Pre-season is one of the places to find the right formula for real competition. Under Ten Hag's direction, I saw that something had changed at Manchester United, players had more courage to hold the ball longer, their counter-attacks were quite effective, that's one of them. But I like the scheme that Ten Hag is using at the moment and I see Martial playing more at the moment and he is responding to the trust given to him by always giving goals in every game.

I have heard that Chelsea have made their offer for Sevilla centre-back Jules Kounde already. It is 47 million pounds according to news. Barcelona have also been targeting to sign him actually so I'm wondering whether they will also make an offer soon. I don't know whether they are in a solid condition to be able to fight against Chelsea for this deal. But they have seemed very comfortable about spending a big amount of money so far.

Chelsea already has 6 center-backs right now (Thiago Silva, Koulibaly, Chalobah, Ampadu, Malang Sarr, and Miazga). I think Chelsea doesn't need a new center-back right now. They only waste money if they force themselves to sign Kounde. Moreover, Sevilla won't sell Kounde at a cheap price because he is a key player there. It is a bad idea for Chelsea to spend big money on an unnecessary player. While for Barcelona, I think they have no more money to buy Kounde because they already spent a lot of money after signing Lewandowski and Raphinha. Barcelona also still has 6 center-backs, what for buying more a center-back? They are not in urgent for a new center-back. You need to know that preseason game is very different from friendlies because most of the players that are in the preseason are not yet fit,and after a long period of break,they won't be able to perform well in games like that,but when they play those same team in the premier league,you will see that preseason is preseason and the English premier is even more harder.So let's hope to see them still perform well like this when season starts.It might just be that the coach have just started to transform the team already.

Arsenal also had interest in the player but Spurs were able to get him to sign so it's good news for them. Hopefully,he will bring the kind of quality they have been seeking for in that position.

Every other team is trying to improve their squad but they are the only team among the top clubs that have more players in than out. Kudos to them but lets' not give too much credit to their ability to sign new players. I think the champions or any of the contenders could have competed against Spurs and signed them if they really pushed for it.

I think, Chelsea managements are well prepared to use any amount of money to sign in new young talented players that will have something good to offer to the team in next season. I know Antonio Conte will do a whole lot more strengthening before the window closes and he is known to want his top targets in before the start of the season. And now he has just added a very good one. It’s  a very good business for Tottenham. Adding another young talent to the wingback position. At least he will compete with Matt Doherty and Emerson Royal to be the right wing-back under Antonio Conte. Spence was one of the standout players in the Championship last season at Nottingham Forest and helped the club achieve promotion after 23 years in the lower divisions. I expect him to replicate that form in Tottenham.

You might be right. As a manager, Tuchel is able to improve a team rather than focusing on one player. Everyone at Chelsea plays for him. The performance of Koulibaly will be excellent. The Serie A matches are less intense and revolve more around tactics than the Premier League, so it is possible for Koulibaly to adapt quite quickly to the fast-paced nature of the Premier League. One thing I love about Chelsea is that they make their chase and get it. Any player that they are interested about, they go for him with a full chase and get it without much delays. This was seen in sterling and also in Koulibaly. If Chelsea is really interested in Kounde, it will not be a problem or a difficult situation for them to bring him down to Stamford bridge. Having Kounde and Koulibaly will be a strong line of defence for the blues.
