Chelsea have been the speculated team to sign Cristiano Ronaldo soon. However Tuchel doesn't seem to be willing about a move like this at the moment. I wonder what the reason behind this reluctancy is. Some rumours say that he wants a trio like Sterling, Havertz and Raphinha here. They did win their pre-season matches including the one against Liverpool but I dont think they are better now. The real league will be much different as what you say, and I dont think what they have done in pre-season is not enough to prove that they will be competitive with the other top EPL clubs such as City, Liverpool, Chelsea, and others. They might be good enough as mediocre team but they are not that good as top team in EPL.

I agree that pre-season and league season are far different, but from what I saw so far, I think Manchester United will be able to compete on the big 4 this season if they play consistently like how they play on the pre-season, but consistency is also their main problem. But I will say they shouldn't aim to win the EPL title, they should just try to get Champions League Ticket.

Manchester United have won all their preseason games this summer. Erik Ten Hag is actually doing a great job for the club and the new coach as he doesn't was to welcome defeats. Their game against Crystal palace was rather an easy win for United. Although united fans booed Harry Maguire when ever the ball was in his possession and it's humiliating and a very hard time for the defender. Let's hope before the season starts, Maguire's performance would be better and fans would have calm their nerves.

Pre-season cannot be used as a basis for judging a team's performance because the atmosphere and the pressure must be much different from the main league. The tight schedule and the potential for injury while playing in the Premier League will also determine the position in the table. So because the match hasn't even been held yet then it's obviously difficult to predict how Man United will perform this season. But with Ten Hag being Man United's coach along with the new players he signed, I think Man United will get a better result than last season.

I don't think I have to be too serious about pre-season, it will definitely be different from the actual season. Everton are a good team in the Premier League and I don't think they will suffer so much for the rest of the season. Some players are still needed to make this team more stable in defense and midfield.

Everton struggled last season to escape being relegated and so far this season, we are yet to see an improvement in the team. The two pre-season games shows that Everton will find it difficult to score goals yet they will keep conceding goals from each match that they play.
The team is yet to add a new player to their squad even after selling Recharlleson so I doubt if they will do better than last season with the same players in the team. Pre-season may not be taken seriously but a team can also be rated high based on their good performance in the pre-season games won.
