not just some matches, if you think some are fixed then I would assume most of them are, it's like they gave Italy the Euro but they had to not qualify for the world cup, anyways the final you mentioned with Portugal and German seems tough to happen, I'm expecting a Latin team to win the world cup this year since it's been 19 years when the last one won it which was Brazil, they are the favourites for me unless Argentina made a surprise.

Last time (2018), the world cup was held in Russia and none of the CONMEBOL teams managed to qualify to the semi-finals. France, Belgium, Croatia and England managed to find a spot in the semis and all these teams were from the UEFA (Brazil and Uruguay were kicked out during the QF stage). It is clear that weather played its part in 2018. But this time, that won't be the case, since the weather in Qatar will be very mild during November-December. Also, both Brazil and Argentina have the momentum at this point.

Winning the world cup for their homelands is not going to be easy at this point, when they are about to retire. But I am sure that both the players will give their best. Messi is more fortunate, as he is in a well balanced team. That is not the case with Ronaldo. His team is overdependent on him and there will be a lot of pressure. But still, I would love to see either Messi or Ronaldo winning the world cup for their respective teams. These two are legendary players and they deserve the trophy this time. But only one team can be the winner.

We all know in last few years few European teams are on decline, and they are not competing fully in World cup but still with their quality and skills we can expect challenge from them for strong contenders in this world cup. But the Netherlands even though it still doesn't have big names like its predecessors, but the Netherlands is starting to develop now. It's a shame, even though I really idolized this team from the days of Dennis Bergkamp and Van Nistelrooy. 2010 FIFA World Cup at South Africa right ? ( Giggling ) They gave it them all, but Spain Triumph over Dutch National squad. One good thing I can recall was Andrea Inesta of the Spanish side taking of he's jersey to celebrate he's goal and afterwards carded ( Yellow Card ).

I'm not so sure about that.
It's not the same to play for Barcelona, Real, Juve or PSG, where you play with the best footballers in the world and everyone can solve the game, or to play in the national team where you have weaker teammates and everyone is waiting for you to do something on your own and solve the game.
Also, it's not the same to play for a club or for your national team, when you represent your nation.
I think that even Messi has a special pressure because all the fans in Argentina compare him to Maradona and until Argentina finally wins the title of world champion, Maradona will always be considered better and bigger than him.

I believe we are talking about the World Cup. I think in this World Cup France is again going to have the superior squad as well as the highest chance of winning the trophy. Even though a lot of people are saying Argentina and Brazil will have a good chance, I honestly don't think that is the case. There are a few more strong teams compared to Argentina and Brazil.
