Will there be a way to send anonymously (Verisend) via SMS?

Well I can generally say how it works: We interface with a TXT api service. In our case we're using Nexmo. We have a software layer that can both send and receive text messages using Nexmo's API. We interface using RPC with the VeriCoin wallet. We have secret sauce that does the translation and databasing. We will inevitably have some sort of fee, probably around $0.01 per message to pay the SMS costs as well as the txfee. For now, I'll cover it with some donation money.

- vivalite
SMS is very insecure. With GSM Interceptor device I can intercept any message in my radius and/or mimic any phone # to send a message.

I completely agree. But it's the best some people can have (those with dumbphones and no computer for example). It's not designed to be a highly secure wallet.

Hmmm that last comment can be negative as positive.... easy to use to less security.....

It sounds like if someone wanted to send anonymously when on the go, they should send to a one time address via SMS and then use Verisend to send to their main address.

Looks like the SMS wallet will work as a "simple" method of using coins with you do not have a fancy phone / computer.

My main concern is, it is a good feature for a specific group, however how to use this in the real world. Have you ever tried using a Nokia, Iphone or Android to type over your wallet address....?

For people who have no other way of using crypto, it won't seem like such a big deal to enter the key. The point is that it is available to use which means much broader reach to unbanked peoples of the world of which there are billions. People who have smart phones aren't the target audience of such a technology.

Yes that sounds correct, however HOW to get involved into crypto's when you do not own a pc? Are they all going to keep their coins on their phone?
So I do think it's a good innovation, I just don't think it will benefit many people, when you look at:
- Why would people who are not into technical stuff (computers / smartphones) suddenly buy VeriCoins using a text message?
- How would they be able to store " large"  amounts, on their phone unencrypted?
- Where to even use the coins in real life?
- Can you backup the coins, what if your phone crashes?

Don't get me wrong, I think every step forward for crypto's is good but seems this piece of software will be used when crypto's are there for the masses. Right now are a still in the adoption phase for many of us, when I try to explain my mom she will have money on here phone she is afraid to lose her phone / break it.

What if the sender uses the text secure app to send texts?  It supposedly encrypts SMS automatically....https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.thoughtcrime.securesms

If this is a dumb question then please disregard...

TRUE anonimity and not cloned tech.

mpool didnt impress either. default nomp.

You want tru, complete & 100% anonymity why? Are you a drug dealing money laundering dope smoking degenerate of life or something? Or just looking for negative attention from strangers on the internet due to your horrible & gross lack of social skills?

Edit: I forgot to add Tax Evading, sorry about that.

You just think this is for end users at home, ummm I don't think so!
This involves 100% security for transactions, that is a killer sell point to big business or any business.

I have been getting payouts so I guess its just a reporting problem. The payouts come every now and again Smiley

Yes, the GUI for X11 share tracking is broken. We're working on it, but not too actively since we know it works. The shares are being appropriately tracked.

True, although some added layers of anonymity is a nice added feature for those worried about it. I like the dynamic interest myself, that is original and the only innovation I have seen with all the POS coins coming out. Adding the other stuff just gets VRC more attention, but it was undervalued as it was.

So you are against any cash transactions too?

Let me guess, you are a social worker when you're not trolling crypto forums?  Seriously, why don't you create the Eric Holder coin with 100% premine and you can distribute the coins to people who report their neighbors and relatives for domestic terror traits.. you know, like cleaning your shotgun in your own garage, planting an organic garden in your yard, doing a google search for pressure cookers, letting your kid play with a water gun, returning from combat after serving your country, questioning the government..

Edit: I forgot to add putting a piece of tape over your builtin webcame, sorry about that.

Get a life, loser.  I bet you'd vote Obama for a 3rd term if you could.

Sounds like a drug enduced rant.. do you need addiction services? I can provide you some links if you would like?
