Again nonsensical argument to protect your investment.

You keep saying that, but it is not becoming more relevant.

Correct. It has always been relevant.

Right. That's why no one is required to show I.D. in order to run a bank.

So Monero's a bank?

It seems pretty clear that you do not want to protect your investment.  If you did, you wouldn't hand it to an anonymous person over the internet.

I know my sister-in-law. I wouldn't have her protect my investment.

Being created to avoid "scams" is not a merit.

I disagree. The technology is what it is, and it is strong. But any technology or source of wealth can destroyed or stolen by scams. That has happened throughout human history, and crypto is not only not an exception, it is a vastly higher risk environment. Avoiding scams is incredibly important.

There has to be some way to terminate this thread forever.  Or at least to prevent spammers from injecting their obvious deceits.

I would be willing to moderate for atleast a little while on a self moderated thread. Though im sure I would eventually grow tired of that job and have to pass on the torch. If i get enough comments showing support for the idea ill go ahead and make it.

Their deceits are pretty transparent. Let them try. You won't win this debate by suppressing it.

We survived the DRK shills and trolls and the BCN shills and trolls and we will survive the rest too. If anything they will get better funded and more competent. Someday anyway, hasn't happened yet.

Ok, in point I agree. But any non-scam can claim this merit. It hardly distinguishes XMR.

It can be locked and a new one started that is moderated.

This of course will lead to the "echo chamber" troll/claim.

Anyone can create a thread. If it becomes popular, good on you.

The official thread will remain unmoderated for now.

Other communication channels will be added, in time.

I agree that the original thread should remain unmoderated. I just think it might be nice to have a moderated alternative.

Look, I've been trying to leave this conversation for a while. So don't close your thread over me. But, the reason I've kept this conversation is that I have told myself I simply will not let lies and propaganda that have been spread over the last several months continue. I will call it out, where ever I see it, even if its right here. It simply must stop.

Good job on the MEW. I hope it raises funds so you dont have to mess with emissions. I hope your whales become more generous and I hope you have no more attacks on you anytime soon. I know its been a hard week, so next week will only be better more than likely. Again, I apologize if I added to anyones stress. Just following a promise I made to myself, thats all. Good night and good luck.

You can't identify a non-scam by mere declaration, therefore such declarations have no value (i.e. both scammers and non-scammers will claim to be non-scammers.) Only verifiable attributes can convey non-scamminess, such as known identities or structural considerations.

Ideally, the development team is non-financially motivated, but since they are
We are not, but tell me how we'll pay the developers and the consulting and everything? Have you cake and eat it? How much did you donated? How much ALL  OF YOU holders donated?
Answer: not enough. Now if you have a solution, we are all ears. You are calling us greedy and I take it as a personal insult.

Wait, Risto says you are one of the 7 developers. But you pay someone else to develop? :Mind Blown:

How is the notion of teamwork so complicated for you?  Some programmers have more means than others.  Why would it bug you if one buys the lunches for another?  Everyone does better if they aren't worried about where the next meal comes from.

Multiple choice

1. Because he is a troll
2. Because he is a troll
3. Because he is a troll
4. All of the above

That hurt my feelings smooth. But Karma is a bitch. It is only in your head that BCN and now I am reading DRK trolls that you are fighting, for the good of humanity. Get your head out of your ass. You won't be getting new money, you have played out your lies and propaganda. BCX isn't a BCN shill or a DRK shill. Half of the forum really dislikes this coin or possibly more. It is still commendable to see a lot of bonhomie and solidarity between some of the investors, it really is. Other coins can at least learn this aspect.

@David Latapie, Fuck you fucking slave. You are the cancer of crypto. Get the fuck out and at least have the common decency for the dev funds to go to real devs. You really have no self respect or dignity. At least I can thank the likes of you to dump my coins back in August. Go and lick Risto's balls and call yourself a developer. Shameless.

Resist all you want, people can see who really are trying to advance CryptoNote and eventually money will go in the right place.

Actually, let me not be accused of silencing criticism.

That hurt my feelings smooth.
Visit a feelings specialist for treatment (caution: medicine might need to be applied directly to butthurt).

But Karma is a bitch.
C'est la vie and other platitudes.

It is only in your head that BCN and now I am reading DRK trolls that you are fighting, for the good of humanity.
No, definitely not. Apparently there are also BBR trolls now (hint, hint). Or is it Rune? Or is it RuneBerry? Or is it WindjcDecidesTheNameCoin?

Get your head out of your ass.
But it's so warm and cozy up here.

You won't be getting new money, you have played out your lies and propaganda.
Damn guys, do you hear that? Dump XMR and buy BURST or something.

BCX isn't a BCN shill or a DRK shill.
No, he's clearly above that level.

Half of the forum really dislikes this coin or possibly more.
Half of the forum is mindless trolls or possibly more (more than trolls? more than half?? is it true???)

It is still commendable to see a lot of bonhomie and solidarity between some of the investors, it really is.
Indeed.

Other coins can at least learn this aspect.
Indeed.

@David Latapie, Fuck you fucking slave.
Hear that Slave Latapie?

You are the cancer of crypto.
Told you Slave Latapie, you should be the capricorn of crypto.

Get the fuck out and at least have the common decency for the dev funds to go to real devs.
I'm sure that, if he doesn't do anything and pays others to do the devving, then the dev funds go to the real devs, don't they?

You really have no self respect or dignity.
Slaves are not allowed to.

At least I can thank the likes of you to dump my coins back in August.
Power to you.

Go and lick Risto's balls and call yourself a developer.
Hear that Slave Latapie? Hope Risto practices proper pubic hygiene.

Shameless.
"Erotic" is what I had in mind.

Resist all you want, people can see who really are trying to advance CryptoNote and eventually money will go in the right place.
Judging by trade volume, market cap, liquidity, old timers, whales, trolls, I would venture to guess money already chose where to go.

With all these "fuck you" and "troll" and " moderated thread " begs the conclusion that quite a few nerves are frayed. It is also evident that that an inflection point is reached (or will be soon reached) : and as such if the same people keep at it, the chances for a regrettable action only increases exponentially.

IMHO we will need to transcend several such inflexion point before a credible consensus is reached and an action plan decided upon.

My request is that anybody irritated , dazed and dejected should take a step back, recharge their battery and then join again. Otherwisie you risk compromising your high standards.

You are trying to derive a credible consensus out of a diverse community. It can be likened to winning a series of battles in order to win a war. How can that be easy? It will necessarily be long drawn , messy  and gut wrenching.

FRAYED NERVES AND RESULTANTANT ACTIONS ARE ONLY DETRIMENTAL TO THE CAUSE AT HAND.            '

An extremely important post, and the position I have taken through the last very long period of time.  It is not beneficial to push "discussions" in the midst of turmoil.
