I think if folding ASICs were to ever become a reality that would be a great thing and Curecoin will have accomplished it's true purpose....Ridiculous amounts of computational power devoted to folding proteins. GPU folders like myself would be SOL as far as earning new coins, but if they had been hoarding their coins up until that point and the price skyrockets, they are also winners.

Glad to see the coin launched! Sad I missed the launch day but it is what it is.
My question is that I keep getting a message on all of my CGMiner that says something like "Share rejected due to target". I didn't write it down fast enough and now I have an error message that says "Worker temporarily banned". MY HW shows 0 so I don't think my intensity is too high. I use a bunch of AMD r9 280x's
Any help would be greatly appreciated! I'd love to get this project rolling.
You can't mine with GPU. You have to do folding@home - but its not like normal coin where you can see what you are earning, you have to wait apparently - so far I am waiting 3 days on 8 rigs and all i get is this: i don't know if the setup is wrong, am i wasting my time, i am listed on the F@H list but from what i can see nothing is going into coins - and people saying 'just wait its for a good cause' then why isn't there at least a message on the pool telling me this? why show KH = 0 if it doesn't work like that lol? also not getting any support - i did got one reply saying 'i saw this is fixed now' and nothing since?? to the people insulting everyone who is asking these questions and calling them stupid - try to understand coins are built around incentives - folding is not the incentive to miners, coins are the incentive to miners. its like that whole incentive structure has been taken out of here and you are disconnected, after 3 days with nothing back right now this feels more like a folding project with a coin strapped on that doesn't work properly, everyone is so excited about the folding team performance what about the coins i am supposed to be spending my $ on lol? before you accuse me of trolling, this is actually good advice - sort your coins / support side out please, this is what the coin's success relies on. Ignore KH = 0 it is irrelevant. Normally it takes 24 hours from the time that FAH shows your points until the pool picks it up. If you don't see 24 hours after FAH shows you having points, try contacting a developer. I don't think anyone is calling them stupid, I think people are just getting annoyed with impatient people who don't say something logical like you. I understand that the coins are strapped to miners, and we are working on getting the system to update quicker. Sry to bother but I have a noob question. I have been folding for more than 24hr now.F@H shows my score already but in the pool I still have zero PPD and no CUR. I checked my username and its exact the same for both F@H and the pool and Im sure in the right team. Am I missing something?

Only that it can take up to 72 hours between completion of your first WU and getting your first payout.

Interesting, this should be mentioned in the OP imo, as there are entire coins out there (Vert) based entirely on being scrypt-ASIC resistant, and here we have a coin where scrypt-ASIC resistance (or should I say immunity) is just one of it's amazing features.
Sorry, but this doesn't need to be mentioned in the OP. Sorry, but only a retard would think scrypt asics would be useful for folding. LOL. Telling people scrypt asic resistance is a feature of this coin is like a car salesman telling people their new SUV is asic resistant. It's useless redundant information and just makes the speaker as dumb as the person who would need to ask such a dumbass question. ASIC resistance is a feature. How much that matters now is debatable, probably not much at all. But the proof-of-work for Curecoin is (mostly) folding and folding has no ASICS being developed for it yet as it's one of a kind, making Curecoin ASIC resistant (apart from the 20% that goes to the SHA256 miners). And as bardacuda pointed out, if ASICS were developed for folding, that would be great for the advancement of science anyway. If you'd like to calmly explain how this is not true please explain, otherwise I ask you to refrain from insulting me.

The points shown in the team list are not your PPD (points per day), they are your total points so far. If you've completed 1 work unit worth 50k, but you will be doing that every <12 hours, then the numbers are correct.

For the record as of 13.5.2014 there is no working exchange for curecoin.
Bittrex listed wrongly (no cure there) Scifiexchange down (bad code) and the last one have zero in it.
Are people just keeping it ?

Because folding is the realm of REAL SCIENCE, not herp derp I can mint internet moneys by calculating 1000000000000 sha hashes per second. The projects on FAH are coded specifically for different research projects running code specifically written by the person doing the project. There are tons of projects running on FAH so there could never been a FPGA, much less an ASIC made that could do fuckall to help. These projects also end and are replaced by a long list of newer projects, researching newer proteins, smashing them using newer methods, calculated by using brand new code written by a different researcher. This is bioinformatics. If there was something as simple as needing such a generic algorithm to cure cancer, it would have been done already. Get out in the world and learn some real shit and this would have simply been obvious. 80% is folding, plain and simple. Not asic resistant algorithm. It's FOLDING. This is why I said it's redundant. Since you probably still don't understand. Folding is not asic resistant, it's asic proof. As is your car. As is your toaster. Maybe even your mom. Go ask your mom if she's asic proof.

With a 270x I'm getting very poor performance. gpu:0:Hawaii [Radeon R9 200 series]. In the work queue the ETA on the gpu is 10 days while my cpu is about 2 and a half hours. Any suggestions? Is my card just not powerful enough for this type of work?
turn off one core on your cpu. Your gpu will need it ...Advanced settings. under SLOT click on the cpu and change -1 to a number less than your cpu cores...

Before you try to fix something that's probably not even broken, I refer you to my previous reply: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=603757.msg6707438#msg6707438That said, you do get optimal performance by keeping 1 core/thread free for each GPU, plus one extra thread/core. I have 2 GPUs and get optimal perfomance using only 3 of my 6 CPU cores.

@cecilbdemented
I see your problem...you only waited about 10 minutes or so. It takes ~30 mins to calculate a proper ETA after you start a work unit. Until then your GPU will only show something like 1679 PPD, and an ETA of 10.20 days, and the progress bar will not show your true progress. If you look in the log, however, it will tell you your progress on your WU, and you can calculate your actual ETA from that.
Just look at the timestamp at some % progress, and then again when it is 1% higher, and multiply that amount of time by 100 to get your total ETA. In this case, if you had continued folding until you reached 3% progress, you could have used the difference in time between 2% and 3% to calculate.
13:54:30:WU01:FS01:FahCore 0x17 started 13:54:30:WU01:FS01:0x17: Found a checkpoint file 13:57:02:WU01:FS01:0x17:Completed 125000 out of 5000000 steps (2%) <---- Actual progress
14:06:16:FS01:Paused 14:06:16:FS01:Shutting core down 14:06:17:WU01:FS01:0x17:WARNING:Console control signal 1 on PID 3764 14:06:17:WU01:FS01:0x17:Exiting, please wait. . . 14:06:17:WU01:FS01:0x17:Lost lifeline PID 4308, exiting 14:06:17:WU01:FS01:0x17:ERROR:103: Lost client lifeline 14:06:17:WU01:FS01:0x17:Folding@home Core Shutdown: CLIENT_DIED 14:06:17:WU01:FS01:FahCore returned: INTERRUPTED (102 = 0x66)
14:06:25:FS01:Unpaused 14:06:25:WU01:FS01:Starting 14:06:25:WU01:FS01:FahCore 0x17 started 14:06:26:WU01:FS01:0x17: Found a checkpoint file 14:0......yadda yadda yadda, blah blah blah
I had this same 'problem' about a month ago when I was getting my rig ready to be able to fold, and I see a lot of other people posting about this 'issue'. Maybe the OP or the setup guide could be edited to say that the ETA will take a half hour or so to update?...and that seeing 1679 PPD and 10.20 ETA is normal until then. It might save a lot of questions and confusion among new folders thinking something is wrong when there isn't.
Yeah, you're absolutely right, I just had to be patient. I'm used to using cgminer and watching my hash rate immediately shoot up but this is a whole different thing. It took a few hours but the numbers are now reflecting what I expected.
