We need a PR team or something, need to get this get known and higher volume on some exchanges like bittrex

A simple listing on CoinmarketCap would be a good start. Has anyone contacted them yet?

Weird. I'm using two different computers, with two different firewalls, on an internet connection with a 10ms ping time. Sometimes it's all green, then for a few minutes at a time, I get a ton of shares that fail to submit (and a few failed shares in-between from time to time). Not sure what the problem is.

Are you on the latest version?  That looks like one or two of the bugs I fixed in some commits last week -- please update your source or binaries if you haven't already.  If you have, could you let me know the git revision of your source checkout, or where you got your binary from?

I'm using the latest BBR simpleminer (bbr-win64-v0.2.0.20-f9bfe73); I'm also getting the same error with the Cryptonote miner. Aside from solo-farm mining, is anyone still solo mining Boolberry? I don't see how the sole public BBR pool only has about .25% of the total network hashrate. Is the majority of the Boolberry hashrate being driven by the rumored private GPU miner?

dga has done a lot of work with simpeminer, but no matter what is done it still uses http.  The pool (bbr.extremepool.org) has built in support for stratum we just need a stratum miner like cpuminer-multi (minerd) and this problem will go away.

your other option is set a cron job or bat file to restart simpleminer, that typically solves the problem.

Hello friends, good news!

Today we have a new build v0.2.0.24(1ada156), that includes:
  • optimized miner algorighm (+15-20% mining speed) for windows
  • GUI now have new version notice
  • adjusted transactions size in wallet (once again), to avoid unminable transactions (that stucked in pools), adjusted default tx fee
  • adjusted html in few places
  • qt-GUI is released. After about a week of betta testing didn't find any serious bugs and, now it's included in all official builds. (MacOS prebuild binaries is coming soon, but, you can build it by yourself on your Mac, if you want).

Few words about new version notification: it is based on alerts signed by developers, that propagated over p2p network. So when some serious bugs are found we can quickly notify users that they need to update software. (unlike other cryptonote coins)
As i wrote before, this notifications let developers to indicate the builds that is critical to update, but at the same time it is not allow to specify any text or link in this notifications, so even if private keys will be stolem users can't be affected.

Here is example screenshot of new version avaliable:

Alerst have different modes, to indicate importance of update (this importance is related to build, for example: if buid 22 had critical bug then alert showed in build 22 as CRITICAL importance, and if build 23 also is not last one but don't contain critical bugs than alert showed there in calm mode, with blue color).

Here is an example of screen with crittical alert(red text actually is blinking):

What next:
Next gui verson will include
* showing recent transactions after opening wallet
* start mining button.

But now i have to switch my focus on stratum pool server/client.

There is no link to the GUI on the main ANN.  Why not?

I get the exact same compile error as you using latest Ubuntu 14.04.  Monero also compiles fine for me and a previous version of boolberry was OK for me as well but not latest...

It depends on your cpu thread. if on windows go to task manager -> performance and see the number of cpus you have that will be the number of threads.
