strikers of Manchester City did exceptionally well and their opponent could not absorb all of that pressure and gave in. This is not a match to be wondered about, Manchester City won the match and they showed the hardwork that gave them the winning.

The major challenge Manchester city have in this period, is in the area of strikers because since De Bruyne, Erling Haaland and other players started experiencing injuries they begin to reduce points  especially in the premier league table.  I think, Manchester city has potential squads in the team which even though Erling Haaland is not on ground and there are other players on bench who can handle his position before he recover which is what is happening now in some matches. I believe Manchester city will use home advantage to embrace victory from  Brentford in their home to increase to third position because they will not allow Brentford to take advantage of them in this match.

Aston Villa does not have the good mentality to be in first place, their performance is sometimes unpredictable, even though they were previously able to appear surprising, this draw was not the expected result because Shef Utd should have been able to be beaten easily knowing that Shef Utd is a weak club. However, I hope Aston Villa will not repeat mistakes like this when competing against weak teams and can take advantage of the upcoming matches so they can compete with Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City at the top of the standings.

Manchester City won their 5th title into 2023 which is good as now they are ending their year on high note, and they thrash all sides in this Club World Cup which is now also regular event of soccer world in Saudi Deserts, but now it's time for the champions to take look into their performance in English Premier League as they are at 4th spot and things are going out of the control for them if they are not going to have positive change in coming days.

The competition is fiercer and more even this season, which makes everything more interesting and less boring. But a small difference in points can also mean that changes to clubs at the top of the standings will continue to occur quickly. Man City also certainly still has a big chance with the current point difference. But if Man City does not improve in the next matches then this could make Man City lose the opportunity to regain the top ranking.

I actually never thought that Aston Villa would be ranked 2nd this season, even if only temporarily. In fact, Aston Villa is also more productive than Arsenal because the number of goals Aston Villa has is also slightly more. But unfortunately Aston Villa also doesn't have a strong enough defense which means they also have a record of conceding quite a lot of goals. So Arsenal is still at the top of the standings because of this difference. I personally also look forward to Spurs joining the title race. Because when Maddison comes I think Tottenham will improve again.

I've absolutely nothing to say because this was their chance to top Manchester City but with the look of things and how everything might pan out to be, there will be no active engagement coming from Aston Villa.

This should not be a surprise because when Aston villa played against Manchester City and Arsenal there aim was to be at the top that's why they are putting more effort to win those matches, as for Sheffield United their new manager want then to move out from relegation zone, even Aston villa were very surprised because they don't estimate it to come out like that because the believe that if Arsenal, Manchester city can not make it out in the home then who are Sheffield United. I have the club I fans both this two teams Aston villa and Sheffield United I keep observing them especially Sheffield United since they changed their manager, I want to see the effect of that which it as started showing, before now I consider Sheffield United as dustbin for other to just come and collect their full points and go.

Manchester City started this season a little badly and I think this is due to the many injured players so the team's performance has dropped a bit, but that doesn't mean they won't be able to compete for the Premier League title this season, I'm still quite sure Manchester City will can bounce back like they did last season.

The competition in the Premier League standings this season is quite fierce and I think it is still the same as what happened in the previous season, the Premier League teams have almost equal quality so there is quite fierce competition.
Currently, I think there are several teams that are likely to occupy the top 4 positions and it is difficult to predict because this season is still very long.

Aston Villa is only able to control the match but there is not much effort in attack based on statistics only 4 shots on target of course it's not enough to win the match even though almost all of us think Aston Villa will win but luck is not on their side. Even though the two teams drew, I thought Sheffield was only lucky with 2 shots on target 1 goals obviously this is a luck and Sheffield can't depend on luck. In the next match Aston Villa will face Manchester United who deserves to win? I worry that there will be another trap when almost everyone favored Aston Villa then the final result they lost or draw it doesn't make sense but that's the fact.

The 18th round has started and the first match took place today between Crystal Palace vs Brighton and this match was home match for Crystal Palace but they failed to win and only ended in 1 - 1 draw, this result is quite natural because Brighton is also good team strong.

The match between Crystal Palace and Brighton was not much surprising to me since both teams are strong, although for the first place before the game started, I was thinking Crystal Palace would beat Brighton since they do much better than Brighton and they are at home, so I was thinking Crystal Palace would use the advantage of home to beat Brighton, which they failed to do.

Crystal Palace strength and superiority is influenced by the home match and if match had been outside their home ground then I would be sure that Brighton could win the match.
I know the quality of both of them is almost equal in that match but on the outside I wouldn't say they both have the same strength.
Crystal Palace itself has defense line that is not that good but yes they have the advantage so that is why Brighton is having difficulty getting goals to win the match.
Moreover, Brighton was stronger in dominating the game in term of possession of the ball and the level of attacks they carried out.
Brighton should be better in the future because Aston Villa, which was on par with Brighton last season, is now developing rapidly and Brighton should be able to do it too.

It seems that in the 18th round there will be surprise where there will be shift in position in the standings for the top teams and of course the most interesting thing is the Liverpool vs Arsenal match because both have difference of 1 point.
If Liverpool wins, it is possible that Arsenal will go down because Liverpool is in first place and Aston Villa will play Sheff Utd, if Aston Villa wins, Arsenal will be in 3rd place.
This is pretty hot round in the match schedule because it really affects every top-ranked team in shifting positions.

Yes. Normally, some teams will drop from their position in the standings and leave it for another team in this round because many teams that are not performing well have started getting stronger. However, I think Arsenal and Liverpool are the top teams, which are the first and second, but mind you, I don’t think Arsenal will leave that position to Liverpool again like they did a few days ago, which was unable to secure the position. For a long time, which made me believe that even this one Arsenal will remain there, Liverpool cannot take that position, and Arsenal will try their possible best to remain there either.
 
However, I don’t know what makes you believe that Arsenal will even be in third place even if their points drop. Arsenal's performance is great, and they beat any team currently in the Premier League competition, so why do you think Arsenal will drop to that extent?

The Aston Villa vs Sheff Utd match ended in draw and this is good thing for Arsenal because in the match against Liverpool they will lose so the gap is not that far behind.
I don't know what will happen to the top teams in this round of 18 but I am really waiting for the Arsenal vs Liverpool match and this is the most interesting match that brings together the two top team with their condition on the rise.

Do you believe Liverpool can beat Arsenal and take first place in their next match? Liverpool has home advantage and it looks like both team will remain favorites.

aston villa is the biggest surprise this season. i don't believe that aston villa can compete for the championship but this happened. with a very minimal transfer budget but the achievement is extraordinary. but with an inadequate squad, can it be consistent until the end of the season because there are still many trips or matches to go through. and the main squad can just get injured in the middle of the road, well if that happens, can the reserve squad replace it as well as the main squad.

Everton are looking to be in their best form at the moment as they had won 4 games in a row in the English Premier League without conceding a single goal. Looking at Everton in the last few weeks it looks quite convincing. Because in these 4 positive results there were actually two matches that most people were surprised by these results. Namely when Everton was able to beat Chelsea and Newcastle. But one thing that we have to consider is that Everton managed to beat Chelsea and Newcastle when Everton was the host. So I'm not sure whether Everton will play well again when they visit Spurs headquarters.

I was also considering a draw at first but after I knew this was a home game for Spurs then I was confident enough to favor Spurs in today's match.

Nicolo Zaniolo saved Aston Villa from defeat and since his loan from Galatassary last summer this was his first goal in the EPL with Aston Villa. Obviously this is an equally important result even though they only got one point after ending in a 1-1 draw against Sheffield and they also moved up to 2nd place in the standings and have the same 39 points as Arsenal. Even though Arsenal and Liverpool have not yet started their matches this week, it is clear that Aston Villa will still remain at the top and is 5 points away from Manchester City, which is currently in 4th position in the standings.

Unai Emery is a phenomenal coach this season and perhaps he is the only coach from last season who has remained consistent until now because De Zerbi (Brighton) and Eddie Howie (Newcastle) in the end were not very consistent in bringing their team and were unable to compete at the top.

The first half of Aston Villa's match against Sheffield United is over.
The comparison of strength is quite visible in this match and it seems that Sheffield is still trying to make the match a draw by focusing on defense and without a single attack in this first half for them.
Honestly, I think this could have been an unfortunate situation for Aston Villa even though they dominated and the comparison was quite far but when the Sheffiled players were crowded in the defense area and the poor finishing of Aston Villa, it could have ended with 1 point for each of them even though the hope remained in the victory of Aston Villa.
Emery must do a better scheme in the second half so that the attacks they make are not always wasted because seeing from the match in this first half even though there were several attempted kicks made but Aston Villa's on target opportunities were still very few.

Aston Villa is playing with high confidence due to the results they got in the last few matches but indeed this will be very difficult if the opponent is quite passive in the match. In the first 45 minutes of the first half Sheffield tactically only defended because they realized if they came out and did an open game then this would be very profitable for Aston Villa so they would only try to survive and try to maximize the draw.

Indeed, there needs to be some changes, especially for the attacks made by Aston Viilla in today's match but this can actually make them even more profitable because with the sporadic attacks made, it is actually only a matter of time for Sheffield to let their guard down and concede goals in the second half later if the scheme they do remains the same.

Their performance was not bad but Sheffield also played very well in this match which made Aston Villa difficult in this match which made them have to be willing to share points even though this was their chance to be able to get 3 points in this match while bringing Aston Villa at the top.

With this result Aston Villa is still quite good because it can still go up to position 2 where Liverpool still hasn't played, it's just that this is not too expected because after all it would be great to see them at the top even though it's only temporary.

Without many injured players, Newcastle United would have gotten troubles because of their unfamiliar with playing in both Premier League and Champions League. They will need some seasons for their coach and players to adapt to this new challenge from fixture and have better long term plans to avoid physical exhaustion and injuries.

Luton is weaker than Newcastle United but they can look at another weak team, Sheffield United which successfully got one point from Aston Villa.

If you look at the quality of the two teams, Newcastle should have a large percentage of winning this match, but Luton is also a very strong team when they play at home and Newcastle is currently not at their best, so in this match, even though Newcastle is the favourite. but I think they will be very difficult and there is still a possibility that Newcastle cannot win.
I didn't dare bet on either team in this match, it was quite risky and I chose to bet on goals over 2.5 with odds of 1.82. I thought it was quite worth it after seeing the statistics of both teams who were productive in scoring goals in their last few matches.
