Hey everyone, just to keep you all informed because I see it's now leaked into the AsiaCoin thread.... heh.... So I've received numerous requests from the AsiaCoin community for help and support from myself and the whitecoin foundation. Naturally, I told them I have my hands a bit full right now. However, throughout the conversation an idea did get floated: Concept: WhiteCoin was saved and revived because of a community rallying that went outside its own community and into the world at large of crypto. In many ways, we owe a debt to our larger community. But we also owe existing debts to the individuals who helped us save WhiteCoin. Proposed compromised: I suggested, that if a bounty were gathered by the AsiaCoin community and donated to the WhiteCoin Foundation (specifically to pay our team for work done to date), that it would then be something worth considering in WhiteCoin's best interest. To make things clear: This is only a proposal. I'd like everyone's opinion on this. And to be very specific, I would not be taking the lead of AsiaCoin. I would offer them my knowledge and instruction on how to organize as we have, in exchange for a donation to our community. This in the end would not take much of my time at all, because I'd be taking from existing material to help teach them: - How to properly rally a community - The different between begin a leader and a pr rep - Instruction on how to operate a team with a democratic consensus based approach - Instruction on how to independently verify the work of strangers you don't know over the internet To make clear again, if we did this, I would not be taking on a leadership role in AsiaCoin. I look forward to your thoughts, and thanks very much. Chris Tell them you'll help as long as the whitecoin multipool is over 1Gh. They send their miners our way and you'll help organize their recovery. Once the whitecoinpool dives under 1Gh just ignore them. Once they have a working wallet they will ignore our multipool. Win-Win Excellent idea!

Of courrse, we should help Asiacoin if we can. I do not even understand how people can be so egoist ! It is not as if we had to sign any contracts with Asiacoin!
Asiacoin has also a great community, very similar to Whitecoin. Asiacoin and Whitecoin were the two new big coins and had to go through difficult times.
I think it would be fair to help Asiacoin and could bring a lot to our community and proove, again, what we can do.
Great job to all the people who are making all this possible
Best wishes

I never really checked out Asiacoin cause i was dancing on the tables too much during Whitecoin's PoW. How is it a scam? Did the dev leave? Just like Satoshi did with his 1 million BTC? A crypto-currency doesn't need a dev-team on top of the pyramid, it needs diversification. Or is there any malware involved like dafuqcoin?

Let's say there is 2% stake interest a year.
What if only 50% will be staking, will they get 4% a year ? Or 25% ? Will they get 8% a year ?

AC is ' radioactive' and WC shouldn't be involved with it, IMO. +1

How is it a scam? Did the dev leave? Just like Satoshi did with his 1 million BTC? Something like that. Except 1/21 is a tad less of the pie than the AC premine. AC is working to fix that situation, though.

mogonzo and everyone in whitecoin is from chunkypools. they switched the whitecoin network to their control effectively centralizing the whole currency. these are the same people who lost 2 million doge in feburary. see reddityou are entrusting everything in their hands. and btw the new artwork and website is horrible. you all should dump as soon as you can. this is never going to the moon or any other planet except maybe uranus. now you can never say u werent warned.

aaaaaaaand it crashed again coming closer though, maybe i can send my coins to an exchange. Try this: 1. Delete everything. (except the wallet containing your whitecoin of course, backup it on your desktop for example) 2. Install new wallet. 3. Copy your wallet address to a notepad and then exit the wallet. 4. Backup that same wallet.dat. 5. Replace your wallet.dat with the one containing your whitecoin. 6. Startup the wallet again and quickly send 1 whitecoin to the address you just wrote down in notepad. 7. Quickly exit the wallet after you send. 8. Check the explorer in 5-10 min if the address you sent to recieved the whitecoin. If they did, then send the rest Here's the explorer: http://cryptexplorer.com/chain/WhiteCoinJust paste your address in the search bar. This time i really fixed it!!! The solution was even simpler than the last attempt. The problem was that my wallet was not encrypted. I encrypted my wallet, the blockchain finally downloaded without crashing. Then i unlocked my wallet for staking without problems. So guys: If you have problems with a crashing wallet:close whitecoin first 1. go to %appdata% or application support /whitecoin 2. delete the blockchain files 3. reopen whitecoin 4. whilte redownloading the blockchain, encrypt your wallet. 5. UNLOCK FOR STAKING ONLY WHEN BLOCKCHAIN IS FULLY DOWNLOADEDCase closed, my wallet is fixed

There is a very large difference in annoucning a 0.74% premine and dumping it and trying to hide a premine block that is 10 times the size of the entire supposed coin distribution and selling parts of it. It's like comparing a guy getting caught selling a dime bag to a druglord in mexico.
