Beşiktaş still struggles well compared to this midfielder. Especially Atiba has been giving unexpected performances for years. Despite the age of 38 this year, he is still a hardworking player. Even to replace Seferovic with him, it would have been better to keep Mostafa Mohamed in the team. He was a much more skilled player than Seferovic about scoring goals. At least Galatasaray could have had three good strikers in that case. Anyway, it is still nice to see Gomis being this much helpful for his team despite his very old age. Sometimes he wastes so many goal chances though but I won't criticize him too much for that considering his age especially.

Aging doesn't affect all the players in a bad way until a point of course. We see examples like Messi, Benzema and so on. But we wouldn't expect the same effort from any player in the end.    I wasn't expecting that from Gomis as a result.

I think quite opposite of this. Galatasaray played as good as what is necessary. It dominated first half and scored easy goals (missed even more). But as I always mentioned Okan Buruk is sort of fail. He keeps trying to use weak physics midfielders especially after taking a lead. Mata can't play in this team. He should be sent away I think. Okan Buruk was hardworking midfielder when he was footballer. But his midfielders aren't like him at all.
