Sorry for off-topic, and I know that cryptosphere is predominantly male (and probably white), but is that not the white manniest picture you've ever seen? Adamant team looks like they're about to go to rally in Charlottesville, VA.

Also, besides it being kind of silly to store every message into perpetuity on the blockchain, it also seems kind of silly to have a fixed price (fixed in adamant) to send every single message. Nobody wants to pay per message, especially in something that will wildly fluctuate in value.

Also also, everytime I read Adamant I think of an ant named Adam.

Adam Ant LOL...

Is there any ETA for GUI v0.13? Will it be alongside the hard fork or before?

It should be released 1-2 weeks in advance of the scheduled hard fork of (approximately) the 18th of October.

Guys, I need help. Tell me, where is the best place to keep coins?
I put a normal wallet, but it took a lot of local hard drive space. Now I think maybe there's a better way?

GUI is best. But yes take like 50gb of space.  You could take mobile or light wallet here: https://getmonero.org/downloads/

Adam And was awesome cartoon.
You are exaggerating with Charlottesville.

How much is this webwallet safe? Is this something like a myetherwallet for an eth or is it a full-fledged purse through which money can be taken away when hacking?

It is safe for you to use it. If you plan to store immense amounts of wealth with Monero then you use paper wallet. If you plan to use big amount of wealth in Monero then you use Ledger Hardware wallet. If you plan to use your wealth in Monero then use GUI. If you plan to use some wealth in Monero then use MyMonero.   Every wallet has its own use case. Usually the ones that are most secure need more time and knowledge to handle.

You dont use same wallet for your pension found and for your morning coffee purchase.

OK thanks!
And will GUI v0.13 improve the easiness to generate a Monero wallet on the Ledger Nano S?

There's a PR that should ensure both Mac OS X and Linux are plug-and-play too. However, I am not entirely sure it will already be included in v0.13.0.0. Thus, it may not be included in a release until v0.13.1.0.

Adam Ant is not a racist clan;(the left is always throwing darts), we all know who the liars and cheats are thanks to technology and dummies not using encrypted text messages...The crypto space is for everyone, even the fear mongers. Undecided

I have installed GUI v0.12.3. I have chosen "Remote Node", I have waited for the 1.6M blocks to be downloaded, until all was synchronized. Then I have closed the GUI.

Now that I have reopened it, under Network Status, it is written that "Daemon is synchronized" but under "Wallet blocks remaining" I have to resynchronize with the whole >1.6M blocks.

Why is that? Will that happen every time I close the GUI?

Assuming you're using the GUI in conjunction with a Ledger device, see:

This is the speculation thread to ask those price speculation questions.

Well at least you can rest peacefully knowing full well that your processor has done more for humanity than most every person that's ever lived up until the point in time in which you decided to halt it (if you so did).

Surely that's no reason to be all sad and stuff Cheesy
