Hi there,

Going to give this coin a go so synced over night and started mining.

Has rate is as follows :-

hashrate: 17.1579
hashrate: 17.0000
hashrate: 17.0526
hashrate: 17.3158
hashrate: 17.3158
hashrate: 17.1579
hashrate: 17.1053
hashrate: 17.1053
hashrate: 17.5789

See what happens!

I now have 17 in my wallet.  I'm not sure if this is good or bad but considering I have 30 x 2.3 threads I would hope for more!  While less may be worth more, on a new coin it is nice to see more results and this inspires you to continue.  I had the same perception problem with bytecoin.  While I understand pools may come early prospectors always like to find something ;-)

Yes, there is sth strange. I have 36threads - yesterday 8 blocks found, today only one. Quite big difference. Why? Too big difference to say that it's just a matter of luck.

Difficulty went up a lot recently:
two days ago: 301298
yesterday: 346375
today: 459337

That might be why.

So what is going on right now? Those that actually downloaded from git the previous 2 days are merge mining?

What is the plan? I for no reason want to support BCN...

I don't like the idea of merge mining. Why do I waste my hash power in BCN when I don't want to hold that currency?

BCN was created 2 years ago. It suddenly reappeared in this forum with unknown reasons. I considered it a heavily premined coins which benefits the owner only, not the community

No, the only thing that changed in github is the minor version number tag on the blocks. TFT had said that anyone using the new minor version number would be construed as "voting for" merged mining, but he later agreed that some explicit action will  be required to vote.

No merged mining is happening right now, and in fact there no code for merged mining in github yet.

The plan is to keep fighting to keep the BCN shills and ballot-stuffers from sabotaging this coin in order to pump their ninja premined BCNs. Hopefully we can stop them, but you have to recognize they have 100 billion reasons to keep trying.

Non native english speaker here. So my guess: the action to protect BCN brand and expand that community
