Christian Eriksen still hasn't signed for Manchester United even though they have reached verbal agreement already. I still expect this deal to be completed smoothly though. However Brentford are still decisive about bringing him back to the team. But I don't give any chance for them to compete with Manchester United and steal Eriksen by interfering the deal. If Eriksen wanted to play for them he wouldn't leave the team in the first place.

So far, United haven't made any high-profile transfers, even De Jong's deal is still pending. Even if you are a big optimist and assume that everything is as you think, what options do United have now? It seems that by the start of the season, in the best of circumstances, they will start the season with about the same team as they were last season, not stronger (but actually weaker, at least in names).

Well, if we look at the "gossip" of the year, we could say they may get Ben Yedder, De Jong, Eriksen, Martinez, Antony. These are HUGE HUGE names if they could get them. Okay maybe Eriksen is not that big anymore, but the rest are quite huge. Antony alone is a big enough name because many believe he is the best player in Ajaz right now, Martinez is a young great player, and De Jong is a star level player.

These three alone would be amazing and very good for their future, Ben Yedder is a bit on the older side but still great. I am not saying they will get all of these, but they are chasing these names and they are good names to chase, I hope they get lucky.

Clement Lenglet has finally been signed by Tottenham on loan. By this centre-back transfer there are quite a lot alternatives for that position in the team now. But I know that they won't give all of them many chances in the end. Lenglet will need to work hard to win the competition with Romero, Sanchez and Dier to have a place in the lineup regularly. It can be a hard choice for Conte if they all perform satisfyingly. As of now I would only expect a midfielder addition from them maybe.

For now there is no one who can replace a decent position if Ronaldo does leave Manchester United, likely will be more weaker than last season. MU must consider about how to make their team better this season by make a transfers as expected by Ronaldo. If MU board and coach doesn't care about this, MU has the potential to return to a position that is not in line with player expectations. Maybe now Ronaldo is the one who is annoyed, but if Manchester United stay like this for 2 seasons in a row, I'm sure there are many other players who will follow Ronaldo's decision to leave.

So far, United haven't made any high-profile transfers, even De Jong's deal is still pending. Even if you are a big optimist and assume that everything is as you think, what options do United have now? I think get stuck with Frabkie de Jong transfer from Barcelona because the problem on his previous club, Bar elona have agree with transfer but he ask Manchester United keep pay bonus clause for de Jong until right now not pay yet. But Manchester United not agree if have to pay salary and bonuses for de Jong. But United I think have strong on midfielder area after arriving Cristian Eriksen, not really different quality betwèen de Jong and Eriksen I think, if not reach agreement Manchester United will stop with de Jong transfer.

Barcelona has agreed to sell this player but de Jong wants to stay in Barcelona. And Barcelona told him that if he wants to stay he will have to take a pay cut but he also does not want to take a pay cut. 

So, this is a weird situation, to be honest. 

The player is going to be  Better Off playing in a new team. But Barcelona is not going to be as strong as they are right now without de Jong. 

Manchester United also does not absolutely need this player right now because they can play other players in that position, like Christian Eriksen. I really believe that if the player really does not want to take a pay cut he should not be forced, but then other players will also not want to take any kind of pay cut as well.

Why do you say "unfortunately"?
Ending in the top 4 and always playing at UCL competition is a good thing. It indicates Tottenham consistently shows its best every season. Although they still can't be the winner of EPL and UCL, it doesn't mean they are a bad club. We know that it is very difficult to compete in UCL competition and in EPL there are too many strong teams also. Their previous squad didn't very convincing to compete for winning the title, but this season it has been improved. I assume they have a chance to win the title now.

It seems to me that De Jong decided to choose money over playtime. To be honest, he isn't going to get that match playing time at Barcelona. Going to a new club would give him some hope.

Maybe he is looking forward to staying to Barcelona until his contract expires whilst getting full pay as per his current contract.

Tottenham will do better next season because while other team are budgeting on one player, they are going in for several players. Conte is really a tactical coach that knows what he's capable of and how to solves the club problem. Spurs landing Clement Lenglet on loan is one big thing in the club. It's really one big competition for the team as several players will fight to start games. That means they almost have a new set of players in the team, meanwhile Conte is not holding back as he is still looking for potential Players which are available in the market.

What's the point of asking Manchester United to pay the salary arrears because it will only embarrass them
although they can add it to the market price, let's say the price is $50 million and salary arrears is $5 million
so Barcelona can put up a price of $5.5 million the goal is the same but the method is different
