remember, peeps, the multipools were unable to dump this last night. Give it at LEAST a day from block 8200 before you freak about the price. Then watch the volume drop and the price rise

I’ve kept my wallet open for days and still no stake. This could happen, PoS kinda works like a lottery and not everyone will receive their interest every 8 hours. You WILL receive your 1% on a yearly basis, it just may take a little while. now for fucks sake, grow some fucking patience you bunch of girls.

my sync wallet is actually correctly staking Yes, but I don't think anyone got minted SYNC yet. Is it the POW flag that is blocking it?I am thinking that may be the issue. Maybe a bunch us need to go back to hashing at the p2p to get those 1000 blocks out of the way? Maybe clearing out those blocks would make the exchanges happy too?. just my thoughts...but i am not a techie.

Well said raskul...I think people were freaking out because of the transition fiasco and when people said they were getting stake/minting others wanted to know what was up. In times like this, a clear answer is helpful.
For now I'm going to leave it open and see what comes/happens in the future.

A lot of people need to realise that POS is the same as mining without the hardware, your stake still has luck, sometimes you hit a block, sometimes you don't (yes people, you WILL get orphan POS blocks, don't panic, wait a while and it should come through again with a slightly higher value) I've had many million ZEIT POSing in my wallet for a few months now, patience is a big part of it.

To be fair, I got into SYNC because I have extensive experience with PoS coins. I've mined, minted, bought, sold, and hell I even tried to launch one, but when it got stuck, I decided it was better to let it die than try and make good (and it would have been good, had it worked - but it was a tough run to achieve and I've no shame in saying that I voluntarily let it die.) anyhoo, I digress. The fact with PoS is that it provides an energy efficient way of mining a cryptocurrency. We've had 5/6 days of proof of work and all other coins will be minted simply by leaving your wallet unlocked. There have been some, and there will be other PoS coins. I choose this one. Well done to the development team, and long may we stake Sync. I currently mixing my coins between machines... I found issues in previous coins that early in the life of them, minting was more difficult on some machines, than others (not sure why - it just was) So, I'm mixing, and i'll need to wait the minimum stake age for each mix, but I'm sure each of my machines wallets will kick in minting eventually. The blockchain is showing PoS is active and I couldn't care less how long it takes the toy exchanges to open up trading again; they aint getting any of my SYNC. I'll say it again, fuck of and grow some patience, or just send all your SYNC to me, as an adult, i'll make sure they are safe.

Nice this is my first POS coin (having spent all my mining life on BTC/Riecoin and SRC) so this is fun and nerve wracking as well. I think we'd all be a little bit better off if we also didn't have to deal with the horrendous hater trolls.

ps. dev team... you NEED to build in a compulsory tx fee into the code. I've been mixing my coins for free and it's not good for the network. You need to have some sort of minimum tx fee to propagate PoS fairly, evenly and properly otherwise we will see the majority of early stake going to the bigger bag-holders (which is what we are seeing).
ADD: even make it 0.00000001SYNC it'll suffice.

Explain please? I have received coins from different exchanges and pools to different wallet addresses, still within the same qt. Will this reduce my chances to get pos early?

Explain please? I have received coins from different exchanges and pools to different wallet addresses, still within the same qt. Will this reduce my chances to get pos early? no, it won't reduce your chances, as explained previously, everyone will get 1% per annum. how tx ID works with PoS; the network recognises every wallet and transaction of equal value, if every transaction has the same fee paid back to the network. Without any TX fee, then the network sees bigger wallets as more important. So.... when the network sees a tx from a wallet with 13SYNC to a wallet with 0.004 sync (without a tx fee) it regards the larger wallet as more important, and put it higher in the 'minting queue' but... when the network sees a tx from a wallet with 0.004 sync to a wallet with 13SYNC (with a tx fee) it regards the wallet which has paid the tx fee as more important, bumping it up the 'minting queue' thus... an equal tx fee on all transactions equates all wallets equal in the network. makes sense?

Done around 5 or 6 tx's and never paid a single SYNC's nipple on any move.
