im seeing a lot of strong competition popping up which seam to have a lot of scaling solutions.
i appreciate any answers and replies in advance. Thanks
You are? Are you going to tip the tread off to the strong competition, or are we just meant to believe you? Try, "I'm seeing a lot of completion like [put competition here] " etc. Thanks in advance (Definition of seem 1 : to appear to the observation or understanding 2 : to give the impression of being) From his sig: PRiVCY ➢ Own Your Privacy! ➢ Best privacy crypto-market! ★ ✈✈✈[PoW/PoS]✅[Bounty]✅[Airdrop]✈✈✈ ( https://privcy.io/So he's shilling for that coin. Wonder how many posts it takes to get the bounty. Lol @Oranium80 Lets hear all the reasons that shitcoin is better than Monero. I read the Announce thread and it's joke. Not one specific thing and nothing but promises and observations. Another masternode scam coin.

orderbooks are already very thin; the more pairs there are, the more thin it becomes for each pair
Yes, now very soon even more volumes will fall in trading on the exchanges, because soon the summer. There will be people new participants to start the money now, the rest time begins. Maybe now we'll all wait for the autumn.

hey guys i have been following monero for a long time now and i can see that its the top privacy coin however im seeing a lot of strong competition popping up which seam to have a lot of scaling solutions. what does monero have planned to address the scaling issues ? i think in this current era that being able to handle a high amount of transactions per second would be extremely important.
i appreciate any answers and replies in advance. Thanks
Bullet proofs are developed and in testing, they will bring an 80+% space savings on chain. Just have to emphasize, Monero does already have an adaptive bock size, being recalculated every day. So even before bullet proofs are implemented, Monero has much more scalability than Bitcoin (without Lightning Network that needs a kind of extra-trust) and many other coins with fixed block size (Bitcoin Cash, Litecoin, Zcash, etc.).

Not to be a party pooper, but just because Monero has adaptive block size does not mean it is "much more scalable" than fixed block size coins with much much smaller transaction size... It only alleviates network congestion at the cost of disk space used by full nodes.

Could someone elaborate about Ledger Nano S Monero support?
Will it be required an upgraded firmware? Will it be native to Ledger Nano S or interface remains Monero Wallet with hardware validation (like MEW and Stellar wallets online)?
Thanks.
You have to run the Monero app in conjunction with the Monero software (either the CLI or the GUI). Note that, in the initial version, you can only generate a Ledger Monero wallet with the CLI. However, you can subsequently use it in the GUI. In addition, see: https://monero.stackexchange.com/questions/8503/how-do-i-generate-a-ledger-monero-wallet-with-the-cli-monero-wallet-cliThanks, I was missing the ledger monero app, it was under that "show developer itens". I think I'll wait for 12.2 GUI, however. You're welcome.

Including or not Bitcoin Private that you spammed about few days ago? Or you voted up 'Bitcoin Private' exactly because it is not private? Lol. You are classic troll. Seriously: no privacy - no coin at all. Cryptocurrencies become just candy wrappers without privacy. Privacy is the most fundamental property of the notion of Cryptocurrency. Those hype coins will be forgotten in a few weeks or months. Monero, on the other hand, will stand the test of time. Building for the long term always entails short term sacrifices.

This confused me. Access can be restricted to particular certificates using the --{p2p,rpc}-ssl-allowed-certificates, which takes a list of paths to PEM encoded certificates. This can allow a wallet to connect to only the daemon they think they're connected to, by forcing SSL and listing the paths to the known good certificates. Does that mean you can be connected to a trojan (local) daemon while thinking you are connecting to a specific one or have there been cases of redirects (remote) or is this just a added layer so that this cannot happen?

Maybe only 0,01% study the coin they use. Most just don't care. What I personally cannot understand how can someone send to any exchange or any other internet service that require copy of their passport, drivers license, credit card copy, home bill address, etc... This is all info you should never ever send to anyone.
