Napoli may have had the best half of the season of all. The defeat against Liverpool in the CL could also have been won. They are going to play against Manchester City and their chance of getting past the round is pretty slim. Manchester City are like the most favoured team for the Champions League title according to bookmakers. Even their closest opponent in this race has a much bigger odd than them. We can call this as "Haaland effect" maybe. Because since his joining the team I think Manchester City are fully complete now. Leipzig on the other hand have done a good job in the group stage. They even defeated Real Madrid in one of the matches. But things are more serious at this point and I don't expect Manchester City to lose in any of the legs.

I think that the current World Cup should be a good lesson for those who are confident in some results  City have been big favorites to win for several years in a row, but they still do not have a title. Every team has a chance and it would be great if Leipzig went further. I think City have enough of the title of the best club in the world - the shameful award they received at the end of last season

You have got a point there.    We have had really surprising results in this World Cup. Moreover we had another surprise in the Champions League last season. Villarreal made it to the semi finals by eliminating much bigger teams like Juventus and Bayern Munich. They could have even eliminated Liverpool as well.

I don't think that would be a factor that would be counted in the knock out stages considering that the players invested by the German side are all fit and non sustain injuries during their play in the world cup.  I just feel the most experienced team will come out victorious when it comes to the champions league. I believe that by now he too has realised the harsh reality that no club that’s currently active in champions league wants him, and his best bet is to settle for the Saudi club offer. However there are only two champions league clubs that can spring a surprise on us by buying him and those are 1) PSG: imagine him play with Messi and this is only possible if he reduces his wages by at least 90%, 2) Chelsea could buy him for his brand value, but I sincerely wonder if the new Chelsea coach really wants to build his team around Ronaldo.
