I do not think so. Successful gamblers whatever your definition may be are not seen as addicts. Even if they are, the world believes that once you are successful at any venture your ability to do wrong or be addicted to something like gambling diminishes. Let's look at Drake. A very successful musician known all over the world for making good music. He has also caught the attention of the gamblers for betting huge amount of money on Football matches, boxing. Some he lost, and some he won. I have never heard anyone say he has a gambling problem. All I hear people say whenever he losses a bet is that he'll make that money back in less than an hour, or he has more than enough money, so it is not a problem. Well, I just think that successful gamblers are not seen as addicts.

If you are making money with it then you are not seen as a gambling addict but a professional gambler. However, if you are gambling on regular casino games then there is no success, house edge makes sure that you lose in the end and you can gamble as much as you want, it will lead to you losing your money there is no doubt about that.

The only thing you can win constantly is games like poker which means that you will get to gamble with other people and you can become a professional gambler in that regard. This would be a better thing and I believe that we are going to end up with a good career out of it if we know what we are doing. I wish I could have posted this in a more better place but since the thoughts came from gambling addiction, I thought it wise to ask this question over here and I hope we can discuss and get this straight.

Just as the tittle already ask, I really want to know if people who are successful in gambling also seen as addicts because I believe  for one to be successful in gambling or whatever they choose to do, there must be some good amount  of time and effort invested in it as well as money and we know that a successful  gambler must have invested  both time, effort and even money to make any reasonable  winning  and these also are features of an addict as there are always excessive time spent on a betting site.

1.Nobody sees successful people in general as addicts. Why? Because "the winners cannot be judged". A person, who is winning is good by default. Only the losers can be seen as addicts. That's just human nature.
2.Is there such a thing as a "successful gambler"? What kind of gamblers are you talking about? Professional poker players? Roulette, dice and slot players? Sports bettors? To be honest, I have never seen successful dice/slot/roulette players(those games are 100% luck with no skills required and maybe most of them are rigged). The successful professional poker players are a really small number and the same applies to successful sports bettors.

It is true. Even with how professional we are in our gambling habit there will always be that losing streak that will make us off in our decision making. Especially in casino games which are mostly controlled by the house. Once you do call yourself a professional gambler then you would really be having that quality on which it is really that totally too far into those casual gamblers who do really play most of the time. Once you do achieve

on a certain level or condition on which on the time that you would really be that able to control yourself towards gambling on which you could stop and play as you do like or could even able to call it a day.

I think not all successful gamblers could be considered as addicts. There are already successful gamblers who quit and just decided to use their winning profits to enlarge their assets and put up businesses. Being successful relies on a gambler's mindset.
We couldn't be successful in this field if we will not be wise to save our winnings and if we will continue to bet without limitations. To be honest, I haven't been able to get the gist of the successful gambler according to the OP's version. because if we refer to the meaning of the word success, literally, the word success means to be successful in several aspects. you could say, succeeding is success, regardless of any way to get to that success. here, we discuss it related to gambling. according to my version, I interpret it, success symbolizes success and the gambler always wins his bet. thus, he became wealthy. well the thing is, how many people do we know to be successful at gambling. or, we refer to someone as you say. yes, Drake.

As we know, that he always makes gambling posts which he does. sometimes he won it, not infrequently he also lost the bet. I'm not saying he's successful, but he's more inclined to like betting. and because he has abundant finances, Drake tends to gamble with big bankrolls. I see it more, Drake as a connoisseur of gambling like us. the difference is, we bet with the money we have.
regarding the problem of gambling addiction, the point is that OP can define it according to OP's own understanding. because to categorize addicts or not, it is someone who knows himself. in a sense, the gambler can review himself to find out whether he is an addict or not.
