I think Boolberry is a terrible name. People here already are not the right people to judge whether Boolberry is a marketable name or not, because it's easy to get used to anything, but for new people it'll take a lot to overcome the initial aversion to using such a cartoonish name for their money. Probably Boolberry would be much higher on marketcap now with a better name. I imagine most people came to here in spite of the name rather than because of it and then maybe came of like it. But making people think twice/three/ a dozen times before even considering the coin because of the name will be a rock around its neck for a long time holding it back unless it is changed now.

I think it is quite the opposite, it may put down some ppl in the start but it is not a problem for the long time holding. Some do need incubation period with it, and that fact was used as a FUD against it, that is true

How is that the opposite. I'm saying that it turns off new users, but it doesn't matter once you are already a holder, which you seem to agree with. Makes it terrible for marketing to new users.
hence my suggestion of "BBR Ciphers"
it wont mean anything to new users, but the people that love the boolberry can still have a link to it

I misunderstood the end of your post, thought you were saying that the name will go bad with the time in the head of an average holder. sorry

why?
this method works. sockpuppets have no point to vote, only people that are known will have impact
it is an advisory vote to let CZ know what the community (and individually) wants

Then I think we can all agree that as the creator and dev of the coin, he should be able to decide based on the voting details
So, the process I proposed has been accepted by the vocal critics, at least I hear no screaming or calling me the devil.

Speak up now and post your vote. After some reasonable period, it will be tallied by handle/name and posted for accuracy.
Then CZ decides

Process Defined. Now we just need more than the three votes!

I like BBR Ciphers. I've always just called it bbr anyways.

I currently have all my hashing power on this. Does a rename necessarily change the mining software right away? Just looking to be ready just in case I need to recompile stuff.

I will vote for just part of this name:  Cipher.

Without a name/phrase next to BBR, it could be mocked as "broken beyond repair".
My new concern with my original vote "Rune" is there is a "runecoin", which has been brought up.  Otherwise, I could care less if a game or comic is also using this name.

This name thing is blown out of proportion.  There have been much input that CZ and windjc can consider, only if helpful in making the final call.  And we should respect that decision and refocus on the tech.

I'm confused. Are we submitting names, or picking from a list? Seems pretty unorganized.
If I can submit, I vote CEZIUM, or CZM. It has crypto_zoidberg's initials in it Smiley Cesium explodes when mixed with water. How cool is that?
