It was a surprised to many people seen Chelsea in top six in the premier league table to top Manchester united and other teams, because their coach discovered some faults that is affecting the team but the moment he found solution to it, Chelsea started getting it right at the end of the tournament. Chelsea ended up the season in top six which is a good performance for Chelsea, if you know where they are coming from in this season, and if their coach can still improve the players maybe they will come close to top fourth next season.

I talked about this before: that Chelsea may probably end the season in the top six or even the top five, but people were arguing about it, and I said this because of how their performance is going. Chelsea's performance is really increasing, and seriously, nobody thinks Chelsea will turn up like when the season was about to end, and this got many people talking about them, although I wasn’t surprised to see them in this position because I was expecting it due to how they were playing.

 However, since they get to the top six this season, we should be expecting more performance from them next season because they won’t want to go back. They will do everything possible to go to the to the top of the table next season and nothing less than the top six. I believe since the coach already knows the problems of the squad, everything will be possible.

I'm in support of your statement too, Mauricio Pochettino might not had given them a trophy this season or got them to the top 4 spot but come to think of it, it was his first season in charge of the club and he encountered some challenges of which injuries was one of the major setback from the beginning of the season, if you noticed Manchester united still suffered same injury crisis and it really affected their gameplay but then they won the FA to justify their poor record. Well Pochettino might not had won any trophy but his gameplay changed when most of his players returned from a long injury spell and both manager and payers were beginning to have a mutual understanding on and off the pitch which made them to play wonderful football nobody expected and secured a spot in an European Competition, that's something the board should've considered, I think it's worth a second chance. I'm not going to say Chelsea would regret sacking him cause their new coach might suprise everyone but Pochettino deserved a second chance. How long would they go on trying different coaches? there is no need to doubt whether Enzo Maresca can make changes in the next season to bring Chelsea back to its glory days because of the management's confidence and also the fans see the history of Enzo Maresca who has experience when he was an assistant coach at Man City.

Maybe Chelsea management wants to get very good results in the near future or in the near term, which is essentially Chelsea management wants instant results with Chelsea management firing Pochettino.
