Hi, can someone active in this campaign confirm me that currently updown.bt is not paying the last round? (thread is really long and i don't want to read all the background..)

They've payed. Some people did get a little less than they though but that might be because some of their post were spam. But yeah, they've payed everyone who's been confirmed.

this is true, but it's not exactly inspiring confidence that he has been completely MIA since June 05. that's a long time to go without addressing anyone's concerns on the forums, whether customers of his site or his sig advertisers. stay away, IMO.

He didn't respond before last payout either. It's fine, he'll be here. I hope.

Read previous post above you, the OP hasn't been online for 16 days and noone has been paid since then, just wait till he comes online, or maybe he's gone for good

Well, it hasn't actually been a month yet. And the deal was, after the last payout -- monthly payouts. It looks pretty bad, but it's still too early to be claiming fraud, etc.

This is getting ridiculous. People are so frickin' lazy.  Literally you can take 1 minute and read some posts but instead everyone just asks "can I join?  is he paying?"  I really hope these morons try to join and don't get paid. 

IMHO you can't claim fraud by updown yet.  You have to wait until July 5.  OP never said "I will be on before July 5", he just said he'll pay on that date.

It would not make sense to pay the first couple of weeks and than suddenly stop paying.

If he does that, many people will point out he's a scammer and his website will get much more negative publicity than it ever got positive publicity.

I hope it's not the case, but it would make sense to do that if he was just looking to gain some trust initially and then have free publicity for a month. Other than that, I don't know how profitable his site is but he could already have made more than what he spent on it, as others have pointed out elsewhere (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=656074.msg7437199#msg7437199).

Well, the link to the post I provided is discussing exactly that: depending on the amount of bets the site gets and what percentage of the winnings it keeps, this might actually be profitable. As soon as people realize it is a scam, he can shut down the site, keep whatever btc users have there, and move on to repeat the whole thing with a new site.

Also, I haven't checked this myself, but others were pointing out that the only way to contact UpDown was through this forum; the site itself offered no contact details except a thread here, which is odd.

Sure not looking to good for this signature campaign.  So the rule of thumb in situations like this is >30 days basically BS?

Would be pretty shameful to just cut and run without warning or explanation after only 1 month of payment.  At least RGC hung around for like 3-4 months and paid everybody.

Giving it until July 5th, before full on pitchforks and negative trusting.
