An Unobtanium brain wallet with the pass phrase "nebula" stayed untouched for 3 days until I used it in a giveaway challenge on my twitch stream. Another wallet with the pass phrase "photograph tropical" survived for 14 days until just now when I moved the funds. It seems nobody is scanning for UNO brain wallets at this point. This is only a test though, I will leave many test wallets scattered about with phrases of varying difficulty. Any brain wallets that I may use for actual storage would be highly complex, test amounts are only 0.0099 UNO.

IT IS a wow-whoah day isn't it? Triggers were hit and hit, then hit again until no more were set heh. I was helping eat the Un wall and then the value of BTC took a bit of a swan. However I remain extremely confident in both and consider now a great time to setup more buys. I am setting up a rather large mining rig and humming along for the ride. I'll be pulling an all day-nighter to get things reorganized as this one requires a large amount of wattage for my small home farm. On the subject of power, fuses, and breakers... Bitfinex sure needs to install some breakers soon: http://www.coindesk.com/bitcoin-price-falls-14-following-bitfinex-flash-crash/

Transaction fees go to the pools and the pools decide to pay them to the miners. Anything else, including off-chain solutions are stealing and not the way Bitcoin was intended to function. Make the block size set by the pool. Pool = miners and they get the choice.

"However I remain extremely confident in both and consider now a great time to setup more buys."
Yup, and I am grinding my molars 'cause I just don't have much Bitcoin at present.
@ Nat: Poloniex, no. I understand that we have a sorta consensus on our 'suite' of exchanges -- it's not long since we added Cryptopia.
Any thoughts, anyone, on the Core/XT thang? Could be huge for alts. And the global economy is worsening by the day.
Great great time -- 'Project Point Oh One' -- to rev up some initiatives, get some fresh-blood Uno buyers.

Lots of people attribute the Bitcoin dive to margin trading but can we honestly ignore the BTC Fork debate and its sudden ferocity at this price point?

Yes there has been a little. Nothing so far but keep bugging them! Polo would be nice. More exchanges, always better. Don't forget bleutrade and cryptopia to show some love sometimes so it's not so empty on those books

Woo hoo! Just paid an electricity bill here in Australia through a set-up called 'Living Room of Satoshi': wham! You pay them Bitcoin; it comes out as fiat at the 'leccy company.
So, one: it means any Australian can hold large quantities of fiat 'as' Bitcoin; use it as buy-support on exchanges in the interim; and then slap it through into paying bills.
And two: I emailed them, to ask if they'd accept Uno directly.

I'm somewhat certain that the 400 coin sell at 0.006 on bittrex was artificial. I was watching the order book very closely waiting for a deposit to buy the new large asks at 0.00725 and didn't see the buy order there, suddenly it was in the market history. Seems like someone selling to themselves, unless someone knows otherwise.
Either way, UNO flash sale! If you're a man of fibonacci retracement levels this may be near the bottom.

Thanks rojan, that chart is gorgeous Lots of action in the UNO markets, we're 35th in volume of all coins & 11th in volume on bittrex. A huge spread has opened up on both bittrex and cryptsy. Edit: This is insane! Are you guys watching this? Someone is trying to keep enough pressure on this to fill buy orders around 0.005 but they are meeting continuous resistance.

How does BTC XT rebellion effect altcoins generally and Unobtanium specifically? I'm not sure if it effects merge mining with $UNO or not?
I think the following: If Bitcoin goes down it takes LTC with it and most alts also - until a certain point. Once it becomes obvious to all market participants that bitcoin drops due to the hardfork LTC could well rise very high and take alts with it. So i would expect for alts to drop to a degree with bitcoin (we are already seeing it) but to go opposite direction after a certain point (sub 200$ btc). As for mining uno: The BTC network will have significant hashrate even on 5$ btc price so that's not a big concern for Uno imo. Maybe people even start buying uno instead of btc later which could make it go high enough to be worthwhile mining on its own again - maybe. Otherwise if Btc fails a new coin will emerge and Uno could merge with that then. If the new coin isn't sha256 and btc would fail that would make uno the biggest sha network anyways and where would all the old hashhardware go if not to uno? I personally don't fear for Uno in this situation. Uno is all well. Bitcoin is the one in trouble but still won't die off over night and if it does Uno won't be a looser in that after the dust settles. For now i am scared out of BTC but not out of alts
