Anyone know what the minimum amount for staking is? I only have about .35 that I mined, some with over 7k confirms. But I still just have the "No mature coins" line in my wallet. Never have had problems with PoS coins before(BC, XC, etc) but this has me thinking I may be doing it wrong?

-Encrypted and unlocked.
-Last incoming transaction was way back on the 22nd
-Updated to latest wallet release, synced, and up to date

Anyone have any input/feedback?
i have excactly the same problem.they dont seem to care .and the people that are staking just tell u bad luck.real supportive community here lol
'

There is nothing to care about. Staking is pure luck. That was answered many times before. I have also no luck and stake nothing. That's life.
Everyone get's 100% stake per year. Some get it today, others tomorrow.

Hope this helps.
i know how staking works.omfg.im just saying why doesnt it say my wallet is staking down the bottom on the arrow instead of saying coin arent mature which they are.they have been in wallet since day one

try go to console and type
repairwallet

it may help, it may not.

Thanks! Didn't mean to seem impatient or to be pointing fingers. Dev and community have been great. Just wanted to make sure it wasn't some silly oversight on my part. >.<

get a grip with your impatience. please. it's early morning here - I haven't even put the kettle on yet and I"m an early riser. give the dev team a little SLEEPING time, huh?

i have over 2 sync some of it had over 8000 confirms most over 7000 and I just got my first stake today.  The max age is 30 days so you will see a stake before that time and it could be anytime during that time. I also have .18 that has over 3000 confirms that has not staked and is not counted as mature yet which I am not sure why.  Some saying you need 1000 confirms but that seems to not be the case, 5000 maybe? IDK,  but stake will come.

I want to be clear.   If the wallet is 100% synced then you will get staked right?

Look,

I have a lot of miniscule transactions and 1 large transaction to my wallet.
Those miniscule tranasactions have been comming in since day 1, and my oldest coins have 6777 confirms.
The large transfer only has 1352 confirms.

I staked this morning on the large transaction

It's just a lottery, the more coins with the same age just gives you a higher chance of getting lucky.

BIG RED LETTERS (MY FIRST) SO BEAR WITH ME:

NEED TO STAKE!!! MY COINS ARE BEING HELD HOSTAGE BY MINTAPAL!!! STOP THE STAKING WAIT FOR ME!!!

They aren't holding them hostage, they are securing them until the blockchain is running properly. If they didn't do this and you lost your coins you'd be screaming bloody murder, this is a better way.

And seriously? Wait for you? Grow up and then piss off you entitled prick

Either this has actually happened that you think I'm actually serious or you are just a bitter person who didn't get the sarcasm after endeless pages of FUD and trolling (if you had followed from the start).

I've been a supporter from before launch and I would return the insult but I'm not willing to go as low as you have. Thank you for letting me know who you are.

Actually no, I didn't get the sarcasm, it was late in the UK and I was catching up on a few hours of this thread and all I was seeing was FUD. I too have been here since before launch supporting this. I'm sorry I miss understood your post, but mixed in with everything else, it looked pretty serious.

I still stand by there being a lot of self entitled pricks in here though, the dev is still here, they need to have a little faith.

Good work MsCollec and Josh. The wallet is now running and syncing fine.
For anyone having trouble with syncing, this config should work.

Code:
rpcuser=user
rpcpassword=pass
rpcport=24240
listen=1
server=1
addnode=107.170.124.180
addnode=162.243.214.192
addnode=192.241.240.216
addnode=107.170.159.98

PS: Please update the block explorer. It's still showing the old blocks.

Finally it shows "Up to date." now 8245 blocks.  I deleted files in the roaming/sync eccept wallet.dat and sync.conf. Then after the sync stucked at 8200 I closed it and opened it several times.

may I just intervene here, I understand that English is not the first language of everyone, but 'stucked' is not a word.

latest wallet under ubuntu 13.10 @ correct block - not staking. my coins came in with 10-11 transactions. oldest has over 5k+ confirms, newest around 850. maybe my 0.11 sync are not worth staking Tongue
I also thought about sending them to another of my addresses, don't know if that helps.

still no coin aage for my 0.1 sync, gonna bounce it to an exchange and back in one lump n see if that makes a difference

remember you will need to wait the minimum coin age all over again if you move or mix coins

so.. been asleep (tl;dr)

have we any idea when mintpal will be opening up the gates? i've two withdrawals waiting to get to my wallet and I'd rather these coins were staking in my own wallet, as opposed to theirs?

Mintpal stated back in March that it wouldn't stake POS coins.

https://support.mintpal.com/index.php?module=announce&sec=view&id=10

And on one of the forums they said it was because it would mess their audits up so they never stake them
