As for some CounterStrike tournament play we had Fissure Playground from July 15-20th in Serbia just began.
Surprisingly we had some Portuguese teams winning their matches yesterday with SAW, FURIA and paiN all looking good on the first day of this new installment of the CS2 circuit.
They all face tougher opposition in Lynn Vision and GamerLegion today with FURIA playing the winner tomorrow when the quarter-finals begin.

Uhm , do we really want to bet against Spirit ? I personally did on this 2nd map but I'm not so sure Gaimin can make it. However , they played better in 1st map too and only a comeback from Spirit made them winning 1st map. We also need to see 3 maps ...EWC deserve to be a close tournament and so far it was full of 2-0 which means teams are actually unbalanced in skill.

Went the same with @ralle14 for yesterday's match and choose Team Spirit where it was a 2-0 win.

How did T1 fair against GenG yesterday?

Those were the finals or a bracket match to see who advances? Because the site I was looking to for the results of the match yesterday showed some more matches being played throughout next week:

T1 fell short again to Gen.G, but this time they had the upper hand and had two series points after winning the third map.



They couldn't close it out on those last two maps, and Gen.G played it out perfectly, capitalizing on every bit of mistake T1 made during each skirmish.

In the next few days, we'll have more league action since EWC is up next after the MSI.

That's a close fight ngl, even T1 stomped them on G3 (?), well it is what it is. MSI is fun! I'm looking forward to the upcoming EWC which is T1 is the defending champion. This month is full of league and I'm happy since this is my childhood game and this recent year is full of very fulfilling tournaments that's very intense.

GGs to T1 and wellplayed to GEN.G, if the narrative is the same as 2023 JDG (ruler) won MSI and T1 in worlds, 2024 GENG (chovy) won MSI and T1 in worlds, let's see! Still incredible for T1 to at least dominate 90% of the major teams! (90% since it's always 3-2 with GEN.G)

That series had everything, including the record-breaking viewership. It does feel like a golden era for League fans, especially with the storylines so tightly wound. Both teams keep pushing each other to new mental levels. Chovy finally shook off the finals choker thing by reframing the pressure (just playing for fun, which is god-tier at that level), and you could see the Gen.G coaching staff taking real risks with the draft. Those are not safe calls in a Game 5.

On the T1 side, you have to respect how even after all these heartbreaks, they are never really out of it. Every time they lose, they are back in the lab. And with MSI giving a Worlds ticket now, Gen.G has all the breathing room, but T1's path just got way harder. So, Ruler's MSI -> T1's Worlds, then Chovy's MSI -> T1's Worlds? Maybe! But it's never that simple, and that is why we keep watching. These two keep finding new ways to surprise us. EWC, LCK, Worlds… next few months are fun and I am here for it.

Yeah if the narratives stick to them like proving how they're the Gods in the past worlds, then the world 2025 will going to be a hype international. It's never that simple but T1 proving in international stage is coded in the past years, like it's character development from Q1 to Q4, learning how to defeat other teams while the others are being comfortable because they defeated T1 multiple times. And let's be honest, without T1 or any LCK, the tourna really lacks viewership, I myself is too old for this game but I always watch series when T1 is there since it's the team I grow up in the past. If riot games want to gain more viewership, they need a good narrative again for other players, they need to put Ruler as the new God if ever T1 keeps losing in LCK split 3 but let's see!

I don't even play this game, but I still keep following their competitive scene from the domestic up to the international stage, and they never disappoint. 

Speaking of Ruler, his team also won the EWC after a close series against Anyone's Legend, and props to them for making the Twisted Fate pick work in game five, given that champion never won a game in MSI.

I think we can safely say that EWC Dota 2 was the worst one since inception right ? Paid crowd , no real Dota 2 fans , lots of trows and 322's that actually made this tournament going from Tier 1 to Tier 3 and besides Team Spirit and PariVision , who really played dota ? Because I only saw teams trowing games left and right from 1.05 odds and stuff and we also had Falcons who won just by complete luck a ticket to the finals just to get exposed from Spirit with a quick 3-0.

Hopefully The International won't be this way because this was one of the worst events ever in Dota 2 history.

Yeah, unfortunately I will have to agree with you on your observation of this past weekend's final. As it was not grand and way too short. Being blanked in a major like this was so bad for Team Falcons and it can now be questioned if they really are a good team playing together in their future for dota2.

They might want to have the third title of TI and they're going to be the first team to have that. Not all teams are even getting one title, let alone third aegis.

If the updates are going to be made before the TI, too many adjustments are going to happen for most of the teams. And whoever adjusts first with the patch that time will be on an advantage. While the way they play and mental stress is still a big factor, these minor to major patches and changes can really affect games.

Yea , awful performance from Falcon and they had no real business being in that grand final against Spirit ...a team who really dominated all teams before them.

I hope TI will be 10x better because EWC was a disaster for Dota 2 and it seems this game is becoming more regional year after year and new generation really doesn't want to learn Dota 2 at a pro level anymore. That's why at this EWC Dota 2 had only paid crowd and we barely saw any fans being attracted by Dota 2 even if they were watching other games in other arenas.
