France played very well last night. The match was certainly interesting to watch.

It took me a while to get that but your right on that one
Both teams knocked out in the preliminaries so they are just as good  Grin
Anyways pre game discussion for todays games

Argentina Iran
Will say it goes to Argentina but can't be 100% since Iran plays well as seen in that last match vs Nigeria 90 minutes and both sides could not score a single goal tells you something about their defense and goalkeepers.

Nigeria vs Bosnia and Herzegovina
Don't know enough about either team to call it but will say Nigeria will win this match

Germany vs Ghana
Going to go with Ghana it seems like a German game but I think they stand a chance against the German lineup.

Argentina vs Iran will be either 0vs0(I don't think so) or many vs 0 to Argentina. Last match with nigeria was horrible, too many wrong moves and mistakes, both teams are technically bad, it was like a low tier local game. The only reasonable thing in the Iranian team is the defense, this is why I don't completely take the Argentina victory for granted, even tough I've bet on them

Nigeria:

They are technically weak, as I said before. I think Bosnia are better and have more change.

Germany:

they stand a chance, but not a big one. I think Ivory team is better than Gana, and they lost against colombia

I am still confused what was wrong with the Honduras goal in Extra Time
Guess I'll watch the post game show but to me it hit the pole then hit the player
Then went into the net while he was onside I must have missed something in that shot

If I'm not messing the annulated goal, it was hand touch + not marked impediment by the auxiliary referee

Probably they will win the match. None of the African teams are looking good enough to enter the PQF stage. Bosnia will have to fight it out with Iran to qualify, but it is very much possible.

What's everyone prediction on the Germany vs Ghana game? Are Germany going to stuff them or will Ghana give them a run for their money?

i find this article on huffpo to be stupid http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/06/20/uruguay-player-fifa-concussions_n_5512780.html

if the guy wanted to go back in, then let him.. but in the event that something does happen, he has to take responsibility for it.

It's not stupid. It's for the good of the player. If you've had a knock to the head you might not be thinking clearly, and obviously he wouldn't want to go off. You could do yourself some damage and you don't have the impartiality to make an informed decision and stupidity and pride often take over. Just look at boxers trying to go back in after they can barely stand. The officials or managers need to make a decision on this for the athletes' safety.

My prediction is a big win for Germany (90% of my predictions have failed so far).

Anyway, it will be nice to watch Kevin-Prince Boateng playing for Ghana and Jérôme Boateng playing for Germany in the same match.  Grin

My bets for today:

Argentina vs Iran:

Argentina wins, both teams scores: NO (so I don't lose all if it ends 0 0, also higher payouts than just bet on Argetina), smaller bets on 3-0 and 4-0 scores, 2.5+ goals.

Germany vs Gana:

Germany wins, both teams score, germany 2.5+ goals, 1.5+ goals overall, small bet on 3-1

Last WC was 1- germany, so its a risky bet

Bosnia vs Nigeria:

Bosnia wins, one of two teams make no goal(almost certainly nigeria, but it is a protection against 0-0 score too)

That Italy vs Costa Rica and Brazil vs Mexico games wasn't really profitable, hope I can recover

Really boring match. The Iranian defence is very good, and is preventing Lionel Messi and other Argentine strikers any room. Reminds me of the recent Brazil vs Mexico match. Will this one also end up as a goal-less draw?

At least in the Brazil game there have been some work for the goalkeepers, with great defenses. This is like iran vs nigeria 2.0, with a more skilled Nigeria.

Seems like I'll lose my 2.5 bet Sad
