Say want ever but I think every team should take preseason seriously especially clubs that didn’t do well last season and definitely needs that sense of strength and believe in the team again. Preseason don’t only give a platform for new recruit in the club to get into the playing pattern of their new team, it also helps shake of the lags players has from taking vacations. Yet they lose 4-0 after losing 2-0 to Arsenal few days earlier. Seems like another tough season is ahead of Everton but its just pre-season. Cant take it too seriously since the players quite recently came back from their holidays.

I don't think I have to be too serious about pre-season, it will definitely be different from the actual season. Everton are a good team in the Premier League and I don't think they will suffer so much for the rest of the season. Some players are still needed to make this team more stable in defense and midfield.

Their form during this pre-season should be the reason why other players are needed, they have the money to do it, so that's good. Defensively, the midfield and strikers need to be stable and this requires them to spend more money to be able to compete in the mid-table this season.

2 friendly matches by entering 0 goals and conceding 6 goals, of course this is not a good thing for them, especially 4 goals scored by Minnesota who are always in the middle of the MLS board, obviously this is not too good.

And today everything looks different than before. Nunez impressed against Leipzig and he started scoring goals so many people will probably change their point of view of him.
