Ah, so Kiev were a bit unlucky huh. Seems like a good bet again away if they play the same? Odds should be even higher and they have to score 2 goals so BTTS anyway is something good for that tie next week.

Based on my performance right now, in prize spots for 2 pools but not the one I'd like to be in (EPL heh heh), but way too early to judge anything... I think you're right about needing to track, although I foresee myself getting incredibly busy this season I may have to "abandon" some of the pools along the way (which is really bad as I hate throwing away like that).

Do you mean Real Madrid odds? Because United will play in the Europa League.
As for the bookmakers, they are unlikely to change the quotes until the last rounds in the group stage. In long-term quotes, they are very little mobile. Even now, you can still bet on the winner of the Bundesliga with the same odds of 1.05, although it is already clear who will win.

You're right, departure of one player can't change outright odds much. Maybe it can change a bit after draw of groups, but more significantly it will change only in later phase of tournament.

Yeah I doubt one guy leaving makes a difference -- same as one guy coming. Would be different if they'd shipped out half the team and got a lot of new faces in. If the odds shift in the market now, it's going to be because of money put on the lines (and it's probably going to get a significant bump closer to the start).

Yeah I doubt one guy leaving makes a difference -- same as one guy coming. Would be different if they'd shipped out half the team and got a lot of new faces in. If the odds shift in the market now, it's going to be because of money put on the lines (and it's probably going to get a significant bump closer to the start).

Even so, I'm not sure the odds will change much. I remember last year Juventus got off to a bad start and it was obvious they were already in too deep but the bookmakers kept listing them as favorites in the title race. For me it was amazing. However, I do not make long-term bets, maybe this is some kind of "special" market.

Yesterday, Benfica, Maccabi and Victoria qualified for the group stage. Today, three more teams will be lucky: Rangers vs PSV - I think PSV will traditionally get their ticket. Copenhagen vs Trabzonspor - I have no idea about this pair. Boude-Glimt vs Dinamo (Zagreb) - similar, but I'll be rooting for a more exotic Norwegian club.
Tomorrow is the group draw and you can start building long-term forecasts and come up with strategies to maximize profits from betting in the group stage

will be interesting to see Bodo tonight, they had great run last season in Conference league, and strong home ground, but just one goal up prior to re-match tonight

Dinamo has a good chance to get back into CL

not sure about PSV, but would like to see Rangers in CL, they missed their chance in EL final last season, so tonight is a new chance

Cobenhavn is closer to CL than Trabzonspor, IMO, but as all matches, will be interesting

Really glad to hear that. I was thinking yesterday, we can be 25 or 30, still a good number. I think 40 can be the maximum at we can hope with a lot of luck in our side.

Groups E and H - it is immediately clear who will take the first two places, but in the other groups the situation is more interesting: despite the presence of a strong favorite, there will be a serious struggle for second place and I would say that the outcome is almost nowhere clear.

Yes 25 participants would be unbelievable for this pool because even if it is the most prestigious contest, it will start after all the national championships, and most bitcointalk bettors and soccer fans have already subscribed to those pools unfortunately.
Anyway people are coming back from summer holidays and groups had been drawn now, it could attract some more people hopefully.
