It's me, In our country our maximum parents discouraged their children and boy's and girls not to do any kind of side work before complete their study. They think that will create defect on their study. Gambling you know in Bangladesh gambling in illigali and it's highly risk to economy. I started gambling my own and hide this from my family. My parents are not aware with my gambling habit.

I'd like to share my experience with you all. Even though I'm not currently employed, I went through a phase of gambling while I was working in the past, and the outcome wasn't positive. It affected my job performance because, as you may know, when you lose, you tend to dwell on your losses and constantly think about strategies to win. When we talk about work, it usually means we're not particularly wealthy, and imagine what happens when we gamble money we can't afford to lose, especially when we're not earning much.

Let me tell you, the feeling is far from pleasant. It leads to a decline in your work performance, which can have significant consequences since that's your primary source of income. It might be manageable if you're winning, but the harsh reality is often quite the opposite. Even when we do win, we tend to spend most of our winnings, so we don't treat it as business money. This leaves us in a precarious situation when we lose because the money we initially budgeted for our families gets diverted to cover unexpected gambling-related expenses.

It doesn't matter if where and when you choose to gamble actually, as long as you've got self control and not an addict. And as long as it doesn't interrupt your job. Where it can really be a problem is when you spend most time in Gambling or if you're somewhat addicted to gambling, because if you're not an irresponsible gambler, you'll know there's something called setting gambling limits.

You know how much you earn at your job, you know your budget so gambling above your budget or limit shows you're either an addict or getting addicted, lacking the ability to know when to call it a quit or knowing when to leave when you have a win. It seems that only a few people gamble at work, and there are still many people who prioritize their work rather than gambling, and maybe they will gamble during their break time or after coming home from work because those who prioritize their work are the ones who are responsible and know the way they appreciate their work and those who carry out gambling activities at work are people who are irresponsible in their work and this can have a bad impact because if a boss finds out about gambling activities at work he will definitely be fired immediately. The boss just needs the right person really appreciate your work not just for personal enjoyment, after all gambling at work is not as free as when you do it at home, at home you can relax and enjoy gambling without having to worry that your boss will find out, so I personally prefer gambling at home or when I'm relaxing than doing it at work.

If it's like that, it's good, because they should prioritize their work not gambling which will cause problems if they do it in the workplace because it is likely that the boss will definitely reprimand them, because what they do is wrong and can also interfere with their work which is their own responsibility. Their performance will also decrease because of the gambling they do, it will also harm them themselves in the future, maybe they will be caught by the boss and maybe the boss can fire them dishonorably like you said.

This must be avoided, so as not to cause problems for themselves, they must realize the most important and clear job is their regular income, so they don't lose gemstones for pebbles. If they are fired for defending or gambling it is very stupid, they cannot appreciate what they have earned even though it is important to them.

That's why its not good idea to gamble especially if we are in front of co-workers since they might stir up somethings and create bad stories that can cause us trouble on the higher officials of the company. Much really better if we could just gamble at home since this could give us comfortable atmosphere and we are so away with those judgmental eyes which doesn't understand that what we do is just a part of entertaining our selves and we don't mean anything more than that especially causing harm to our workmates.

Well, its nothing to really be surprised about, every serious gambler did spent of their office time gambling, I myself won't say exactly the same for myself since I worked in a factory where polyethylene products where being produced, at our working time, we were always operating heavy machineries which does not give us any free seconds for us to divert our attention to any thing else, as doing so is dangerous which could lead to either electric shock, blade cut or more severely, heater burn.

So, we were always occupied at all time, the only time we had time to do anything else was during our afternoon break, at this time, you could do what ever please you, it was just a one hour long break, some usually go and sleep, while gamblers spend the time gambling, I myself was more of into betting at the time, so I spend this time looking for good matches to bet on.
And as stressful as this time was at the time for me and many others, we still had the best of fun at every given opportunity.

Chess is also a subject I like. I've been addicted to it since I was in school. But I never played it online because I wanted to quit this game. It took me too much time and too much thought to play.

I'm currently gambling online with cryptocurrency. It makes me passionate. I play it when I work and when I get home. It really makes me lose focus at work. Many times, my work does not achieve good results due to the influence of online gambling. I may have to delete that app again from my phone. But I deleted and redownloaded it many times . I don't know how to limit it to reduce its impact on my daily work.

Addiction is hard to get out of, but you can start one day at a time.

The key thing is to analyze your behavior and realize where is the trigger that makes you want to do the thing.

Then decide to do something else instead whenever you get that urge. If you swap a bad one with a good one, that still makes you motivated, then you can be able to stop the loop.

Yes, you are right to have a way to relax at work and as long as it doesn't interfere with your work, you can keep doing it. But you should be careful because there are definitely colleagues who don't like seeing what you do. After all, that's what happens in the company or at the office. Many said that while working in an office or company, many said that competition and putting each other down in the office was strong, making employees have to be more careful in how they socialize in the office. But if you have solid colleagues who can understand each other, there definitely won't be any problems at work. According to my experience we should share our every job with our parents because they can give us good suggestions and advise. Parents always think better for their children so if they make restriction so they must want that their children complete their education first and if parents are completing our wishes then we should not move towards bad job like that of gambling.

I think you have deviated a bit from the original topic of discussion because this question is not about gambling in the country or hiding it from your parents,  but it is about what you do at work,  whether or not you gamble at work and how do you feel gambling in the work environments.

Just like I have been telling folks who combine gambling with other things,  you have to be smart enough to be able to share your time and thoughts between both,  and most times,  that is not as easy as it sounds and for that,  we have to consider some things such as how almost impossible of is to combine gambling with any other thing so the best thing to do is to separate your gambling time from every other thing and only gamble at your free time.

Most of people do gamble at work but if we see the current result of the pool, only 31% claim that they gamble at work while 57% claim that they do not gamble at work.



I think this is healthy behavior if people do not gamble at work as this way they can focus more on the work during working time and when they gamble at other times (off work timings), there would be no tension of work at that particular time.
