Some people say that number is not important in football. But I don't think the same honestly. Because there are some really special numbers who are known with legends. 7 is really one of these numbers. Mount will carry a really big number on the back of his shirt and hopefully he can show a solid performance with it at Manchester United as well.

Why is it so much a problem about the jersey number that Mason Mount will use, for me it's just a choice because that number hasn't been used by Manchester United players for quite a while for several seasons, Garnacho was rumored to be using the jersey number but changed and finally Mason Mount, yeah maybe fans will associate with some Manchester United players who apparently failed there because they used that number but for me that's just a myth, if Mason Mount fails at United it's because he couldn't adapt properly at his new club not because of the jersey number.

Another forget player wearing jersey number seven is Angel Di Maria, fans huge expectation with Di Maria but he not on the top perform and stay one season only with Manchester United. I saw so many people were saying he was not capable enough to wear number 7 but people are rushing to judge him without even saw how he will be playing for manchester united next season. I can understand if people would judge him after pre match.
The problem is they are too early judging mount is not worthy enough to wear that number. I knew if that's a special number for all of manchester united fans but let him to prove if he was worthy enough to wear it.

Onana to United will be done for sure, it is not being done right now on technicality and small numbers, if United really wants him they will keep upping the bid until it is accepted, they just do not want to overpay for him. I mean what is the point in offering 80 million for a player that you can get for 50 million? So why not start with 30-35, and then work your way higher, maybe you can get him cheaper than 50 million.

These are all tough situations and I agree that it is not going to be easy but I bet that everyone would feel easier to just see it done, United fans can't wait for this to be done, they want to see the squad already, and yes we are barely in July but it is getting closer and potentially losing out on Onana feels terrifying of course now that De Gea is gone.

It is thought that Inter Milan want £50m for Onana, significant short of Manchester United intended offer but there is a feeling a compromise can be struck. But in terms of Liverpool I don't agree. You said it was very poor management, but I think it was a lack of experience in regards to competing on the highest level in the final phase of the season. It is a while ago that they have been close to winning the EPL five weeks before the season ends.
