There is only one game today which is going to be between Southampton and Brentford in St. Mary's. I'm aware of the fact that these two teams both are not at very ideal positions but I'm still expecting it to be a competitive game. And I'm favouring Southampton here. Southampton lost only once in their home games so far in this season. I think that we will see at least three goals in this game and Southampton could win by 2-1.

Certainly Southampton will give everything to try to win. If you win the game, you can pass Brentford on the leaderboard.

But Brentford have been doing a little better than Southampton. So, despite the bookmaker giving greater odds of Southampton winning, I think the match will be in favor of Brentford.

I agree that we will see an interesting match and possible the scoreline will be more than 3 goals but I'm not so sure that Southampton will win this. Brentford has been proven a tough opponent and a lot better than Southampton in defense. If Brentford score first, then things for "The Saints" will not be easy to turn on their side.

Honestly I think Brentford has a chance here, Saints have been struggling ever since Danny Ings left and there is no proper striker in their team. The best goalscorer they have right now is Prowse or Che Adams. Armando Broja has been performing recently for Saints but needs consistency and he is young as well so lacks experience. Brentford started the league with solid performances and they have good defence and attack. I think it is an even one but I am gonna go with Brentford here.

If we look at the performances of both teams, they are almost equal.  So I expect a balanced match.  Southampton could use the home advantage.  Brentford, on the other hand, can win if they stop them with their defense and get good results from the offense.  There are only 2 points between the two teams.  This will be a game where the winning team will be very profitable.

we will see who will score first at the start of the match. both teams are good in defense and strong in midfield.
As usual, mid-table team matches are usually more exciting. Victory is often hard to predict. both teams have almost the same strength. as well as their chances of winning. I think it is very difficult to guess with a larger percentage.
but I'll try to place a bet on Brentford. maybe this match also there are not many goals.

EFL will not investigate the Liverpool outbreak after all. They are saying Liverpool had legitimate grounds for a delay at the time of the appeal and that the evidence that was presented was sufficient.

Klopp says that the rules say that false positive players cannot play as well. The tests however have expected accuracy of 99.97%, so something is still really weird here.

Southamphton matches so far, although quite good when played at home, this cannot be effective in predicting the final result of the next match.  Their current opponent is equally strong, I'm even more sure they will end up in a draw.  If you say Southampton will score 2 goals, this is too optimistic for a team that lost when they met in the previous season.  They just got beaten by a score of 2 - 0 earlier.  I prefer to bet on a tie rather than choosing one of them.

Even though Chelsea's performance was not good, I don't think City will win easily against Chelsea either. Indeed, City have the advantage as Chelsea have a more congested schedule. Because in this week they have to play in 3 games including the game against City on Saturday. But, I think Chelsea still able to make City difficult to win. Major odds on City Win the matches, it will be good for Chelsea side if they give a surprises.

I want City to win but not too fanatical. Because I'm sure chelsea can make a surprise. The last four meetings they share the same numbers, they both won twice. I remember very well when the UCL final I also won Man City but I was wrong Chelsea won. Since then these two teams have always won by Man City. So Chelsea's chances of winning are still wide open. Although seen the statistics indeed Man City this season performed better and stable.

I think southampton have good capital in the match later, they managed to draw  versus tottenham in the league and also won the previous victory in the FA cup, so is brendford even though they managed to win against aston villa and also in the FA cup, but in the last few weeks they actually experienced inconsistencies in the match, so I think in that match it looks like southampton have more chances to win, especially so far Southampton has a head to head advantage over Brentford, my prediction is that Southampton will win the match with a score of 2-1.

It looks balanced but Brentford in some games often make a surprise. Maybe the game will be interesting, they need points to win. Their points difference is only two, if Brentford lose he will drop down the rankings. Although for now brentford look to be starting to decline I don't think Southampton should underestimate them. Both teams are equally left out of some important players to the Africa Cup of Nations, maybe later they will be just as strong. Southampton lead will probably come at home.

This timetable is actually difficult to follow because am used to seeing these games on weekends and not week days. Anyway, coming back to the game, I think Southampton have built some confidence over the past couple of weeks and today will be a good time to put it to the test. But because i believe Brentford are a quality team, I dont expect this to be an easy going... My prediction 1-1 (or draw for any other scoreline)

There is not much time left for the Southampton - Brentford match. I think that none of these teams are the clear favourites. They are close teams actually if we take their place in the standings into account. And they both are out-of-form right now. I'm curious whether Southampton will make use of the stadium advantage. Because they are playing quite dominant for now. I think that Brentford would still be able to gather themselves up and fight back better against them. At the end, Southampton can still defeat them. They are not a bad team and their lineup is also quite good. The main problem is their system from my point of view.

Finally, the score can be balanced with a goal created by Vitaly. With that, there are still many possibilities that can happen, especially the first half showed that everything went quite effectively. Southampton still has a lot of possibilities to score more goals. The match will be quite fierce considering all the players showed good performance. If there is an unimportant cup for top clubs of the Premier League, it is definitely the EFL Cup. Because that one has a much lower quality than the FA Cup. Maybe FA Cup is not as prestigious as the Premier League of course but it is the second biggest tournament in England I believe. The top clubs are trying their best in their tight schedule. And there haven't been much surprise in the FA Cup when it comes to its winners. Generally, the top clubs have won it so far.

It is basically the alternative for the top clubs if they can't with the premier league. For example, if Chelsea or Liverpool wins FA cup, that would be "something" to celebrate this year with, definitely not a huge deal, definitely not an awful lot of success in there obviously, it is nothing like UCL or EPL and I get that BUT it is at least something even if small.

This is why some teams needs to put a lot of pressure on that, and focus on winning it. Right now this year, I say United should win it, not that they will win it, but they should. They have spent so much and fired the manager with the hopes of getting better and they couldn't find a much better manager so they need to get FA cup to calm down the fans otherwise it is going to be a horrible season to forget for them. Fans will not suddenly think they are awesome just because they got FA cup but at least it is promising.

Turned out that it wasnt an even game between these two. Saints scored 4 goals and I bet that no one really saw that coming, I expected Saints to win ( 1 goal for Saints ) but definitely not expecting such a one sided game. Well it wasnt really one sided though, Brentford totally had the possession but they cant score and Saints was taking advantage from that

Chelsea has everything to make a surprise, especially when Lukaku can be a starter in the upcoming match. However, Chelsea is in a very different situation with Man City lately, not the same as the previous UCL final. In the last 5 matches, they only won 1 time, which indicates that Chelsea performance is decreasing. On the other hand, Man City win all the last 5 matches that shows how strong they are. Don't forget that the upcoming match will be on Man City home, Man City players must have extra motivation to win. So, probably Man City will win for the upcoming match.

I'm hoping with the display from Brentford tonight, Liverpool will make the most of it while they're missing Salah, Keita, and Mane. They've looked to be losing their form as of recent, and we need to get them back for the reverse fixture where they stole some points from us. I'm thinking a 3-1 victory with Jota getting in on the goals.

The only real difference is; the FA cup allows drastically smaller teams to play against bigger teams, and therefore can pull off a giant killing. Although, this does get romanticised about a lot, its been a while since smaller teams have gone on to win it.

Wigan Athletic probably the smallest to win it in the last decade in the 2012/2013 season then probably Portsmouth before them. We do get smaller teams beating bigger teams, but they rarely end up going on to win it.

the match between southamptom versus brenford just finished, and finally sauthamtom was able to secure 3 points at their own home, and managed to win with a promising score, sauthamtom managed to beat brenford with a score of 4-1, this is how football matches are difficult to predict, sometimes the team that we excelled, because previously played consistently and well, but in the end lost. actually the EPL league is very difficult to predict.
