I'm sorry to interrupt the current discussion but I have a technical question regarding Boolberry/Rune or whatever it's going to be called.

Is there a method for changing wallet passwords?  Or do I need to create a new wallet and transfer the coins?  If I have an alias attached to the wallet I want to change the password on is there a way to transfer that to the new wallet if that is what I need to do to change the password?

I agree it seems one sided, and slapper is way too abrasive. I don't want to speak for zoidberg, but it may be because you two have been way overboard for a while, though, that he feels he should step in. We get it already. You don't like the name or dungeons and dragons. It's just gone to the point where it's past discussion and only constant complaints. At this point, the wheels are in motion. You don't get it already.  I like D&D and get along splendidly with all manner of sci-fi neckbeards, ghey cosplay/furry freaks, pagans, Wiccans, etc.  I often go to Burning Man and have a great time with all manner of people sporting rune tattoos/scars/body paint.

However, those associations in the form of "Rune" offer no comparative advantage to our status quo Boolberry brand, and the rebrand has demonstrably fractured the community.  How much social capital and goodwill are you willing to sacrifice to get your way?  2/3 of it?  All of it?  Good luck with that.

As for sussex and I posting too much, sorry but that's how a discussion works.  We're exploring a topic and developing/responding to arguments, not just posting the same thing repetitively.

Well, it does come off that way at least to me when viewing the page. Sorry, I shouldn't have poked my head in probably. On topic, I also like the original name, but see why the need to change. I'm excited to see what branding comes from it. If it's professional, any association with the underworld/neckbeardverse will be overlooked I'd hope. Have we had confirmation that Rune is the name from cz? Maybe he'll pull a switcharoo on everyone name it something completely different and piss everyone off, heh. (Hint: cezium)

Rune is avoiding the problems of the Boolberry name

I like the Ciphers as a way to avoid the silliness attacks against the Boolberry name, but I want to keep BBR, so my suggestion is "BBR Ciphers" where the BBR is just BBR and this allows continued usage of BBR so there wont be any big changes from the trading side. Also, people can still think of it as Boolberry Ciphers.

I suggest we hold a vote, but agree to abide by CZ's decision. It is his coin and I think ultimately he can call it whatever he wants to, but having an indication of what the community wants is important.

In the past where important things are being voted on, the sockpuppet issue arises. There are all these polls, but how can anybody really believe them?

So, my solution is voting by post. Somebody will need to tally all the posts and make a summary list (handle + name) and this allows CZ (and everybody) to give proper weight to the votes cast.

We need a volunteer to keep track of the votes. My vote is for "BBR ciphers"

As I am sure many others would feel, that poll was rigged. I didn't like any of the names, and the choices weren't voted on, they were stuck in their with the expectations that Boolberry and Rune where the only real choices.

BBR is great name, everyone was opposed at first, but after a few weeks you get to like it. windy (the marketing guy) just came on board recently and hasn't got through incubation period yet, in a few weeks he will get infected and then he will regret name change.

We can have honest vote or you CZ act as benevolent dictator and cut the Gordian knot - both is perfectly fine as it is you who dedicated a lot of time and energy. Just decide alredy.

If you guys want a name with a deep meaning, you may be interested in names deriving from "shells" because according to Nick Szabo Origin of money paper, it is shells that were used as money at the beginning.

People here already are not the right people to judge whether Boolberry is a marketable name or not, because it's easy to get used to anything, but for new people it'll take a lot to overcome the initial aversion to using such a cartoonish name for their money. Probably Boolberry would be much higher on marketcap now with a better name. I imagine most people came to here in spite of the name rather than because of it and then maybe came of like it. But making people think twice/three/ a dozen times before even considering the coin because of the name will be a rock around its neck for a long time holding it back unless it is changed now.

But an open vote is fine too, as long as we are allowed to choose BBR.

How is that the opposite. I'm saying that it turns off new users, but it doesn't matter once you are already a holder, which you seem to agree with. Makes it terrible for marketing to new users.
