The WBO has ordered Anthony Joshua to fight Oleksandr Usyk after he was unable to fight Tyson Fury. As you may know Fury has been ordered by a Judge in the Court of Arbitration to fight Wilder for their trilogy but the WBO gave Joshua 48 hours to find a solution and fight Fury otherwise they would force Joshua to fight the No1 contender - which is Usyk. The deadline expired therefore Joshua will have to fight Usyk now.

If for some reason Joshua decides to avoid the fight with Usyk then he will be stripped of the WBO title and it will be given to the winner of Usyk and his opponent. I think Joshua will not forfeit any of the 4 titles he currently holds so the fight will go ahead.

The WBO has given Joshua and Usyk until 31st May 2021 to agree terms for the fight. The only way a Fury vs Joshua fight can happen now is if Joshua defeats Usyk and if Fury defeats Wilder. How many of us saw this scenario coming?

Joshua is a great fighter ... but I'm afraid Usyk will ruin his career. in 2015 I watched Usyk's title defense live, and then he was no less a dangerous fighter than he is now. The only option in which Joshua can win is based on training the spirit .. no matter how strange it sounds, but probably his best solution would be to train and meditate in some kind of Tibetan monastery.

Since the extension request of the team Joshua has been denied, this short amount of time would be difficult for them to truly decide with all that's happening. This was made possible by the team of Usyk enforcing the fight, right? Whether or not they will accept the terms, I guess they have no choice but to fight and accept terms unless they want to give the title without any effort, lol.

I don't think Fury-Joshua will happen anytime soon.

This is really unexpected all we know is Fury and Joshua will meet in the ring, there have been so many talks until the judge favors Wilder, so there's a delay and there's also a possibility that they will not meet, in case anyone of them losses the fight, in this particular fight I favor Joshua to win the match, USYK is a good fighter but on skill and power Joshua has the edge.
I hope Joshua and Fury beat their respective opponents, the world wants a Fury - Joshua more than any other.

I am seeing this coming. Joshua vs Usyk is definitely a match made for Joshua. I am not totally discounting Usyk but it seems he doesn't have the power to stop Joshua. He couldn't even manage to KO Chisora.

As to the Fury vs Wilder III, Wilder is not anymore the fighter that he once was after being defeated inside and outside the ring. That will easily be a Fury match.

The next fight of Joshua and Fury is against each other.

The stats has what I need to believe that Joshua is going to win this bout, the reach and the experience is going to be all in favor of Joshua. Usyk looks at a prejudiced stance, a cocky fighter and we know what happens to cocky fighters.

I never saw this thing coming since I don't really know about the rules, I only watch how they entertained and give good fights in the ring which will make every audience watch them again. Nevertheless, this is some good news if they know Joshua since he hasn't stepped in the ring for too long and he needs to fight USYK since he worked hard for that title. I have a feeling that this fight will gonna happen because is not a bad match anyway, both fighters have already proven how deadly they are inside the ring.

I didn't see this coming, I thought that Fury vs Joshua is sealed already before they announced it to the public. And then the arbitration ruling favouring Wilder for a trilogy with Fury.

As for this fight I voted for Joshua, I think the 3 is just above the rest of the heavyweight right now. So I would say that Joshua should win this fight. But he shouldn't underestimate Usyk, he doesn't want another derail of the biggest fight him and Fury for the undisputed.

I'm a fan of the southpaw in this fight. It's a shame that the boxing commission stepped in a forced the rematch for Fury, but if Joshua beats the southpaw he will get the big fight.

It seems that we know two different Usyk.

Last fight (first fight in heavyweight. he was cruiser all the time) Usyk dominated all the rounds. Dont know much about the power, because any good punch can knock out anyone, but he was twice faster than his opponent.

Dont have enough experience? What about 335−15 in amateur career and 18-0 in pros ? He has more fight than AJ in general, but only 5 fights less in pros. They are both Olympic champs. So I would not say that he or they are inexperienced.

If AJ gains a lot for that fight and be slow, Usyk would destroy him with his 6-8 punch series. If not, then it will be a tough fight for both and I predict it to end with decision. But I would point that Usyk yet don't have enough power for heavyweight or superheavy division.

I was expecting Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury and now we are forced to see another fight against Oleksandr Usyk who is another high profile fight but they will not get the same hype as Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury and since i want to see that fight happen i hope Anthony Joshua could somehow win the fight against Oleksandr Usyk even though it is a huge task.

Maybe it will never happen now because if Usyk manages to win then there will be a re-match clause allowing Joshua another chance. Keeping the potential drama of Joshua vs Usyk aside, there is also drama in the Fury vs Wilder III fight. I think Fury will win comfortably but what happens if both Joshua and Fury lose? I will not be too interested to want to see their fight...

Honestly, as fans of boxing, and this is particularly true for British boxing fans, we've wanted to see Fury VS Joshua for a long time, and the sweetest part of this fight this time around, was it was for all belts. I can almost guarantee the boxing gods will now smite us, and either Fury or Joshua will lose their belt, and we won't get the fight.

Plus, I actually think that Usyk is a great match up for Joshua, and I can see him really testing him. So, if I was to bet my money on one of Joshua or Fury losing, it would more than likely be Joshua since Usyk is a proper good boxer where as Wilder only has that punchers chance.

I don't find this hard to agree. If we are to base our betting on boxing skills, we should be rooting for Joshua. Upsets do happen but seldom do we place our money on the line only for that very small window of opportunity.

But wait a minute, it seems Joshua's fellow countryman here does not agree.

Joshua doesn't have any choice there unless he would just inject covid virus to himself to avoid Usyk. looks like a fair record to me, the only way to beat a heavyweight fighter is to match also with a heavyweight. but i think this should be an opportunity for Joshua to show he can beat a top contender and deal with Fury after. Yeah, it wasn't a complete smashing by Ruiz though. Joshua had already sat him down, and then got caught himself in a sort of brawl type scenario. Joshua has demonstrated this before against other boxers in the division. Whyte for example. Hes prone to losing his head per say, by participating in these brawl scenarios, which are usually 50/50.

Also, I wasn't convinced by Joshua on his second outing against Ruiz, as Ruiz clearly wasn't bringing the fire he brought in the first fight, and Joshua looked to win by technical boxing, rather than a punch up like he usually does.

Usyk is undefeated and is a serious contender to any champion, Joshua is in big against one of the top contenders in the division this is one of his tests, Usyk could become the man who can derail the all British heavyweight mega-fight, I have no doubt that Fury can beat Wilder but Joshua will have a big test in Usyk, I hope Joshua can beat Usyk so we can have the much-awaited Joshu- Fury fight, it's the fight the boxing community wants to see,

When it comes to experience then no doubt that Joshua does have it but having 18 wins without loss plus having 13 knockdowns out of those 18 fights is something that he should prepared on.
Trying to check out on oddschecker then theres no surprise for AJ to be the favorite.

Even though Usyk is undefeated and has fought a lot of good fighters many members here still favors  Joshua to win the fight both fighters have a good amount of motivation, for Joshua he needs to win it so he can have a day against Fury and Usyk because three titles are on the line and he can possibly fight who wins between Fury and Wilder for a unification bout, so many at stakes for both fighters here.
