This isn't a question for short term, but will SHA-256 be in the multipool anytime?

I disagree, the alts that are kicking ass are sprinting, with devs sacrificing their comfortable lives to get jobs done. Not saying it's pretty, but it's reality

Satoshi's Gift was intended to free the people of the world from the manipulation and ruthlessness of the Capitalist system and their domination of Financial markets and commerce.
The Sprinters R short-sighted, self-interested, and concerned about personal PROFIT. They R of the same ilk as those running the Parade Satoshi wants to rain on.
The Marathoners C the future and will take slow, steady, sure, progress with the benefits envisioned by Master Nakamodo manifesting as the system matures. They will profit but the Karma produced by their efforts will ring for eternity.
Would U give 10,000 AC for a pizza today?
Would U pay 10,000 BTC for a pizza today?

That was scarily Marxist....and has a feeling of subliminal messaging "R R C U U" after spelling out the whole rest of the post you substitute those words with their letters and capitalized them........I ain't sayin...but I'm jus sayin.....

Interesting debate, one of the beauties of crypto is that it doesn't depend on big business or big government, and therefore in a way is apolitical. Regarding methods and strategy, both schools of thought are valid. Winning sprints means nothing if you lose the marathon, but you cannot win the marathon without winning most of the sprints. We are preparing for both with our best efforts, our next big sprint will be as soon as we launch the multipool. This big sprint will move us into a strong marathon position. The key point is we are invested in real progress, real growth, real success and we will succeed because we will not stop.

Oh I wasn't implying that crypto is Marxist I just meant the language in that post i.e. "Satoshis Gift", the rant on capitalism, "Master Nakamoto" sounded vaguely like the Rhetoric that used to come out of Russia and that now comes out of N. Korea
not to mention isn't bitcoin like the epitome of a free market i.e capitalist payment system since it by design isn't regulated or controlled by a central authority?

Russia used the name of Marxism without actually implementing it. I'm not really disagreeing with you. It's just a pet peeve of mine as an economics major. Karl Marx was a brilliant economist with visions of a utopian society. His ideas do have their flaws (as most do), but it would be interesting to see what would happen if somewhere in the world true Marxism was ever implemented. I'm not against Capitalism. It is definitely the most efficient economic system, but it is a bit... heartless. That's why we have a hybrid system. We call it Capitalism, but there is a little socialism thrown in.

Don't worry about it. I'm enjoying the conversation. The great thing about having a community around VeriCoin is that we can converse and debate as a community.

I would like to add one thing on the sprint vs marathon debate. Many people are under the mistaken impression that marathons are long and slow events. They are long, but they are anything but slow. Marathon winners usually cover the 26.2 miles in under 2 1/2 hours. That's better than 6 minute miles. To me, a six minute mile is pretty fast. I think that when we talk about marathon vs sprint, the big difference is not so much the speed (even though sprints are definitely run at a faster pace) but how far out the finish line is. We should not be running a sprint in the sense that we are only looking at the short term. In that sense, we want to be running a marathon. We want to run fast but be looking at the long term. In that way, we can have maximum growth AND maximum sustainability. Just my two cents.
