Even though Portugal has a very capable squad this season, I don't expect Cristiano Ronaldo and his friends to go further in this world cup even though this is the last world cup for Ronaldo. The world cup is still quite a long time away or about 223 days more if i'm not mistaken, but many of us are now starting to bet on favoring several countries as champions this year, your two choices are good choices in my opinion, but I doubt if portugal will be able to going far in this year world cup, the squad that is owned by portugal is not too potential to reach the final even though they have ronaldo, portogal journey to qatar is just a luck in my opinion when macedonia managed to beat italy in the play off phase some time ago.

Portugal have a decent squad, but let's not forget that they needed the play-offs to qualify for the final tournament. In my view there are 2 teams that are clearly the best, namely France and Brazil. If you look at the players of those teams, it is very impressive. Argentina also has good players, but they never function well as a team. Portugal, England, Belgium, Netherlands Germany Spain are all outsiders. It will be between France and Brazil. But we are dependent on the draw. Maybe they will face each other quickly.
