Everything and everyone starts from scratch this season. Some things could be an advantage for Chelsea. Not playing any European competition means they can focus 100% of their resources on the Premier League and the FA Cup and maybe the League Cup. I know they would have preferred their situation to be differently, but they have to make the best out of it and having less games could be used as an advantage. Since the transfer period is going on for so much longer, I wouldn't dare giving a prediction of how they will be doing in the coming season. There could still be several transfers.

Yeah there is a slight advantage with much less things to focus but this season is very much important for the Blues. Chelsea are very strong club and whatever things went down there over these 2-3 years wasn't good for the club but they have to turn around things now. It's a new season, clean slate and they have to make a strong structure -not only in terms of squad but also a good management and board decisions, and also minding the regulations.

Can they make into CL? Yes - but it's tough, very tough. We all know how United improved within a year and I think Chelsea can too also, but they are in much more worse situation as compared to what United were in a year ago. Pochettino has a lot of work to do and he knows it [1] .

Before the last season they qualified for the top four and the Champions League four years in a row and that is where that club usually belongs given the resources they had and also the team they had already during that time. From today's perspective it looks more like the change in ownership to Boehly caused more harm than good. This is an issue when somebody who isn't into the sport as much believes that he can dominate the soccer world when only half a billion dollars is invested. So far it was a massive waste of resources for the investors, but it's good to see that money in some cases isn't everything.

Pochettino had his first conference in Chelsea and he promised to have the best results he can get however they asked him about Guardiola and he said Guardiola had enough tools for it, so if they give him what he need he can achieve something for Chelsea.
The thing about the conference was bout Lukaku, he said this player should return soon and come to his office and say hello, if he is still under contract with Chelsea.

Yes that is the reality and it seems, Pochettino is more considering for Lukaku's attitude which of course must remain professional. Because after all, Lukaku is still under contract at Chelsea and it is clear that Lukaku must be able to return to the team. Cases like this are quite common for players who are no longer comfortable in the team, so they behave unprofessionally by not returning to the team on time. About Chelsea's own squad so far, i think it still has a good chance for next season and it is certainly interesting to look forward to, whether Pochettino will get good results smoothly or not.

More like a result, not luck. Lukaku has been looking careless of late. I can't call him a bad footballer and he really is a true professional. However, sometimes on the pitch he doesn't understand anything, like a child, gets caught in shots at goal and so on. I think we need to work on that and not just put him on the bench for that

IMO actually seeing from the current condition he really deserves to be in a big club. but indeed when it does not fit into the scheme of what Pochettino will do next season he also cannot talk more about this, but it does not mean he is a bad player it's just that there must be a coach and club that is really right to make his potential even better.
At Atletico a few seasons earlier he was a mainstay and for Chelsea also actually contributed quite well even though Chelsea did not get anything but indeed for now he has not entered Pochettino's plans in Chelsea's future and it is likely that his fate will be the same as before at Atletico.

It's very natural for him to say something like this, but when he says that he can when he has enough tools, for now Pochettino actually has more authority in my opinion because seeing from his actions when he came, he has been given high authority to overhaul the team he will project for next season.

Chelsea might be happy to let him go to an Arab club. But Chelsea still respect Lukaku's decision to reject the offer. So I think the Chelsea side have been really wise in this regard. they don't force their players to leave just for the sake of big profits. And actually it's not just Inter Milan who are currently trying to get Lukaku's services. But the AC Milan Club is also in the hunt for Lukaku at the moment. Lukaku got a chance in Inter Milan years ago when he was treated badly in Manchester United. At Inter Milan, he played two seasons for them from 2019 to 2021 and he won Scudetto with them. He scored 47 goals after 72 matches for Inter Milan in those two seasons in Serie A.

He returned to Inter Milan in the last season with a loan from Chelsea, played 25 matches for them and scored 10 goals with some goals from penalties. If he is not Lukaku, that stats looks good enough but in fact he wasted some opportunities which throwing away chances for Inter Milan to equalize in the Champions League final match.

Perhaps he still loves Inter Milan and the club still supports Lukaku but they both must have agreement with Chelsea to get another loan or Inter Milan must buy Lukaku, which I doubt they will do.

I think it was Lukaku's decision to not join them as I heard the news. Chelsea are getting huge loss selling these players below their valuations but its part of restructuring the squad from scratch. Lukaku for 40m will still keep lot of clubs interested as it is not a final price and clubs can negotiate it at less also. I've heard about Juventus getting interested in him as well-not sure if it's true but Italian clubs seems to be interested in Lukaku at the moment.

Chelsea need a striker so possibly unless they find someone they are looking for, they might plan of using Lukaku in matches.
