Glad to see that curecoin is launched, I have been concerned about this project for a long time, and will continue to maintain attention, is also very happy for the novice to answer some questions, if I know. Cool Cool

Still not getting a passkey. Has anyone been able to generate one in the past few hours?

at step 8, Do i create my account with the same user name and email when i repuest passkey?
i run FAH 3 hours ago but my account in cryptobullionpools.com have nothing : PPD : 0 - CUR/Day (est) : 0
I believe it's only calculated every 24 hours? One of the devs can clarify that.
cryptobullions will keep showing 0. But you will get paid daily for your PPD. To look if its working/ look at your current points / look at curecoin team stats...
(click on 224497 in your folding at home program)  or click here :
http://fah-web.stanford.edu/cgi-bin/main.py?qtype=teampage&teamnum=224497
edit : ofc will only show points if you have indeed finished a wu /workunit. (workunits i get usully average @ 8hours)
Thank you very much.
I saw my username in Team members 224497.
But how do i create new account in cryptobullionpools.com to recieve CUR from my points? i have to use the same username and email when i request passkey?

Yup!! Use the exact same username for the cryptobullionpools.com pool as you used for folding@home on the passkey request form. If you want to double-check that username, look at the email you received, it will have your exact username in it.

You got my ASICs mining Curecoin and 4 mostly-idle computers folding. Well done!

Although it's way too soon for extra projects, any thoughts about curecoin becoming a part of human-powered folding via http://fold.it/ or similar?

Great question! One of the benefits of the way we are handling payouts is that new projects can be added to the coin, which would allow people to earn coins on more projects than folding@home. While we aren't planning for any specific project right now, the possibility is certainly there, fold.it is an awesome project, and a human-powered means of earning Curecoins would certainly be an attraction.

Folding away!
We are happy to be contributing to this endeavor Smiley
This is a major step to find a way to create a more intrinsically-valuable proof-of-work for legit cryptocoins Smiley

Whats the difference between a mining pool and a folding pool ?

The folding pool (cryptobullionpools.com) handles the payouts for all folding earnings.
The mining pools are set up by 3rd parties, and allow people to use their ASICs to secure the blockchain and get the mining share of the coin. Smiley

Hi questions from a noob :

-In the f@h client, what should I do when one of my gpu is showing in red with failed written on it?
-I have 2 absolutly identical rigs, why one is showing 300k ppd and the other only 90k? The only difference I see is the number of the project, one is working on 9406, the other is working on 9408.
-When ppd points are credited from f@h to curecoin account? 2500k ppd done and zero showing on my account...

Thank you

Seems like it would be very energy inefficient to fold with a CPU when you have a GPU, no? Is there a reason to keep the CPU going if it's not needed for the GPUs unless I have free energy or a REALLY grand desire to throw every possible resource at this? Smiley

Also, how long does it take them to send me a passkey? It's been 30 minutes and still nothing to both the emails I've tried. Not in the spam folder.

Edit: I guess this is my first post here, so I'll take the chance to congratulate the team on this excellent endeavor. I'm one of the donors and a long time follower and supporter. There's something heartwarming about seeing my processing power going towards something so useful! The last time I did this I only had a Pentium 2 running at 300mhz. Cheesy

Depending on the type of CPU you have, GPU mining is generally *far* more efficient. For people with very beefy CPUs (16+ cores) on linux, they can get bigadv WUs, which can earn upwards of 300k PPD. However, with standard desktop processors, the points payout is considerably lower (by a factor of 10-40) .

Yup, done once ever 24 hours, the next payout will be around 2am EST.

Are there any reference values for PPD with 280x gpus?

Hey Daliss! The update from f@h to the Curecoin folding pool (cryptobullionpools.com) occurs once every 24 hours. Smiley

For your rigs, those projects are very similar, and shouldn't be showing that discrepancy. Has this changed? If not, check the logs, and manually calculate the TPF by looking at the difference between timestamps on two messages from the same FS0x saying a new percent has completed, and compare that to the other rig. If those are similar, you should be fine and the PPD calculation is just off for now. If they are drastically different, then one machine is running significantly slower.

For a failed GPU, try restarting the computer, though that sounds like the driver is reporting a bad/failing GPU. Does mining work alright on that card?

There is no hard limit to the number of curecoins, however a set amount (7488 until the block halving in 4 years) is paid out per day for folding. As the coin is PoS, the total network value will continue to grow.

There isn't a specific reference yet, however a 280x is basically a 7970, which should be earning somewhere around 120-160k PPD.
