Didier Deschamps announced the squad for World Cup 2022, and some of the key players are missing out due to injury including Mike Maignan, Paul Pogba and N'Golo Kante. Lucas Digne and Ferland Mendy have been dropped. Surprise inclusions are Eduardo Camavinga and Aurelien Tchouameni. Karim Benzema and Raphael Varane have been included in the squad despite minor injury concerns. Overall, the French squad looks much weaker compared to the one we had in 2018 (the team that lifted the world cup in Russia).

This will be the 5th world cup for Messi and Ronaldo, only a few players can do that, In my opinion some of the players who might also retire due to age are Luca Modric and Benzema but there is no official announcement yet

I actually agree with you and I don't understand why the coach chose Richarlison, who is still recovering from injury, and not Firmino who has been playing very well for Liverpool for a long time.

The timing of the world cup is not in any way a good one. It's unacceptable to see players of this calibre surviving injuries when the world cup is just in a matter of days.

Sadio Mane injured for about a month, no world cup for him and Sengal chances of doing something down the drain. I am sure big Bayern victory yesterday was enough for him to be happy about

Also I think the draft to the team is not really 100% based on performance and tactics but preference irrespective of whether the payer is playing or not. Some key players dropped out of the squad that would represent England in the world cup and Gareth Southgate quite impressed with his selection. There are many players I wish could be fit before the world cup but I guess wrong, Reece James and ben Chilwell due to injuries. But Tomori and Lingard not getting a call up by Southgate is really frustrating for the players who are trying their best to fit in. I'm also going together in support for the England team towards this year journey to FIFA 2022 Qatar, am excited for Maguire making it up to the list while others that couldn't due to one or the other reasons still doesn't matter in determining their victory at last because i still believe this squad can deliver upto expectation, and knowing fully that those they will also fome across during the finals were also strong but England has more of all it takes to take the cup, from their formation and plan they have being engaging bsinge the beginning makes me got their convictions to deliver upto task.

Is really funny indeed and at the same time I'm not surprised that Harry Marguire is being called up. Southgate has his reasons why he choose to include a player who hardly plays for his club,he has nothing to offer but who knows what he might bring to the table.
