Chelsea had better make some signings in the upcoming transfer window. They need to do this for especially their attacking side. Because there has been a significant decrease in their scoring performance for many weeks. Maybe the mental problems are also a big factor in this result. But I still think that they need a striker as soon as possible. They were close to finishing the Nkunku deal maybe but this transfer will be completed by next summer in the end.

If they don't bring anyone before the second half of the season, I think things will continue to be tough for them in the remaining time. Potter is also having difficulties in choosing the right game plan for the team. Tuchel's presence now would have been better for the team but there is nothing to do about it from now on.

I think the same as you, but what do I expect from Chelsea until now there haven't even been any transfer rumours. I haven't heard anything about a transfer they will make in the next transfer window. BTW, talking about EPL, which team do you think will be the champion at the end of the season? ATM we have Arsenal in first, Manchester City in second and Newcastle in third place.

Arsenal have impressed and surprised everyone so far. I assume not so many people were expecting this much consistency from them before the season started. Arteta has made this team have a really solid team performance finally. Even in times they didn't have Gabriel Jesus scoring, they were still able to win matches by not having big issues with goals.

This impressive effort makes me wonder if they can make it to the title as well. Manchester City are still a huge threat despite the current gap. Manchester City had much worse times in a season in the past but made an incredible comeback. This isn't that much difficult for them. If Arsenal don't stay awake all the time then Manchester City wouldn't forgive those mistakes for sure.

2019/2020, Manchester United closed the season in 3rd place.
2020/2021 has increased, namely the runner up position.
The 2021/2022 season which has slipped to 6th place.

Last season it was in 6th position with actually very good conditions for the start of the season, obviously a setback, I think because this is like returning to the 2018/2019 season, where the position is also the same there.
On the other hand the current conditions seem a bit better for Manchester United even though they still need some improvement but now they want to improve their condition and it is still very good. Now that their troubles regarding Ronaldo and Ten Hag are officially over and their current focus is likely to be more directed.

When the premier resume it's likely that the dynamic of some clubs will change their game probably due to the temporary pause of the league, some clubs that had started improving prior to the World Cup might start to struggle or find it difficult to continue with their fine form likewise those who are not doing well might up their game, club such as Arsenal will have to seek for an alternative to the injured Gabriel Jesus sidelined for three months, he had been crucial to their brilliant performance this season, Man Utd needed to move on after the departure of Ronaldo which I believe won't affect the club likewise other clubs.

Some teams may be weak due to injury  some players may experience doing this world cup. But I still believe many clubs will maintain their performance because many players are back to their various clubs attending trainings.I can see that many clubs are playing friendly match to gain players fitness.

I believe their will be improvement in premier league when the league resume back due to every club will like to fight for that top four especially Chelsea and Liverpool for their weak performance recently, and for those clubs who are there before will like to maintain their position on the table.so I am expecting much will they resume the league.

The problem is the condition of 5 points today means nothing with the rest of the game still leaving many games unplayed now especially Arsenal are clearly faced with the problem of Gabriel's absence now.
Obviously this is not profitable regardless of the number of gaps at this time they are still very threatened and don't forget that they have never met Manchester City this season either.

Isn't this the same Graham Potter that everyone was praising in the first five games of his takeover at Chelsea that saw Chelsea went on an unbeaten run that saw them progress out of the group stage of the champions league that many thought they won't make it out and will be playing in the Europa league by now. Many fans are just blaming potter without realizing he has been without some players due to injury but thankfully they'll all be fit after the world cup. There's no doubt that the form at Chelsea has been poor but all that will change after the world cup.

Graham Potter has some God strategy as he can easily adjust form  a 3-5-3 formation to any other one and adopt to the game. We have seen that countless of times and this goes to show how technically sound the manager is. What he needs now is just time and his players fully fit. We saw the likes of Reece James training which goes to say, he's now fit and will be ready for the remainder of the season. Chelsea will cause a shocker this season and it'll be positive, either we'll be among the top 4 or even win the title.

I agree that he still deserves to be given more time to see what he will do. It hasn't been much time since he started his job here in the end. It was just an assessment of the situation from his starting date to this point. Chelsea just took a risk by changing their manager and they need to wait for seeing its consequences positive or negative until the end of the season. When Potter realizes what is wrong with the team things will hopefully get better. They still need some improvement in offense by transfers of course but it doesn't seem like it will happen as of January.

Injured players would be back by the next games hopefully. Reece James is an important player for the team now. His absence has been felt so far. Chelsea still can climb to top 4 mathematically. But they need to work very hard for it.

Yes I understand that's why I said they need to maintain consistency, and also as far as I know Arsenal are not depending on one player
So Gabriel's absence is not a big problem for the team even though we know he is one of the assist givers for the team

We have to see the achievements made by Erik Ten Hag at the start of this season, he has shown a good improvement in Manchester United performance at the start of his coaching season, I believe Erik Ten Hag will be able to make Manchester United finish in the top 4 this season. manchester united has just built their squad to be stronger in the coming seasons. we just need to give erik ten hag a bigger chance in bringing manchester united into title contenders in the season to come. I don't think Ronaldo departure will have a bad impact on Manchester United performance in the second half of this season.

Arsenal start the next round with a match against city rivals West Ham United. Nice that those games are all played on Boxing Day. Not strange in itself, because in England they play football every year with this day. But it is special to open the 2nd part of the season on this day. Leicester City seem to be in a good period with results, so Newcastle United are wary of this team. At the bottom there is not really a very clear candidate to relegate, in principle all teams at the bottom can still be relegated, the differences are minimal. Liverpool have a really challenging task ahead of them to perform. They have got pretty much away from the teams ahead of them in the standings due to a bad form. Their problem wasn't limited to only big matches. They lost many points against much smaller teams than themselves. I still can't forget the Nottingham and Leeds losses. Although Liverpool have one of the most impressive attacking players in the league they have had problems on winning many simple matches. Klopp hasn't still found out a solution for this but I believe he will.

They had better start from improving their defending. Because they have conceded many more goals than the normal level. The weaknesses in defense caused them to lose points in some matches that they were close to winning as well.

I highly doubt Ronaldo’s exit from Manchester United would have any negative impact on the general performance of the team. In my opinion, Manchester United is presently undergoing a transition. A transition into the good old glory days. And they could and are getting there well without the help of Ronaldo. Manchester United’s coach, Erik Ten Hag, is beginning to understand the dynamics of the team and utilizing what he knows to make the squad better and stronger. Manchester United has got the potential as well as the players to finish top 4 in the premier league and Erik might just make that happen.

Potter is brought in as the new coach and I think they are planning to try to give him the money that he asks for to manage the team. So, my question is why did they not give that money to Tuchel?

Wouldn’t it have been better to let the players play under the same management and try to improve the squad instead of making the players get used to a whole another tactic by a whole new coach?

I believe Garry Potter was brought into the club as Tuchel's successor to change the situation of the team at the moment. Chelsea were a struggling team at the time Tuchel departed. I still think it would have been better to retain Tuchel because the situation at the club now is still same as it was when Tuchel left although at first it seemed like things were different but I can't say so now.

almost in every season the Premier League is always fierce, this season too, now it's too early to say there is no possibility of change because the season is still very long and there are still many matches and all possibilities are still possible to happen.
now there are several teams that have the potential to finish in the top 4, especially with the addition of the Newcastle team who made many surprises at the start of the season.
Likewise with the struggle for the title, now Arsenal and Manchester United are indeed competing, but there is still a possibility for other teams to be able to enter in this fierce competition.

Premier league is fierce? Every season? Maybe for some positions but for the past 5 years or so I have just seen City beating everyone, and Liverpool being near them with like 1-2 points and won once, rest was City and that's about it. The winner is usually already decided and this year it will be like that too probably. Which is why I do not give Arsenal that much chance to win the title, it will probably be City that will win all over again.

This is just my guess but that is almost always the truth for sure. It's becoming a bit of a boring league, but that's what happens when one team gets money and others don't have as much, look at PSG and ligue 1 for example.

I know many clubs will lost key players to injuries at this world cup that will affect their momentum when they return,now arsenal has lost Gabriel jesus for a long period and the Brazilian is paramount to what they are doing right now,his goals and experience at the front line is reason they are in the 1st position, I expect Manchester United to improve when they resume because most of their troubles this season has been the distraction with Ronaldo sagas.

I was not happy playing in the world cup in the middle of the season because it has led to numerous injuries for some players. Gabriel Jesus, one of Arsenal's key players who has been instrumental in the majority of the goals the team has scored in the competition, will now miss some  of the Premier League games. Although the injury was unexpected, the Gunners are forced to manage Nketia for the foreseeable future before pursuing another striker in the transfer window.

a good conclusion is to say graham performance in the remaining games in the second half of the season. We have to see how he builds the Chelsea squad in the winter window, which players will he bring in to strengthen the squad in the second half of the season. tood boehly really believed graham potter would be able to bring chelsea to become a strong team in epl but many doubted graham performance after he couldn't bring chelsea to the top 4 before the league was paused because of the world cup.

graham potter could end up like tuchel if he can't bring about big changes in the second half of the season. I think a large budget will be provided for Graham in looking at players in the transfer market and some star players are much associated with Chelsea such as AC Milan star Leao.

It would be fair to say that Brentford have caused quite a few upsets so far this season, including an upset against Manchester City at home if I am not mistaken. But Tottenham are also playing really well so far as they are fourth in the table compared to Brentford being placed tenth.

I am pretty sure that the Harry Kane and Son duo will be ready for the match against Brentford as they have been playing exceptionally well under Antonio Conte.

But I have to give credit to Brentford as they have been playing at an outstanding level as a team and their team chemistry is spot on. Overall I am looking for a really high-voltage match on the Boxing day.

Heh heh I love how that sounds as it reminds me of the game against Manchester City in the last week game before the break that gifted Arsenal extra 3 points lead ahead of Manchester City in the league. Brentford against Spurs, well I will be expecting to see something similar to the game against Manchester City, expecting a brilliant performance from Brentford also.

There are already some rumours circulating such as Arsenal are planning to sign a striker in January. After Jesus has got injured news sources started to write this kind of things quickly. I know that Arteta will have a nice amount of transfer budget to spend in January. But I don't think it would be enough for signing a big striker. Because people were talking about a budget like 50 million pounds.

I don't trust Nketiah much honestly. He seems like a skilled player but his finishing is not good at all. Arsenal can find a better alternative to him in January if they want.

Arsenal have already thought about this because it is impossible for Arsenal to leave the striker position vacant. Reportedly Mikel Arteta is targeting Ferran Torres to return to Arsenal but this all depends on when the transfer market opens, because there will definitely be more good candidates to replace Gabriel Jesus.
