Notice to all buyers

When you plan to get massive speed from NiceHash, adjust difficulty of your target pool to high value. Failure to do so will results in bridge disconnects and penalties paid to miners.

Is there a guide for speed / difficulty?

What about the pools that don't let you set difficulty?  Most pools do it for us.

If pool auto set it is ok - vardiff. We are here talking about massive floods with number of shares, speeds like 2 ghs+ on Scrypt and using diffs as low as 1024.

anyone know how to solve the lottery problem?

deposit address for nicehash account "Do NOT mine into this address directly! Mining payments to this address will be ignored and considered as donations! Also, do NOT use this wallet Bitcoin address for pool username when configuring your miner for mining on our stratum servers. Use your own personal or cloud Bitcoin wallets for mining. This is a deposit address only for buying hashing power. Thank you for understanding."

Yet when you deposit money into your account and click to pay for a lottery chance, it mines directly into the address on your account . your pool user name is the address you are told not to use, automatically set to it with what looks like no ability to change it

We do not allow mining into deposit addresses because that gives us a lot of dust transactions which on long term cause higher transaction fees.

When solo mining bitcoins, you can only get one large transaction of 25 BTC. That is why we made exception for lottery - it is allowed to use deposit address for solo mining.

I would set the p= in the password to 0.0110 to 0.0115 and let it roll. There have been spikes in SHA-256 the past 2 weeks at times to 30% over +.

i haven't played with the options like p= at all...but with the profit being -5% I thought I might.  so I set one of my s3's to be p=.011, saved/applied and then rebooted.

I don't know if .011 is really a good value.  would love peoples thoughts.

my s3 now shows that for westhash its "dead" and is mining at my secondary location.  How often does the s3 check on the primary mining location, westhash, to see if it should switch back to westhash for mining?

thoughts are absolutely welcome.

I would use 0.0115 myself--nice/westhash charges a fee, so you want to make sure you take that into consideration.  I use the calculator at bitcoinwisdom (on the diff page, top right) to determine what the 100% mark is per 1TH, then I bump that number up to make sure it's profitable.  YMMV, but this will help you catch the crazy 30%+ rental fees without you worry about wasting hash when it's less profitable.

is the "port" still the same?  :3334 ??

What is the best settings (difficulty) for Alcheminer 256MH scrypt machine on your pool?
I tried it on your pool, but only 130-140MH, but on the other pools (for example hash-to-coins) I am hashing 240MH (+/-)

Unfortunately this is probably another example of Scrypt miners that were not built good enough to mine altcoins (low diff, fast work restart, etc.) but rather for Litecoin (and other coins with already high enough diff) mining only. Try to upgrade your firmware or contacting manufacturer if there are any settings to improve mining on altcoins.

You may get better hashrate on NiceHash now since operating lowest difficulty has been set to 16384 for Scrypt. Not sure if this is high enough for your mining hardware, but you can try and report back the results.

I was mining on westhash for more than half of a year and everything was great.
But I can't connect to nicehash and westhash for last 3 days.
My address: 1D3TzzPz54yS45inm5nbyWY4BVJWYPYX5J

I use sgminer 5.1.0:

[04:04:05] Pool: 1  URL: http://stratum.nicehash.com:4336  User: 1D3TzzPz54yS45inm5nbyWY4BVJWYPYX5J.a  Password: f0=0;f2=0;f3=4;f4=2
.919;f5=0;f6=0;f7=0;f8=0.28
[04:04:05] Pool: 2  URL: http://stratum.westhash.com:4341  User: 1D3TzzPz54yS45inm5nbyWY4BVJWYPYX5J.a  Password: f0=0;f2=0;f3=4;f4=2
.919;f5=0;f6=0;f7=0;f8=0.28
[04:04:05] Press any key to exit, or sgminer will try again in 15s.
[04:04:06] X13 slow/down or URL or credentials invalid
[04:04:06] Neo slow/down or URL or credentials invalid

Please fix this issue

quick simple newb question...on nicehash.com (or westhash.com) can you set the payout to say only pay out when the amount hits like 2 BTC or some such?
is there a way to set this ...(for example slush's pool has a 5 BTC then auto pay out)

or is it pretty much set as a default to pay out 4x a day to an address?

(I am considering mining LTC to BTC directly rather then as I have been just mining LTC and holding)

thanks for the help

Old Style Legacy Plug & Play BBS System. Get it from www.synchro.net. Updated 1/1/2021. It also works with Windows 10 and likely 11 and allows 16 bit DOS game doors on the same Win 10 Machine in Multi-Node! Five Minute Install! Look it over it uninstalls just as fast, if you simply want to look it over. Freeware! Full BBS System! It is a frigging hoot!:)

Hi,

Payments are sent according to this: https://www.nicehash.com/index.jsp?p=faq#faqs5

We have in plans to support setting custom payout settings via signed messages blockchain feature (since miners are not required to have an account on NiceHash) in some of the future updates. Nevertheless we'll never support holding large amounts of Bitcoins. Even though we have BitGo insured wallet please keep in mind that our service is not a Bitcoin bank and we prefer to pay out miners regularly and always keep only minimal amounts in our hot wallet. The current values for daily payouts are not set too low so even is you're receiving four-times per day payments it will not generate noteworthy dust in your wallet. And there aren't any other reasons why not get paid frequently, right?

Thank you for using our service!

Ok... just looking for ease of use..I"m a legal miner..would prefer not to pay transaction fee(s) for 4 outputs a day to the address and also I have to keep track of what BTC I mine
each time it hits the address so 4x a day is kinda a pain in the butt...(not complaining thou..in hindsight 25% off due to equip depr i was a little over board in that area) Smiley

Anway ....I have not had to pay any taxes via 2013 IRS guidelines yet also ...but I DO keep good books just in case........thus was looking at a payout of 1x a day or pool
the BTC say to 1 BTC before payout ...something like that.

I have knc titan units so it essentially would be LTC to BTC 4x a day with you guys I guess is how it works.

Not a big deal ..my choices will be based on how LTC continues to be in lockstep with BTC ..if it stays at current 0.006 LTC to BTC which it seems to have done the last
few months..I will hold...if she dumps or disconnects from BTC and is no longer in lockstep i will be using your services promptly Smiley

choices ..choices..thanks for the update ....but as you can see above had my reasons besides just using you guys as a bank (although i likely would up to say 3 BTC ) Smiley

(by the by legal miner in USA due to bank error SEC was involved fixed in 1/2 hr meeting with bankers and SEC on the phone.....but kinda going legal in 2013..is what made it go away in that 1/2hr so far no taxes paid due to equip purchases on mining (because 2014 sucked in price vs equip) ...so I kinda squeaked thru that problem...just in case people are going wtf why did he file.....in hindsight it has worked well...would much rather be paying my fair share on 1k coin however.) Smiley

Miners (sellers): BitGo is having issues today and this round of payments will be delayed due to additional wallet communication verification with BitGo. Everything is under control, we just need to make sure BitGo will properly process the transactions. Thanks for your patience.
