I think to make it happen, bitcoin need mass adoption of many people, so bitcoin could become popular,
if bitcoin is not well-known and popular, it would be difficult to bitcoin could become a global currency?
btw do you think when this will happen ?

Mass adoption is highly needed for the growth of bitcoin price, but the real fact is huge adoption won't happen in a short time. Only after long years of existence it may happen which further make bitcoin more popular.

Mass adoption will not be done overnight it will take a long  time to happen, so unless it doesn't happens bitcoin will not become a global currency.

 All i can say. Is yes ts becoming global money cause many people nationalities already aware of bitcoin . How can be transacted. And they found the oppurtunities of bitcoin  so they will stake to  it. Unlike paypal it has a huge fee by transfering it to ur bank notes.

I expect that in the next 5 years to be frank, but it can be as long as 10 year if we are slow!

I feel just 5 or 10 year as a very less time to reach a user percentage of around 5 - 10%.

yes I think probably within 5 years most of the local stores and malls will accept bitcoin as a payment. But replacing other currencies with bitcoin is a difficult task because some countries has framed opposition laws against bitcoin..

I see it now as a global currency but just not use as a main currency specially online. Still there are some who prefer it the other way. Yes it is online but they want it sent through their own currencies.

LOL. you're right, maybe for us it is the Global Currency, but for the general public, only bitcoin digital currency. but maybe someday bitcoin will become a real Global Currency in the world

I haven't seen anyone over the age of 40 who doesn't think it is a failed investment or it has no future or whatever other argument they have against it.

BAH!!  Bitcoin is a horrible currency.  Are people actually spending their bitcoin?  If you look at the goods section of this forum--and this is probably the most active place--the economy is very small and people seem very reluctant to spend their bitcoin.  I don't know, I've said it before but I view bitcoin as a way to store value, gamble, and speculate.  It's not good as a real currency.

Only countable number of people are into bitcoin over the entire world, but as mentioned above when this youngsters reach the age of 50 the user rate might be much high and might get used as our regular currencies but never as a global currency.

Its still very far away from happening and i think that wont be possible, because bitcoin is not tangible, so if bitcoin become global currency all of our transactions is going to become internet based, imagine the electricity that being consumed when this happened
