Everton absolutely got destroyed by an MLS side called Minnesota United. Everton were almost with their first team, except a few changes. Yet they lose 4-0 after losing 2-0 to Arsenal few days earlier. Seems like another tough season is ahead of Everton but its just pre-season. Cant take it too seriously since the players quite recently came back from their holidays.

Everton struggled last season to escape being relegated and so far this season, we are yet to see an improvement in the team. The two pre-season games shows that Everton will find it difficult to score goals yet they will keep conceding goals from each match that they play.
The team is yet to add a new player to their squad even after selling Recharlleson so I doubt if they will do better than last season with the same players in the team. Pre-season may not be taken seriously but a team can also be rated high based on their good performance in the pre-season games won.

Yes, avoiding relegation last season should be a valuable lesson for Everton to improve their squad. But the fact is that until now The Toffes still don't look active in the transfer window. Only James Tarkowski has signed for Everton on a free transfer so far this summer, while they have sold Richarlison to Tottenham and lost several others such as Jonjoe Kenny and Fabian Delph when their contracts expired. But the result of the match against Minnesota raises a question mark. This is just a friendly party. But more or less describes the strength of Everton ahead of the 22/23 season.

Manchester United have won all their preseason games this summer. Erik Ten Hag is actually doing a great job for the club and the new coach as he doesn't was to welcome defeats. Their game against Crystal palace was rather an easy win for United. Although united fans booed Harry Maguire when ever the ball was in his possession and it's humiliating and a very hard time for the defender. Let's hope before the season starts, Maguire's performance would be better and fans would have calm their nerves.

In pre-season matches, Manchester United can indeed be said to be better than their game last season, it looks like they have made a lot of changes. But I wouldn't be too quick to conclude that they're really ready now. Because the pressure in the Premier League with pre-season is very much different. But I won't deny that their game is better for the few games they've played.

About Maguire I think it is Erik ten Hag's responsibility because it was Erik ten Hag himself who asked Maguire to stay, if later the Manchester United defense went into chaos then I believe Maguire might be eliminated as a player who is more on the bench and or immediately sold. But if Maguire really can change for the better then of course, Manchester United's defense will be strong and that will be a big hope and also, giving the captain's armband to Maguire I think it's something that is not right.

We will see if Liverpool really made a mistake by selling Sadio Mane. It is still early to make such predictions about the situation. As I said before, it is depending on how the new trio will play and how Darwin Nunez especially will play in this season. Liverpool got really close to a championship in the league last season but lost their chance by inches. They need to put a bigger effort into it this time to be able to get ahead of Manchester City. They will need to decrease the amount of points lost in easier games to make a difference.

Just 2 or 3 games and fans are already tearing Nunez apart for his poor performance and lack of goals in the pre season matches. I think he should be given more time to adapt in the team, hopefully he will blend in and the team will play even better and be able to match the league champions and rivals Manchester City. I think by now they are done with transfers this summer and will now focus on building the team to play together.

Don't know why Maguire is always defended by his coaches even from the Ole era until now he continues to be played. Even though in terms of performance it is clear he always makes mistakes in every game he plays.

Ronaldo doesn't seem likely to be signed by a big team in the near future as it seems. Atletico Madrid had some interest in him but I don't see any attempt from them yet. If they also give up on this transfer I don't think any other big team will decide to go for him. If his salary wasn't too much then maybe we would see some teams being seriously interested. But Ronaldo's situation about this is similar to Neymar. PSG could still sell Neymar as long as he gets an offer but his salary is also too much.

And today everything looks different than before. Nunez impressed against Leipzig and he started scoring goals so many people will probably change their point of view of him. If previously he was judged badly, it was only because he had not adapted to the game and strategy in his new team, that's only natural. But now things are going well for him and Liverpool, but obviously it's pre-season.

Indeed, sometimes the price does not guarantee quality, but about Nunez he can become a new star in the Premier League. I'm curious about Haaland if he can impress at Manchester City during pre-season and when the season starts, and I'll be looking forward to his performances too.

Players from England are always hyped in terms of price and skills. Grealish price is way more than his actual performance, Kane too regardless how good he is but we cannot compare him to Mbappe or Haaland for example!.
Maguire case is worse and if he was playing in any other top team outside of EPL, he would be already in the benches waiting to be kicked. I think he will get last chance this season by ManU, he better improves seriously..

I am not watching all Manchester United pre season match except when first time match or debut for Tan Hag success defeated Liverpool 4-0. Manchester United have perfect pre season match and different with attacking or striker position looks different each match. But most pre season match so far always Manchester United success scored above 4 goal except last pre season match. Excited if can show with the best striker have by Manchester United prepare for Primer League because on pre season match all them have top performance.

Which however in such a situation will Erik Ten Hag judge the squad is strong enough and there is no need to sign another player in this summer window. while their rivals are still quite busy looking for other players in this season's transfer window.

Maybe @Pulsar77 found the salary situation the same between Ronaldo and Neymar. Otherwise the thing you have said is true of course. Neymar doesn't want to leave PSG now as he is earning incredible sum of money there. I wouldn't expect other teams to pay 40 million euros or so per year for him. Ronaldo shouldn't insist on leaving as long as he has problems on finding another big team for himself. He should continue to be professional and continue to do his best for Manchester United for another season.

Or maybe Nunez will be the new Idol   we know Liverpool is not a team that likes to spend money they must have thought about it I hope Nunez stays consistent in the real season so it deserves to be a competitor to Manchester City and Haaland. Nunez has already answered some of the criticism about him through these 4 goals and then he can play freely without a burden.

I am a Liverpudlian who really believes in the quality of Darwin Nunez, poor performances against Manchester United and Cristal palace cannot be used as a benchmark for the quality of a Nunez. Adaptation and physique that have not reached 100% make its performance not optimal.But after going through training with the team all this time, then tonight the match belongs to Darwin Nunez, Against RB Leipzig the quality began to show, Nunez only needed 45 minutes to score four goals.

Although judging them based on pre-season performance might be premature, I am definitely looking forward to the new beginning of Man United in 22-23. Manchester United's new center-back is Lisandro Martinez. If Varane is unfit and Maguire is forced to play the CB position because Bailly is unreliable and often unfit, United will be doomed again. In this season's defense, Man United's success primarily depends on Varane's fitness and Maguire's form. There is a great deal of competition, and the best starts are there. Everyone is competing, and that's what makes the difference.

They are "good" of course, but that is exactly what their problem is, they have the players for it but they never get those players at the same time. They can't let Maguire play, I mean we have seen how many times he made mistakes and it's beyond a joke now. Sure he could be a very hard working player, I can't say what they see from him during the practice and why they keep on picking him, but at the end of the day he was terrible for a whole year.

Between Martinez, Varane and Baily, they have 3 players that will cover 2 positions, if they lose 2 at the same time then Maguire will play, but that type of thing should be something that is very rarely, like let Maguire play maybe 5 games, thats it. Anything more than that is a risk.

Nottingham Forest have completed their signing of Jesse Lingard. To tell the truth it was really quick that I didn't even know about their aim to sign him. Lingard associated himself with Roma not much time ago but surprisingly Nottingham finished the deal quickly. I think that this is a favourable transfer for them. Signing a player like Lingard for free is great for a team that have promoted to the Premier League newly. We must be remembering his performance at West Ham and I hope to see it for Nottingham too.

Ten Hang appears extremely ready for the league as we can see he is trying his possible best to restructure the entire team for good. Its possible we might have some surprising performance from Manchester United and other teams that were consider weak in the league last season because almost all teams sign new players that are ready for the Premier League.
