Germany started reverse deliveries of gas via Poland within the framework of an existing contract with Naftogas: http://itar-tass.com/ekonomika/1121923

Gazprom shouldn't worry too much. Reverse delivery means more gas is pumped through the Nord Stream. That means less transit fees. Also remember that in this case, Gazprom owns money from the Germans, not the Poles. So it will also ease the payment related disputes as well, as the Germans are usually punctual with their payments.

Russians are good at black humour. That's what got the nation through a Civil War, Stalin's repressions, WWII and all kinds of other hardships both before and after.
-Whats was colder that cold water during the Ceausescu regime? -Hot water We share this thing with the humor.

Turkey will allow Russia to build South Stream in its territory, should Russia come with such request: http://lenta.ru/news/2014/04/16/south/This is one of the question to be discussed during the negotiations in Ankara next week.

Turkey will allow Russia to build South Stream in its territory, should Russia come with such request South Stream route have been finalized already. And it is not passing through Turkey. I don't understand the necessity to re-route it through Turkey, as it would make the pipeline uneconomical.

Yeah I'm not up on all the news regarding Russia and their plans for pipelines but something tells me they won't be doing that deal with turkey. Feels more like some form of political posturing of sorts to me.

Turkey is one of the most important NATO members. Why should Russia go with Turkey, dumping their old and trusted allies such as Bulgaria and Serbia? This is never going to happen.

Even if the pipeline would have been constructed through Turkey it would still have run through Serbia and Bulgaria. I'm interested if the Trans Adriatic Pipeline or Nabucco will ever get finished.

TAP will get completed. But the Nabucco never will be constructed. Only the Azeris are favoring its construction. And gas output from the Azeri fields have been declining for many years now.

Isn't TAP highly depended on the Iraq and Middle east output and the situation there also? With so many pipelines i tend to forget which is coming from where.

Isn't TAP highly depended on the Iraq and Middle east output and the situation there also? There is only one confirmed donor to the TAP. That is Azerbaijan. If they can get another country, either Turkmenistan or Iraq, then the pipeline will become viable. But the situation in Northern Iraq is a bit volatile at this point of time and there are no plans for a pipeline yet.

I laughed so hard reading the words Macaristan and others again .

Not only Turkey. Azerbaijan is also not stable. Remember the war 2 decades ago. The Armenians swept the floor with them. Like all rich Muslim nations, Azerbaijan waste all of its money on waging wars, than giving proper health and educational facilities to its population. Also the drug addiction problem is getting out of control there. The situation has significantly worsened in the last 2-3 years.

Reviving an old topic, seems Europe ponders banning import of Russian gas, and quickly switching to other energy sources. It seems that is what the report from Fitch Ratings indicates: http://www.utro.ru/articles/2014/04/24/1191478.shtmlAlternatives are coal and oil (and coal from Ukraine might not be as easy to get as well ), which will see an abrupt price hike. Russia stands for 27% of European gas consumption. European gas storage reserves can currently cover 2 months of consumption, being filled at 46% capacity. Greece, Bulgaria, Slovakia and Hungary have almost no reserves left. Common Europeans will get hit hardest in case of prolonged "sanctions against Russia".

Reviving an old topic, seems Europe ponders banning import of Russian gas, and quickly switching to other energy sources. It seems that is what the report from Fitch Ratings indicates And it is not going to affect Russia at all. Russia is facing a severe shortage of gas, so the exports of gas to Turkey and China had to be decreased. And right now, since it is summer season, the EU can depend to cutoff the Russian supplies. But in winter, it is going to severely handicap their industries. 26% of all EU gas comes from Russia. And right now, they can't replace that much supplies from any other country.

Gazprom sends Ukraine $11.4bn bill for unshipped gas And they are not going to pay a penny out of it. This has been going on for a few years now... use all the gas as they like and refuse to pay for it in the end. Good that the South Stream pipeline is nearing its completion.

Recent news on this topic: Ukraine's failure to pay gas debt may cut gas supply to Europe - Russia’s energy ministerhttp://rt.com/business/155100-ukraine-gas-debt-eu/“Currently Ukraine’s debt is US$2.238 billion, this [figure] does not include gas deliveries made in April,” Novak noted. “The debt will rise 1.3 billion for the April deliveries.” “Today, only the South Stream project can give Europe real additional guarantees of energy security," said Miller on Friday. And, especially, this: Russia said it hopes the EU “will take measures towards the speediest disbursement of financial aid to Ukraine by European financial institutions, which will be used, among other things, for ensuring Naftogaz of Ukraine's timely payments for natural gas supplies from Gazprom", the ministry said. In the meantime, US decided to sanction a little Sechin and Miller (leaders of Rosneft (RosOil) and Gazprom respectively): http://www.gazeta.ru/politics/news/2014/04/28/n_6113973.shtml
