Iran - USA match witnessed a breathtaking struggle in the last minutes. Kerim Ansarifard and Mehdi Taremi tried hard to score in the last minutes, but they were unsuccessful. The USA national team made no mistakes in defense and managed to win the game. Unfortunately, this match was not seen as just a sporting event by some. This is why some political tensions came to the fore in the media before the match. It's the 11th participation of US in World Cups.
In 1930 (Uruguay) they got the 3th place  
Hehe I know it's a long time ago, but it's official.

In 1994 the world cup in US I watched my first cup and they had a great team with Alexi Lalas, Marcelo Balboa, Cobi Jones, Tab Ramos etc, but unfortunately they played against Brazil in round of 16.
That team could reached at least quarter finals, but Brazil after that was the champion.

Talking about recent past, in 2002 (South Korea and Japan), US got until quarter finals, eliminated by Germany (2nd place) and only by 0 x 1. (Donovan played that match, and in my opinion, US played well against Germany, that team was good)

It's worth to watch because it was probably one of the best matches of US that I've ever seen, and there's a huge polemic about a ball in the hand of german player, maybe the result could be different with that goal.

I sort of expected more from Wales but, there performance was way under normalcy.

I almost change my bet to draw after 1st half finish because Wales seems very defensive. The England attacker is enough difficult to break the Wales line which comes to left and right-wingers but still can't cleave up the defense of Wales. lucky me not to change my bet and continue previously to bet on England because Rashford and Foden succeed to change the score to be 2 different scores, and more sure to win after Rashford create his 2nd goal.



Now, they have to hard work to prepare to face Senegal in the 16 round.

I had a really long and busy and something came up at work that I forgot all about tuning in on time for the United States versus Iran matchup.  Thankfully when I was going to get my haircut, I went to a place called "sports cuts" and they had the game on there on every single tv, so I was able to watch the last 20mns or so.  What an exciting game! So happy the US won.

Does anyone know how badly the US best player is hurt? If we don't have him for Saturdays game it wont even be any fun to watch really.  I'm going to be so upset if he can't play.

England has won by a large margin in their games. They also seem to be playing extremely well.

Personally I think they're one of the best performing teams of this tournament so far.

It will be hard to stop, I can definitely see England getting into the final, and even winning the world cup actually.

Every player has extremely high skills and they are very fast as well. They play great as a team.

The Iran vs USA match was very interesting from the start.  In this match, Iran tried to score from the first to the last time, but Iran could not score.  USA missed a lot of goals, with a little better effort USA could have scored another goal. But in this match USA played great. They scored 1 goal and won the match.

I wished Iran had qualified for the next round because they performed very well and took some bold off-the-pitch steps. They did not respect the US team because one would have thought that they would adopt a defensive strategy but they came out and played the game from the start to the finish. They did all the could to equalize the goal but they misused most of their chances. This Iranian team also stood in support of protesters in Iran when they refused to sing their national anthem before their first group game. Progressing to the next stage would have been a great milestone but I hope they would be safe when they return home?

Sometimes I wonder why Wales that is very close to England is not developing in football like the former. Wales was practically beaten in ball possession, goal attempts and the final score. I have always believed that the future attack of both England and Manchester United would be spearheaded by the 25years old Marcus Rashford. When football veterans like Harry Kane retires, Marcus and maybe Folden would be the future of the Three Lions. Rashford's brace in this match was a masterclass. His freekick and solo run would definitely be nominated for the goal of the tournament.

Iran has a surprising win against Wales and it is a very strong performance from them after a big defeat in a first day. However, they can not continue it in a last match with the USA. Cristian Pulisic deserves to be a leader of the USA team, a brightest star in their squad, a biggest star for that national team after Claudio Reyna, a legend player years ago.

Pulisic has to go to a hospital for checking his injury and there is no confirmation about his condition so far. I hope he will be able to play in round 16 because he is very important for the USA attacking system.

About Iran, they will have to wait for a next World Cup to fight again and aim at their first time to pass through group stage. In history, they have never passed through World Cup group stage.

I honestly expected more goals in this match. Iran started first 5 minutes with attacking and later just stopped and parked the bus,once they conceded a goal they tried to attack but that didnt work at all. USA also in second half just defended and pretty well,but i dont think that USA will go far in the knockout faze

Sarr stunning penalty goal was not an easy one to pin the goalkeeper still. It's one of the good penalty kicks in the world cup and Senegal thrash ecuador 2-1 to qualify for the next round of 16. This is a pretty dangerous score for USA that's for sure. Their one goal wasn't counted also and it was a really debatable decision by the way. Because they didn't even check VAR and they just let the match go on directly. USA should be able to answer this in the best manner. They were really fully dominant in the first half but things aren't going the same in this half now. Iran have started to balance the game which is a big advantage for them. They are a big threat in such situations.

Because for example we know what they did to Wales after Wales couldn't manage to find the goal they needed. Even one point is enough for Iran here so we had better be ready for a surprise as long as USA don't manage to find the second goal first.

About 20 minutes left in the second half their lives were on the line in this game. Iran, which we know, performed poorly from the first match, but now they are starting to get up and are ready to fill the runners up in Group B. Here, England have certainly qualified because they have scored 3 goals against Wales and won Group B.

the England vs Wales match was a match in which I had predicted England would win big because in terms of productivity England was superior. it's good to be the runner up. and for tonight's match there are many predictions that will appear. An exciting match is between Argentina and Poland, this is a life and death match for Argentina and Poland because looking at the statistics of Saudi Arabia and Mexico, maybe one of them will qualify, for example, Argentina and Poland. one of them losing means not qualifying, but I predict Saudi Arabia will win against Mexico hopefully my guess is right

With the victory that America got over Iran, America became runner-up in group B and it has been confirmed that America will get a place to advance to the last 16 of the world cup by collecting 5 points, while England has already got a ticket to the last 16 after beating Wales and managed to collect seven points, while from group A, the Netherlands and Senegal who have managed to secure tickets to the last 16, I'm looking forward to the match between Argentina vs Poland, because I'm still curious if Messi et al can bring their country to the last 16 of the world cup .

I watched that USA vs. Iran match and i have to say it was a pretty boring match. The United states were stronger in the first half and therefore their goal was totally deserved at that point. In the second half Iran was stronger because obviously they desperately needed to score a goal in order to advance into the knockout stage. They never really managed to create a lot of pressure though and they only had like 1 or 2 good chances in the second half to score, which is not really that much given the fact that they were the attacking team almost all the time.
I think both teams showed a pretty weak performance today and the luckier one went through. With a performance like today the US will have 0 chance against the Netherlands though.

I watched at first half match only between USA vs Iran most bored match and I don't see huge pressure from Iran in this match, I don't know about last issues about threat for Iran's family player at this games but actually Iran under pressure and less fighting spirit against with USA. I have expected when Iran won from Wales last match can qualify to next round because 1 points have been enough for Iran securing to the next round, but beaten by USA have closed Iran opportunity for the first time in World Cup participants history playing on knock out round.

I see from the eyes of the United States players and their supporters that they are very happy to have passed the group phase with England. United States to qualify in this group phase but my guess in this gambling I was not wrong to choose the United States and England to qualify in the group phase. don't be too happy just yet because in front of your eyes in the last 16 you will meet other big teams who have been waiting to have to try very hard again to be able to beat the Dutch national team which is filled with the best and quality players in the Dutch national team like Sergio Van Dijk he is one of the best defenders right now hopefully the game is very exciting and can be tight

England won Wales 3-0,bit was a goalless first half, England is dominating the match and I pity for the Wales who thought they could hold England down on not scoring but on to 50th minutes Rashford opened the goal scoring with a brilliant free kick that was 20 yards from the goal post. Rashford two goals.

It's funny that Kane, as the striker and captain of the team, hasn't scored a goal yet. He was the top scorer in 2018 in the World Cup with 6 goals in 6 games and now in 3 games no goal. So England play vs Senegal on 04.12. and the favourite is England. I think England will go to the semi-finals.

Some people believe Kane hasn't reach to his top performance in this tournament that's why Kane cannot playing well but as a captain he still being an important player for England and maybe Kane still hasn't scoring goals yet but so far he has 3 assists i think this indicated Kane has help other players to scoring goals and bringing England to round of 16 and for their next opponent Senegal could be tough opponent for England considering this team had epic comeback while against Ecuador but Senegal had poor records while against the teams from Europa so this might be can utilized to England to won the match but i am confident England will going to win the match and qualified to quarterfinal
