Anytime Crystal Palace has a match against Crystal Palace at home, they struggle to win even if they lead with a goal, Palace is always good at rebounding at their neck and making sure City concede a goal. I stopped watching the match when Manchester City led with 2 goals to nill against Palace only to see that the table was the same. I am beginning to see the Haaland effect and most importantly KDB absence because I'm sure that if those two were to have started that match, they would have done a lot of fatality to Crystal Palace but it is weird to me how Palace came back with 2 goals against the city under 38 minutes left for the game.

Guardiola might have his reason better than what most people are assuming but technically, this doesn't make sense why he didn't used him but maybe he think they are at home and they will dominate and it does almost happen but in the end, it turn the other way. There is Champions League break for now, it's better he make full use and potential of those players now that the league is not yet half, if they reach middle it will become more competitive and tough and to catch up will be hard by then.

Basically, Manchester City appeared very dominant in the match against Crystal Palace, but they were very unlucky in securing their lead. A mistake late in the second half destroyed Manchester City's hopes of victory, especially as Crystal Palace were awarded a penalty. Manchester City continued to perform well in many matches even without De Bruyne, but failed to maintain their lead due to defense.

Pep Guardiola must be able to solve this problem of inconsistency quickly if he still wants to maintain his title dominance for four consecutive seasons, but honestly I don't expect Manchester City to continue doing this every season. Man Utd proving to be a hard nut to crack. I expected it btw because more often than not Big teams will often lose to smaller teams but deliver world class performance against teams in the top 4. This is becoming a norm especially this season with Chelsea deliver big performances against City, Liverpool and Arsenal but lost at home to Brentford some weeks back.
Anyway, second half is underway. I have my fingers crossed for this half and hope Liverpool finds the net on more than one occasion + 3 points.

We don't usually see such poor defensive gameplay in the Premier League. And so I was very disappointed with Manchester United's performance in today's match. The players of Manchester United did not make any attempt to score. Manchester United is not a weak team. Despite having a strong squad, Manchester United's performance has been poor. But I would have been happy if Liverpool had won. Because in today's match, we are only dominated by Liverpool. I saw 69% possession of the ball by Liverpool players. I expected myself a humiliating defeat for Manchester United and Ten Hag to be sacked few hours later but it appears that things went of favour of Ten Hag since this result of 0 - 0 is good for the club. At the opposite, Klopp and Liverpool should not be happy with that since Arsenal jumped in front of them in the standings after their 2 goals victory against Brighton. Aston Villa also have the same number of points as Liverpool.
The situation is very complicated in the top of the standings and Liverpool should win next round vs gunners to claim back the first spot especially that they are playing in Anfield. Aston Villa meanwhile will be second by the end of the next round.

I think this week will end really badly for Manchester City. Because I believe Liverpool, Arsenal and Aston Villa all are in a situation to be able to win their games this week. Liverpool can win against Manchester United home easily while Manchester United are bad at defending. Arsenal should be able to beat Brighton home as well.

Aston Villa are playing an away game against Brentford but Brentford are really bad this season. They were able to win only once on their last 5 game weeks in the league. I don't think they can hold off Aston Villa from winning another game.

It was nearly exactly what I expected from these teams but Liverpool failed among them. I was never expecting such poor performance from Liverpool about finishing.

They literally dominated the whole game. Their xG was 2.66 just can you imagine that?    They should have been able to score a couple of goals and get a comfortable win. It seems like Manchester United were really on their lucky day. Normally their defending isn't reliable at all. But somehow they managed to resist Liverpool from the beginning to the end.

I was really shocked by the results of Man City's match against Crystal Palace. I think Man City will really win again this time considering how they are in the standings. But apparently they failed. yes I say failed because they really missed the moment to win. Even though they still got 1 point, it really shouldn't have been. Because judging from the statistics, Man City is superior on various fronts. However, they did experience a quite drastic decline in their attack line. Many times they tried to attack the Crystal Palace defense, but they failed. The lack of accuracy and effectiveness of Manchester City's attacking players is clearly visible here. It's a shame. Hopefully in the future Man City can really turn around and can always win. because after all, their position is quite threatened

I don't think Haaland's absence should seriously affect them, overall they are doing fine without him. They have had a balanced squad in recent seasons, where nothing changes in the game when the main player is out. That is, he was replaced by a player who seemed weaker, but he performed well. I was thinking about the game between Manchester United vs Liverpool, I can't see anything exciting in that game and I was expecting a massive demolition on Man UTD but it was as if the Liverpool side wasn't up to the task to get the job done.
With the way Liverpool played today I don't see them as title contenders but a team that's just playing to make the top 4.
I would give a thumbs up to Manchester United because despite the injuries and shortage of players they still got a point in that fixture, and I just wish this would give them a morela booster to get all 3 point in their next game.

Virgil Van Dirk wouldn't have said crap if Garnacho and Rasmus Hojlund converted the chances they had today. Yes Liverpool was better and you could see them intensity but Manchester United defense did a good job to hold them down. One thing I noticed was that the both wings didn't work like they normally do. It was only Mo Salah working hard to cut in ad make dangerous runs for Liverpool. The name Luiz Diaz was nowhere to be found in this game.

Seriously, I was expecting Liverpool to confidently win Manchester United in the match, but I am just surprised with the outcome of the match. Manchester United was able to hold Liverpool down, they didn't give them the opportunity to score in the match, and even as Liverpool dominated the match, they couldn't score. Today's draw came as a surprise to me, no one expected it. With Manchester United's poor performance this season, everyone was expecting a win from Liverpool. Ten Hag will be kind of happy with the draw that he had today; at least he will be able to breathe right now, and he will be given more time to work on the team's performance.

At the opposite, Klopp and Liverpool should not be happy with that since Arsenal jumped in front of them in the standings after their 2 goals victory against Brighton. Aston Villa also have the same number of points as Liverpool.

It's really a bad result for Kloop. I was thinking Liverpool would be able to maintain the first position for another week, but they couldn't. Arsenal and Aston villa have been quite consistent this week because they are the top 4 teams who won 3 points this week. Meanwhile, Liverpool and Manchester city only secured 1 point because they ended the match with a draw. So it's true as you say because this season is a pretty good season for Arsenal to become champions because Manchester city is not at their best this season. Manchester city, who played yesterday match at home, was able to lead by 2 goal but they were unable to secure that lead until the end of the match. Meanwhile, Liverpool only played a draw without scoring any goals.

If you look at the current standings table, of course Arsenal is 5 points ahead of Manchester city which is in 4th place, whereas with Aston villa and Liverpool, Arsenal is only 1 point ahead. So next week of course they can swap places again and I hope Aston villa can take the top of the standing next week.
