What a day for Napoli! They literally destroyed Liverpool by 4-1. I would never expect this to happen honestly and most people must have thought the same. Maybe Liverpool weren't in a good shape but I was still hopeful about them to play differently here. But there was no change in their effort and Napoli punished them really hard. Napoli have a good winning record against the Reds at the  Diego Armando Marandona stadium. They thrashed their visitors 4-1, it was quite embarrassing to see one of the toughest club in the premier league concede much goals in their first game. Luciano Spalleti was really impressed with his team performance and one must agree that the Naples have sets of quality players. Jurgen Klopp don't have much to say after the game, rather he just concluded that the club needs to reinvent their players.  
Tottenham winning Marseille 2 nil, and the two goals scored were from Richardlison. It's his first debut in the champions league and really happy to give Spurs 3 points in the first game. Anthonio Conte proud of him as they would face another tough team next in their group.

Liverpool looked bad and had to swallow the bitter pill against Napoli, Liverpool were really pressured by Napoli and were not given the opportunity to develop the game. some opportunities can not be maximized by the Red. their defense looks very fragile in this match as well as the midfielders who lack creativity, I'm not surprised Liverpool will lose this match considering that Klopp's squad did not play well at the start of the domestic league season, but what surprised us was the score 4 - 1.
yes so far only manchester city is more promising, but i hope jurgen klopp can improve the performance of the red and not have the same fate as thomas tuchel.

They became clowns in this first game. Don't know why, even though in terms of schemes they are always good but when you see how easy it is for them to concede this goal, it's really unbelievable.
For a score like this for Liverpool it's obviously a massacre and a humiliating defeat.
Hopefully in the second match against Ajax they won't be like this anymore because it's clear that if they concede a goal easily like in this match it's clear they will be the subject of good ridicule.

I think we are witnessing the decline of Liverpool. It's shocking to me...how a team can reach their potential, be on top and then start to break down astonishingly. What's going on with this team? It is a wrong time for liverpool to face the acid test. Napoli players are hungry for glory and they have been playing together for a while now. However this defeat is a work up call. Klopp need to change the game plan and things can turn on their way. Because with the current trend of sacking Managers, he doesn’t look exempted.

Liverpool have followed suit in taking their own hit in today's game after Chelsea's yesterday away match defeat and they even had worst defeat than Chelsea, This is just the beginning of the UEFA Champions League group stage match and there's no need to be panicking. I do believe that this guys Liverpool and Chelsea are still gonna bounce back better and qualify in their respective group stage regardless of the duo loosing in their first leg group stage games. The two teams really need to step up their games because loosing another game could deny them the opportunity to qualify for the next round of the game.

I think, the two teams really performed well through out the last season that made their fans praised them for the good results they achieved from the tournament, that made many people to believed that they will definitely win this season title. I believe, Liverpool will definitely get it right if their president can sack their coach and try another coach like the way Chelsea president sacked their coach to bring in a new talented coach that can continue the work to ensure this season go well with them. Pretty weak game by Liverpool. Maybe the glorious Klopp era is coming to an end. Porto-Atletico was quite dramatic with three goals scored in the additional time.
Chelsea really disappointed their fans against Dinamo. Thomas Tuchel lost control over his team and maybe the owners kicking him out of the London club was the right decision.
The rest of the results in this round of the group stage were pretty much expected. PSG winning against Juventus was also expected. The Italian team can't compete with Mbape, Messi and the other superstars in the multi-million French team.

It seems Klopp and Liverpool are going to the end of a great successful cycle. New players need time to adapt better or they are just worse than the successful generation of players Liverpool have in past 7 years. Furthermore, players from the successful generation are degrading in performance. Especially Van Dijk and their defenders. Mo Salah did not play well so far but I think he will come back. I don't worry about Mo Salah but the departure of Mane makes things worse in general.

Mane not only contributes goals and assists but also space for other mates to play and beat opponent's defense. Now in Liverpool, they are struggling to find a player to replace this role of Mane.

The outcome of Liverpool game was actually looking decisive for me because looking at their performance in premier league, it was quite difficult for them to be able to defeat Napoli. The Italian side comfortably sit at the second spot in the Serie A with 13 points whereas Liverpool are struggling at 7th place.
 Napoli played them like they were some kind of new team who were having their first taste of champions league and it would have been 5-1 had Osimehn not lost his penalty. Interesting first leg for Napoli, I believe the second leg will be better.

Yes that's true, So if Dembele continues to do well with Lewandowski he will score a lot of goals. These two are by far the best in this game. I'm usually enthusiastic about Dembele. After being called a first-person player in the last game, he really did everything for his teammates. He's definitely changed a lot under Xavi and I hope he stays injury free this time too. And there's nothing to say about Lewandowski. For me he is the best striker in the world.

I'm not even surprised that Lewandowski is the first person to get a hat-trick in the UCL this season. Lewandowski has been the best footballer in the world for several years! He is a magic player! He is one of the greatest players Barcelona have had in the club's history! Without him, Barcelona would be in trouble! Thanks to Lewandowski, Barcelona played well in attack!
