Any idea whats the total number of coins in circulation now?
Did we lose some coins at cryptsy?

Good to see the revival.

Right now, many coins are stuck in cryptsy.
I opened a support ticket last week, sadly i didn't receive any reply yet.

Bter and cryptsy are the reason, why I forecast a huge dumb, if they open its ports again! So, this is a thing of time. We have now enough time to evaluate a lot of stuff. During this time, every idea is very welcome here.

The more we market TIPS and the better we support it, add new features and generally bring it back to life, the less impact that potential dump will have. Thanks to "metamorphin"  for getting on board...

Does anyone know which one is more accurate?

According to http://www.fedoracoin.xyz:3001/ and https://chainz.cryptoid.info/tips/,

They both show the same block height 1165220, however, the total number of mined coin is different.

https://chainz.cryptoid.info/tips/ shows 416,925  M TIPS
http://www.fedoracoin.xyz:3001/ shows 430,427 M TIPS

There are around 14,427 M TIPS difference, does anyone know which one is more accurate?

Thanks

Logically the latter one should be correct as sometimes, it takes a while to catch up and its impossible to mine coins without auditing them in the blockchain.
So I will always go for the higher one Smiley

so that means only less then 70,000 M TIPS left to mine, and all the Fedoracoin will be in the market start to trade and circulate?

If you got the wallet running, you could open the console and type
getinfo

and look for the key moneysupply.

Unfortunately fedoracoin doesn't give supply with the getinfo rpc method. The reason is that due to the random rewards, the totalsupply can't easily be precalculated unlike with other coins with predictable rewards.

The blockexplorers are not calculating based on let's say 50coins per block.
They are checking, how many blocks there have been on the mining process.
www.fedoracoin.xyz:3001 took over 7 days generating all the transactions, wallet balances.
Someone from the fedoracoin-dev group (not sha256) is running a script because we also had the same question Wink
As soon as his script is finished we can update here what his script found out.

As you can see, the current ANN layout is defective. The images used by FedoraCoin are inactive.
Therefore, the new development team  decide to put in place a new thread with a more attractive presentation.

We hope you will be satisfied with the new fedoracoin starting here :

NO...You have to transfer your coins from bter to alcurex or cryptopia. The code-changes in TiPS are a big pump scamgroup from bter!

So go here for newest developments.

Hello everyone,

I would like to bring everyone's attention here. We have suffered two large fork recently, and now it's really time to bring the topic here and would like get everyone's opinion. So we can move forward, because this can happened again.

Here are the opinions that we can work on.

1. Keep current algorithm, increase security, adding more nodes and checkpoints.
2. Use POW+POS
3. Merged mining
4. Update algorithm, like Scrypt-N, X15, etc.

Worst case hard fork may needed.

Please contribute your opinions. Or if you have better opinions, bring it. So we can make a better FedoraCoin together.
