Well first of all the even the gambling exist before the bitcoin and cryptocurrencies where people use the fiat money in order to gamble. So if there is a group of people who doesn't like the bitcoins, it does not necessary mean that they will  dislike and discourage gambling also.

Yup, people are so easily to judge especially if they know that your money is fruit of gambling. Everyone has a different point of view, that's why there are some gamblers who prefer to hide their gambling activities and there are also those who don't, there are many reasons why people hide their gambling, for example if they are in a country that considers gambling to be illegal, of course it will be very dangerous for them if they are caught by the law because gambling and it definitely violates the rules and could be subject to criminal sanctions, so they prefer to hide it rather than publicize it.

If gambling is prohibited in your area and yet your friends are still gambling, they are really taking a great risk. This is not just about hiding it from their family; if the restriction is something from the government, and the casino also acknowledges that, finding out that someone is gambling in a restricted area can get the person's account locked up because they have broken one of the casino strict rules.

Well, you can't really blame your loved ones for criticizing your decisions because they are simply concerned to you. If those people who are close to you will negatively react once they knew you are gambling, it's because most probably they heard the disadvantages gambling may bring into one's life. People's principles are different, I myself will keep my gambling a secret. Whether I win or lose, I will keep it a secret because gambling is not a good thing to be proud of and tell others about.
